Hi, I can surely understand how stressful it must be for you to have discovered a lump in your axilla area,after your last bout with lung cancer.Of course I cannot tell you not to worry,but please keep in mind that there are many causes of underarm lumps, and the vast majority are not harmful.This could be a sebaceous cyst, a lipoma (fatty tumor), a cyst etc..

I have had a lot of pain in the left side of my neck and jaw, with a lump above my left side of collar bone. Pain started over 2weeks ago. But as i was waiting for my breast biopys results, doctor couldnt do anything but give me pain killers and wasnt that intrested in the lump. My breast biopys came back fine. So now i have to go back and doctor again to sort out the pain ive got. I had a ctscan in Febuary to find out how much damge ive got to my kidney due to kidney stone.

Now 4ish months later two lumps have appeared one in throat and one on lung,we will get biopsy results this thursday,mean while doc has indicated that chances are lump in throat is recurrence of the cancer but lung could poss be infection and has had mum on 1 wks antibiotics to see if it clears. Wot are the chances of this being a simple lung infection? because if im right in my thinking doesnt emphasemia and lung cancer produce identical symptoms?

I was born with truncas arteriosis and have had three open heart surgeries to replace my valve. I have alot of pain and soreness in my chest bone here lately. its always been pretty sensitive, but i have lost some weight and the bones are a little more noticble and hav ebecame sore. especially on my left side at the top right above my breast. my dr actually had me go for a breat ultrasound to make sure it wasnt a lump and it wasnt.

Of course lung cancer could cause such symptoms as diffuculties breathing but in order for it to cause such pressure on the lung or muscles of the lung it needs to have grown quite a bit. A lump of that size would of course be noticed on a X-ray. An other reason is that I myself had problems like this five years ago and the doctors then said its due to anxiety but i didn't really buy it. I just think that I focus too much on it. I have been diagnosed with a small hydrocele in my left testicle and a Reticulonodular density in the lower left lobe of my lung. My groin and left tesricle hurt when i either move too fast or any activities such as running or longboarding. also My chest has crushing pains all day , my abdomen , into my sides and back as well. I've lost about 12 pounds . And I lost my appetite for the most part. I feel like there could be something more seriously wrong than just their diagnosis.

I wake up 3 and 4 times per night gasping for air. It also feels like I have a lump of phlem in my throat when I swallow. PFT test have shown abnormal twice for mild restriction. Doctors have since did CT Scan/ultrasound/stress test/ arterial blood test. All came back normal. Any ideas on what is causing this restriction or further testing that I could have done.

Before she ever did the mastectomy, chemo or radiation the hospital examined her thouroughly and found another lump in her other breast, some small spots on her lungs and a small spot on her liver. The lump was biopsied which came back negative and the lung and liver spots were too small to do anything with at the time (1mm).

They detected a small lump deep inside his lung and a lesion around 2cm on his liver. We are very scared that this is Liver Metastases. He shows no signs of symptoms of being unwell. He hasn't lost any weight and is carrying on doing everything he normally does. The Dr's said they cannot biopsy the lump in the lung as it is too deep, and they do not want to biopsy the liver just yet. They have also told us that the lump on his liver IS NOT a hemangioma.

My question is what do you think this may be, is the pain in the chest related to the lump feeling in throat and what about the nodules? I know the cat scan and further testing is needed but until I can get insurance or some sort of assistance I would like some sort of direction.

I learned that throat cancer can cause lump in throats feeling and stuff and I do feel that sometimes and I feel like my throat is tight sometimes too, however I suffer from anxiety disorder and tight throat, lump in throat sensations are part of the symptoms. Also, I notice that if I eat spicy or deep fried food, or sing for a long time, my throats will hurt a bit and there will be some red dots, and when I sing I notice that I can't reach some high notes that I used to be able to sing.

Well, my reason for the er visit was the feeling that I was getting enough air. Like my right lung was not working like the left. The lump behind my right clavicle (collar bone) was something else, apparently. I was given a breathing treatment. the doc was waiting for a second opinion from another doc when they had an abulance come with a really bad car accident victim. So I was just given my paperwork instructing me to see the general srgn then released.

Hi, The CT scan is evaluated using multiple “slices”. To prove that there is a lump, the lump would be seen in more than a single film. The neck CT only has partial images of the lung (involving only the lung near the neck) hence a full CT would be better able to detect abnormalities as anything suspicious could be followed thorugh with contiguous plates or slices.

m a bit nervous to say the least as my mother has cancer (brain, lung) and has a very high incidence of it in her family (brain, lung/brain, pancreatic, colon and my sister had thyroid cancer). I wont see the surgeon for the thyroid nodule until Nov. 4th. I plan to show him the lump to see what he thinks it could be. In the meantime I'm worried about this lump being a lymph node and not from my cervical disk issue. Am I sounding like a hypochondriac?

You should see a surgeon who is experienced with cancer. The lump isn't necessarily cancer, but there are all sorts of cancer possibilities. For example, this could be Hodgkins Disease or a metastatic deposit from a primary tumor somewhere else in the body such as the lung. Don't forget that males can have breast cancer too. Have there been any changes in your left nipple? If so, breast cancer should certainly be ruled out.

I would like to know if you think this is a bowel thing or a stomach thing. I am aware that it looks like an air pocket, but keep in mind that this lump has been there for 11 months and I have not been constipated or have been "backed up" for 11 months. Why whatever it is, would it be there for so long. And why is the lump getting bigger? It is hard to touch and does not feel like air or fluid.

t expect was the PET scan results which showed multiple very tiny nodules in both his lungs.Which led to a interventional lung biopsy today, to get a piece of one of the tiny nodules to test it. Doctor says that if they can't determine what type of cancer, then just go with the agressivie treatment of chemo, which I immediately said "absolutely not". If it isn't definitive why put him through chemo, when we still don't know what the nodules are.

Im 23 years old and i've had a lump on the right side of my neck 4 about 4 months & its been getting bigger in size it ives me reali bad headaches & stabbing pains where the lump is located. The dr. sent me 4 a brain scan and nothing. So he sent me 2 a specialist & hes sendin me 4 a targeted ultrasound. But im so scared because cancer runs in my family. An FNAC from the lump can to one to assess its nature. A lump in the armpit can occurs due to various causes. The most common cause is an enlargement of the lymph nodes. All the best and God Bless!

Unless those family members are Physicians I would follow the recommendation to do a follow-up in 6 months. I see no reason to suspect that the lump is something other than noted by the Radiologist who viewed your films. Having the 6 months follow-up IS being cautious ... routine mamograms are done yearly. At my follow-up with my GP today, he asked if they discussed the abnormalities in my CT scan. It seems there is a lump in my left breast. My gp has ordered a mamo, ultrasound and mri. I am 50 years old and my last mamo was 13 months ago. How worried should I be?

my daughter did that when she was young never said anything.. she developed a lump on her collarbone and I took her in and too it was not painful.. they xrayed it and it was new bone growing where the fracture was. so hmmmm maybe this is your case. I wish you good luck!!!!!
