Lump in my earlobe

Common Questions and Answers about Lump in my earlobe

lump

Avatar m tn I had a small lump on my left ear almost a year ago. It causes pain when I touch it. After some time, it grew bigger. Now, there is another lump on my right ear. I went to consult a doctor and he said that they're just cysts and will not cause any harm unless they're causing problem to me then I'll have to remove it by surgery. Since they're not a big problem to me, so I decided to just leave them alone.
Avatar n tn Hello. I get a lump on my earlobe every now and them. They grow to about 1 cm in diameter and are usually not painful or itchy. They go away spontaneously after a couple weeks. However, I got another lump, and this time, it extended down a little below the earlobe. I lanced it and tried to squeeze it, but I couldn't get anything to come out.
549506 tn?1214830833 It then got better, the hard lump disappeared and was good for a couple weeks. Now I my earlobe does not have a hard lump but i feel a soft squichy texture,my ear is a bit inflamated and a bit painful when it is touched. What could this be ?WHat Should i Do? Is there any home remedies?
Avatar n tn I'm a 24 year old female-A couple of months ago I woke up with a painful pea to marble sized lump under the skin on my ear. It is located right where my ear connects to my head, on the bottom. Like if I were to pull my earlobe away from my head, it is in that "flap" of skin. Because it was painful and hard, I assumed it was a boil as I have had these in the past.
Avatar f tn As of today, the pain and swelling has gone down somewhat. It feels like a firm lump right where my earlobe connects with my head and the skin on and around it has become very scaly and itchy. I'd love some insight as to what this could be and whether it's worth making a doctor's appointment for. Thank you!
Avatar f tn Yeah, I don't think that's it because I don't have any other symptoms and also with Lyme disease it is a purplish lump and what I have isn't a lump at all - it is completely flat. Thanks though.
Avatar n tn It sounds like your lymphnodes may be swollen and anything can cause that. Allergies (this always happens to me) water in the ear, infection anywhere in the body, big or small. Someone asked the same question for their daughter on another form (strangly using the exact same words as you did). You can go here. http://www.medhelp.
459111 tn?1250038308 He said it would be rare to get a cancer there well very rare. I do trust my doctor as he is fantastic. I have booked hubby in for ultrasound, but in the mean time we are still really worried. Could you please give us some information regarding lumps in this area. its not on the mastoid bone or partiod gland. its directly up under the ear in the crease near the start of the jaw. in that soft bit. Thanks heaps waiting for your reply.
Avatar n tn I noticed a couple days ago this very hard, pea sized lump on the bottom of my ear (where people generally get their ears pierces). It's painful to touch and all I can see on the surface is a little purple dot. Doesn't itch or sting, I had my ear pierced when I was a kid but it's long since healed up, the lump isn't even near the piercing spot.. I'm debating on whether to go to the doctors or not, any idea on what it might be?
Avatar m tn m still not entirely sure if that has anything to do with the cysts in my ears. But basically, my armpit was sore for a day or two. Then the lumps basically disappeared. It might be a good idea to note that I have had a rash under my armpits for a couple of weeks now and when I was scratching my armpits very heavily, I noticed a lump came up (this was before the work-out incident), but it went away as soon as my doctor gave me medicine for the rash.
Avatar m tn A few hours ago I woke up from a nap, and noticed a lump on the right side of my head. It is a little above where my earlobe ends, and is about a quarter of and inch back. It feels very hard, and doesn't seem to move around if i try to push it in any direction. It so hard that I first thought it was my bone popping outwards. It really doesn't feel like its on my skin but almost like its attached to bone? It doesn't hurt by itself, but if i do press on it I experience some pain.
Avatar n tn Episodes may be triggered with simple actions like chewing or drinking, coughing, sneezing and even turning the neck rapidly in a single direction” or touching an earlobe. The cause is unknown but may be associated with migraine headaches, joint dysfunction, and prolonged periods of stress or anxiety. One study suggests it is related to activation of the trigeminal-autonomic reflex. If it persists, have this evaluated further by a neurologist. Take care and do keep us posted.
Avatar n tn Okay, so for years I've had this hard ball INSIDE my earlobe. One time I punctured the skin with a needle (more than a year ago), and pus and blood came pouring out. Interesting note, the pus had a very pungent, almost ammonia-like odor. My ear was absolutely deflated for awhile, and I was happy. Since then, the ball of pus has grown back. I finally built up the nerve to poke it again. Couldn't go deep enough. Just made it bigger and painful. What is it?
Avatar n tn I remember checking the condom for signs of breakage, and I am sure that it did not break. About a week ago, I noticed a somewhat painful lump under my left armpit. It was tender and slightly painful to the touch, and was about the size of a pea. Throughout the course of last week until today, two more similar lumps developed under my left armpit area. In addition, I discovered today a small, but not painful, lump on the neck, about an inch below my right earlobe.
Avatar n tn Every once in a while, my ear will become red, warm and very itchy for about a day. Afterwards, a small hardened area usually on the bottom of the earlobe will appear that is itchy (but significantly less) to the touch. It is somewhat sensitive and seems to go away after awhile, maybe a week or so. This happens every several months. I have my ears pierced, and will get a small infection every so often. Any ideas?
Avatar m tn Now I have noticed a small pea sized lump on my jaw just in front of my earlobe. It is hard and semimoveable when i do move it it makes my eye twitch or sends a shock to my ear. is it possible that is what is causing my pain as I have this lump on both sides of my face. Thanks.
Avatar f tn A lump that feels warm and is present on the side of the face (underneath where the earlobe attached to my face) could be a swollen lymph node or a chronically inflamed parotid gland or a parotid abscess (localized collection of pus) or an abscess not involving the parotid gland. This may need to be drained, treated with antibiotics and you must consult a doctor immediately. Take care!
Avatar m tn I am a 20 year old male. I have a bump in my ear lobe that cannot be seen, only felt. It has been there for a few months. Recently it has gotten bigger. It doesn't hurt at all. Not sure what it could be.
Avatar f tn Just today as I took a shower and washed my body, I noticed/felt a hard small lump on the right side of my labia minora. It is about the size of a BB pallet, slightly smaller than a pea. And it feels like is inside of the skin, not on it.Also, unless I push it from the inside out, you can't really see a "white head", but when I do push it slightly a light white-ish coloration seems to be on the outer end of it.
Avatar n tn s painful to yawn and to fully open my mouth. There is now a small bump located directly under my ear, behind my earlobe on my neck inbetween my jaw line and the large muscle on the right side of my neck, that little soft spot or pocket inbetween the skull and jaw.... The pain is moving into my ear and causing me to have headaches all through the day all on the right side of my head. Any ideas what this could be from? Is it worth going to the doctor for or should it go away?
Avatar n tn and the lump is still behind my ear and im restless im afraid it will infect my inner ear although the lump is behind my outer earlobe. im afraid the puss might move in to my inner ear and start infecting.... i wanted to poke with needle but im thinkin twice. should i still poke it or i let it be it still looks big but not as big as it was...whenever i try to squeeze it seems to run in my skin and i cant feel much of it....
Avatar f tn A little over 2 months ago I noticed that I had a bump directly below my left earlobe. I assume its a lymph node. However, It has remained swollen and is often bigger in the morning when I wake up. I also have been getting headaches often, and only on one side of my head, the same side and the swollen lymph node. I went to the doctor and she suggested I get and ultrasound of it. What is she looking for in the ultrasound? Are my headaches related to the lymph node?
Avatar n tn Today i noticed that my ear was sore, and found a lump in my earlobe, it hurts when i touch it and appears to be turning a bit purple, i also noticed the lymph node on my throat is swollen.. any ideas as to what it may be?
Avatar n tn So I'm 16 years old and I've had this problem since I was in 8th grade. Basically, my hearing started to randomly become muffled. It lasted like maybe an hour and then it would go back to normal. This also happened in only one ear. Now, it's both of my ears and one goes in and out at a time. Right now it's my left ear and it sounds like someone shoved cotton down my ear canal. Whenever I bite down on something, my hearing in my left ear worsens.
