Hi, for the last three months I have been feeling dizzy, so i went to the doctor and was told I have vertigo, and that it will come and go. I went again to the doctor yesterday as my ears have been itchy, he told me I have mild excema in the ear, I've also had cracking slightly in the ear. Then last night while washing my face I noticed a small marble size lump near my ear and jaw. It doesn't hurt but isn't normal. Any ideas. The doctor didn't pick this up.
Thanx for your comment. I am seeing a vet on Tuesday, and it can't come quick enough. Lilly has had this lump for a couple of months but as it didnt bother her first vet told me too leave it, which thanks to your advice and research starting point this is advice given.
Yes, stopping the drug use will absolute prevent further damage so of course that is #1. In addition, you need to deal with this lump as you would any lump, investigate it further to rule out cancer. You are not a doctor, and because it feels like something that you once had in your earlobes and you read an article, does not qualify as a diagnosis. Please see an Ear Nose and Throat doctor, ENT, to have this examined and help to correct/prevent damage and to rule out any funny stuff.
d call your doctor. This is outside your ear and not in? Ear drums will do that if they burst which can happen after a bad ear infection. But since it is outside, that is a bit different. I would generally put any topical antibiotic you have on it but would verify with your doctor. give them a call and they should answer you over the phone.
I have a lump in my ear and it hurts when I touch it and other than that nothing goes on and I have one In my cartlidge and on my other ear the upper part of my ear canal I've heard that if I get a sewing needle and pop it and put alcohol it should heel but nothing comes out of it it's just there I haven't gone to a doctor so what should I do it hurts by its self sometimes

I have this lump in my neck about 2-3 years behind my jaw bone and under my ear ..I brought to my gp years ago n he said probly a cyst never gave me any trouble ....but now ...I was admitted to hospital a few weeks back in horrific pain in my jaw n felt like this lump was exploding in my neck ...no amount of pain relief would take it away I was practically unconscious from all of it ...anyways pain has subsided but still there ...
Recently I noticed that I have a small lump on my cheek just in front of my ear. It is only on my right side and it is a little sensitive if I press on it. I don't know if it related but in case it is I thought I'd better mention it.

I have had a painless lump in my neck for several years. It is on the left side in the same area where my lymph nodes typically swell up when I have a cold. It is behind the upper part of my jaw, below my ear. It is hard, painless (unless I press it rather hard), immovable and about an inch in size. I have had two doctors who have been aware of it, but dismissed it. The first one put me on antibiotics to make it go down, but they did not do anything.

hsv in the ear i know it sounds crazy but i used to get dry itching ears otitis externa then i got otitis media middle ear infection, about 2 yrs ago i was diagnosed with having hsv2 and i belive i cross infected this virus into my ear, as i used to dampen cotton buds with saliva and place in my ear to take itching away.

Neck lymph nodes can be the result of tonsillitis, pharyngitis (infection of upper throat), infection in mouth, caries in tooth, internal ear infection, outer ear infection, eczema, dermatitis, dandruff, breast cancer, fungal infection, other cancers like lymphoma etc. If you had flu like symptoms initially then it could be due to infectious mononucleosis too.

I have a small lump a few inches below my right ear, I've had it for about 4 years? I've had headaches or neck aches causing headache like pains, though usually it's a slow thumping/pulsating type pain it can last for hours up to a few days. The pain tends to be around the lump and near my right temple as well as the bridge of my nose to the right. There also tends to be pain in the back of my head towards the right, shocker.
I have severe pain in my jaw and it is difficult to close my mouth without tension/pain. It sends stabbing pain both in my jaw and ear at night. I also have a lump on the jaw joint near my ear!!! A few weeks ago I found a hard mass/lump in my lower back on the left side and a smaller lump on the right side. It has been causing pain relating to lower back pain (stiffness, pain "slouching", pain straightening my back). This lump seems to feel approx. 1 - 1.5 inches on the left and a .5 inch on the right.
On a side note, the past few weeks (starting a 2 weeks before noticing this back lump) I have had a sore area in my throat (not a sore throat!
i have this lump behind my ear for about two years now and it won't go away.
What was most promising about this is that the doctor i had worked in an oncology department and had actually studied cancers under the microscope and told me if it was cancer and it had been there 4 years regardless of it being slow growing or not it would have still grown in 4 years and that in 4 years she feels it would have erroded bone around the surrounding area and there would have been elevated calcium levels in my blood which wasnt the case so there you have it, i havent had any scans(

I recently noticed a swollen lump in the right side of my neck about 2 inches below my ear. Saw a doctor, she said it was probably due to some infection...gave me antibiotics and said take these and see if it goes away. I have no symptoms of any infection. It's been 2 weeks and the lump is still there. I only have two other issues...one I salivate A LOT. 2...I am having a terrible problem with facial flushing. Any ideas on what it could be?
