Hello all. I've had a lump in my elbow crease for a very long time now (years). Sometimes there is no pain at all but sometimes the pain is quite sharp. I'm guessing that's because it might be pushing down on some nerves in my arm. Every doctor that I've gone to tells me it's not a big deal and I shouldn't worry about it. Lately it's been bothering me more often than not. Sometimes when I wake up and extend my arm it is quite painful.
Around the beginning of Summer, I noticed some type of lump/swelling on my inner elbow, right above the crease on the side closest to my body with palm facing up. My doctor said that it must be a hematoma and that I might have bumped it without noticing. After a several months, the swelling decreased and nearly disappeared, but it has recently come back. There is no discoloration and no lump can be felt beneath the skin when my arm is bent.
I also have noticed a lump under my skin on my forearm about 3 inches below where the crease in my elbow bends a little to the left. It only is sore when I push on it to find it to show my husband that it is a little bigger than last time. I am planning to make an appt. with the doctor. Should I make it with my family doctor or a specialist of some kind? What cold this be?
The hematologist monitored regularly through blood tests and physical exam. Over a few months, elbow lump went away, but a new lump appeared on the salivary gland. The swelling was quite noticeable. Biopsy of node in this area and a bone marrow test confirmed diagnosis on slow growing Non Hodgkin Lymphoma. I gather that hematologists will often watch and wait using fewer tests until clear sign cancer is present or progressing before beginning active surveillance to confirm.
So I am a 22 year old female and about 6 weeks ago, I noticed a small and swollen bump forming on the inside of my elbow crease. Sometimes it feels bigger and sometimes less so. It especially feels smaller and less swollen in the morning after I have rested.Today I noticed the whole inside of my elbow was so inflamed that it didn't even feel like a lump anymore. Today I also noticed that in the exact same place on my left arm, the same thing seems to be forming.
I was lying on my right side when suddenly I felt a sharp pain (that lasted just a second) in my right elbow pit/elbow crease. I looked down and my median cubical vein is a tad more blue and dominant than normal. There is also a sligh tenderness to the area when I run my finger over it, so I've just stopped touching it. Not sure what the issue is. Do you think I just slept on it funny?
I went to an orthopedic clinic and the doctor listened to my complaint and my suspicion that it is in fact tennis elbow, and then said, yes, you have tennis elbow. He showed me some exercises, recommended hot packs, and sent me on my way. He never once touched my arm or ask me to move it in any certain way. He prescribed tylenol. On the tendon (?) or something just above my elbow towards the elbow pit, I can feel something like a fatty lump and it is the source of all the pain.
About a month ago I noticed my left bicep felt strange down towards the crease of my elbow...kind of weak/sore...almost like there was a knot in it. I hadn't done any exercising...just my usual daily routine. My arm started twitching a lot. Immediately I was terrified I had some crazy disease. I had an EMG/NCV and all came back normal. All my blood work looks normal too. My arm still feels strange though. It just feels weak/shaky, but no actual clinical weakness.
I am a eczema sufferer from childhood behind my knees and crease of elbow and back of elbow. Now as a adult I only have in on my right elbow crease and behind. But for the past 11 years I have had a small rash on my buttocks as well right in the crease. It normally begins to itch once I get hot there from sitting or waiting to use the bathroom (end up slightly sweating) something. I was told from the dermatologist that it is eczema and that you can get it there.
Hi all, this is the first time iv posted, over a year ago I started having severe tiredness (put it down to being working mother with 4 kids) about a month later started having severe intermittent shoulder, like a burning sensation, then shortly after started having really severe itching on the my legs and back of my head, doc sent me for chest and shoulder X-rays, everything normal, he then referred me to a consultant at the hospital, while waiting for the appointment I started to develop pains
On my right arm, right above the crease on the inner side is some swelling, my elbow was very painful for a while straighting it out but that got a little better. The outer side of my arm close to elbow and down to hand hurts if I try to lift something heavy or grasp something heavy. This started about 4 to 5 weeks ago and the swelling will go down a little until I use that arm a lot.
see i have this two lumps on the inside of my inner elbow area(both arms) in the same place, they do not hurt to touch, or are swollen itchy or anything like that. i have had them for the past couple years, they have not grown or anything like that. i am just wondering on what they could be? i also have them in the same spot in my upper arms(both)
there is a history of arthrtis in my family....wondering if i could be getting something along those lines?
My 16-year-old daughter is experiencing complete numbness in both arms, from the elbow crease to the finger tips. This has been ongoing since August, 2009 (the last time she remembers feeling anything), though she had intermittent pain in the arms for two years prior to the onset of the numbness. The symptoms have progressed slightly during this time to move further up the arms, and have started causing problems with writing in school, mainly because she cannot feel the pencil.
t bad but after a day, OMG, it hurt so bad. With my second, I made them put it in my elbow crease.
Forgot to mention ... There is no redness around or on the lump. Also, the lump isn't directly on the elbow (where the elbow bends). It is, how can I explain this, if you were sitting down at a table and have your arms on the table bent in front of you in the upright position. The lump is right above where the elbow bends on the front of the arm.
