I hurt my leg running in softball a few months back, and about a month ago I noticed a lump in my thigh (quad) in the area that I hurt. I've tried to massage it out, but it's still there. Last week I noticed that if I prop the ankle of that leg up on my opposite knee (almost like cross-legged) when I'm seated in a chair, I feel soreness in my knee that can kind of reverberate up into my hip area.

Hi there, I'm hoping someone can help. Last night I inadvertently touched my right ankle joint and noticed a small, hard, bony lump near to it. It isn't tender when I touch it but it's making my foot feel fizzy and has created muscle spasms in other parts of my foot. I haven't injured the area, the foot hasn't swollen or become red and there is a slight dent in the skin between the lump and the ankle joint itself. Should I see a doctor about this?

The left side of my tongue went numb as the double vision was coming on, I threw up terriblely. Ever since then I feel like I have a lump in my throat all the time. It has been there so long that it is really starting to brother me. Also, the right side of my body is numb....face, all the way to foot. The left side of my tongue is still numb, like when you have been to the dentist and he has given you a shot of novacaine. HELP!!!

hi there my problem is my feet my left foot hurts when i walk it hurts on the bone leading from my big toe my other foot my right foot also hurts when i walk but it hurts at the top of my foot near my ankle when i twist my foot slightly there is a lump also when i move my right foot round in a circle it also clicks what do you think this is and could it be linked to marfans as it runs in the family

Both my feet recently swell up, but the lump is only on my right foot. Since cancer is in my family history I got concerned. Reading your posts makes me feel less worried. Thank you for sharing. And yes, you aren't alone.

I have a lump in my breast..i am 23 ( i believe it may be a cyst or an hormornal imbalance b/c its movable and hurts or feels tender around my period) im going to the doctor soon to get checked out but also on the same side as the lump on my breast i feel a prickly feeling in my back(sometimes i feel a bit of tightness)..can this be due to the lump? what could this be?

Noticed a raised, black in color, " insect looking bite" on top of my foot yesterday evening. It has a hole in the center, it doesn't itch & only hurts a little when I push on it. Just a little concerned because I haven't ever seen anything even simlilar. Any ideas?

The knot is prominent when in kneeling position or flexed foot. I also experience horrible burning pain in the left calf if I walk over a certain speed. I have been taking some pain medicine and a nitric oxide 25 minutes before walking and have been able to sustain 40 minute walks but only 3.0 speed. (Averages 2 miles in 30 which is way below my goal) I'm going to continue to stay slow and build slowly.. I don't wanna give up.

Hello, I wrote in a question recently about a hard pea sized lump on top of my foot. I appreciate the answers I received and now I have another one. The lump is hard like bone and is not painful. It is located on the outside edge between my little toe and ankle. It may have been there awhile and I have just noticed it or it could be a new occurance. I went to my family physician today and he ordered an x-ray. The lump also does not move. The x-ray did not show anything.

I got a toothpick stuck in my foot. Soaking in warm Epsom salt water right away. WIll it help for the broken part to expose to get out sooner with out infection?

About 8 days ago I noticed a lump on the top of my foot, right on top of one of the tendons that run from the ankle to the toes. The lump was pretty hard, but had a slight amount of give to it (when pressed). It was also slightly movable.

it seems to be in the Extensor Hallucis Brevis area and there is a squashy lump the size of a smallish coin in that area, which isn't really painful to touch. If I loosen my laces in that area I can walk and do a bit of running without too much discomfort. But should I continue to rest until the lump has gone, or carry on running?

I have a large painless lump in front of my ear. It has been there almost 10 years and has not gave me any problems. It is a very hard lump and about the size of a large marble. It has gotten larger in the last 2 years. I have no insurance and when i did go to the dr a couple years ago they said it was a partiod gland and if it didn't hurt than to just leave it be. After all was healed there is still a bump in front of my heel in the arch of my foot where I landed and it hurts to stand on for periods of time and to put little pressure on. What is it? Why is it still there? Will it ever go away so I don't have to worry about pain every Tim I land slightly wrong? It won't massage out either. I am 15 about to be 16.

I have had numbness in toes in my left foot. I have had an EMG - negative, cholestrol is within range, and glucose is fine. All my other blood tests are fine. There is no tingling. Any advice on direction to persue? The numbness is spreading, very slowly. It is not in the big toe but the second and fourth toes.

I have twisted the ankle a couple of times in a certain pair of flip flops I have. When I push in on the lump, it is kind of firm and feels "boney." I seen a dermatologist about it, but she said it felt "boney" and not of the skin. She felt it was a little small to be a ganglion cyst, but really didn't know what it was. She suggested seeing a PCP or orthopedic doctor. I really don't know what kind of doctor I should start with.

Recently, I have also developed a tingling sensation in my left foot. Not sure if these two are related or not. I had a pelvic MRI 17 months ago for a lump in my left pelvis, which turned out to be nothing. Would the MRI have picked up anything serious in the hip area? Hi, For longer than I can remember, the pinkie toe on my left foot has been numb, sometimes it hurts to touch it. Lately, often, but not always, it feels like there is a lump on the bottom of my foot when I walk. It's towards the outside of the left foot.
