Common Questions and Answers about Lump in breast of adolescent boy

lump

Avatar m tn There are five stages of the changes that occur during puberty, called Tanner stages or Sexual Maturity Rating (SMR) stages. Breast lumps in boys are common during SMR 3 and SMR 4. The firm lump may occur under only one nipple, under both nipples, or under the two at different rates or sizes. The lumps are often tender when they are growing the fastest. In at least 90% of kids, these will go away on their own.
Avatar m tn Hi I'm 18 years old male with no significant medical history to speak of. A few weeks ago in the shower i noticed that my left nipple was extremely sore to the touch and upon further examination I discovered a small lump underneath the nipple slightly left of center. It didn't have a distinct shape or anything.
Avatar n tn i found a hard painfull lump in my breast 2day.its in the side of my left breast and it feels like the lump is inside my breast.
Avatar n tn I am 20 years old and have had an ultrasound about 5 years ago which determined I have a non-cancerous lump in my left breast. I will admit I used to try and pump small bits of milk out of it when I was younger out of curiosity (very rarely), and little to nothing would come out. Maybe the lump is a result of this? Today it feels like I have 2 cysts instead of just one, I'm looking into having another ultrasound when I can finally afford it... What is inside a cyst?
Avatar f tn I'm 19 weeks pregnant and found a lump in my breast.. It's about the size of a bb and really hard had husband feel and he says he can feel it move a little but I can't it feels very fixed to one spot! Any other pregnant moms have this! I'm so scared!
Avatar f tn On the other hand, if the lump is very large then a FNAC could have missed something that in other parts of the lump that the needle didn't penetrate. I would probably trust my doctor and his/her judgement about your lump. Maybe someone else here has a different view.
Avatar n tn Dr. Found a lump in the right breast he said that he felt that it had grown a little bit. and wanted to get it out. He also said it was moveable. I am 50 years old. Can there be cancer in the lump is that how it starts and then attaches it self.
Avatar f tn I had a lump in my right breast, then I went to a surgeon he felt the lump and drained some fluids from the lump, then told me he was going to remove it that day which was in mar 2010 now its may 2010 and the same lump is back and in the same spot. the only thing the surgeon said was the biopsy did not show cancer. so my question is how could this return again and the same spot. I am 35 years old.
Avatar n tn The pea sized lump may have been a bite and in fact it has reacted and made the rest of the area swollen, does it itch, has he been anywhere with out a shirt at athletics or similar?
Avatar f tn He says it does not hurt. He have not had any accident or fall or punch in his lump. The lump is getting bigger and now I think it moved up from the nipple like 2 or 3 mm. He has not any symptoms of early puberty. Please Im very worried, I need help.
Avatar n tn I dont want to scare you but definately go get it checked out. I had a lump under my arm, got a breast exam which there was no BREAST lump felt. Less than a year later I was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. Yours is probably NOT cancer but just to be safe dont put it off as the lump under my arm was not hard either. Cancerous breast lumps are whats hard not armpit nodes. Good luck to you I know you are fine but just go to the doc and get some peace of mind.
Avatar f tn Hi It's unlikely that the lump in your breast is cancerous. However it's really not very wise of you to have had this lump in your breast for over 3 years without having it checked out by a medical professional who could have ordered an Ultrasound and maybe more tests (if needed) and put your mind at ease. This lump could very well be a fibroadenoma (benign growth) but I urge you to see your doctor for evaluation, since no one can tell you for sure what it could be.
Avatar f tn A lump under the nipple of a young boy is most likely gynecomastia, which is common in boys around the age of puberty and is usually temporary.
Avatar m tn Hi love138, I would get that lump in your breast checked as soon as possible by your family doctor. I had a lump a number of years ago which my doctor found through a routine examination. My doctor gave me a referral to a surgeon who specialized in breast cancer surgery. Luckily, my lump turned out to be a cyst. Time is of the essence. You need to make sure the lump is benign not malignant. Don't want to scare you, but these sort of things must be seen to quickly. I wish you well.
Avatar f tn I think our names are spelt the same way... ;) anyways do the LPs hurt?...and is it just in one breast and where...
Avatar f tn I am 8 1/2 months pregnant and noticed a small hard lump in my left breast about 2 months ago (underneath my areola towards the very bottom) it almost felt like a bb, firm, immobile, and was smooth shaped. I had my OB look at it/feel it and she said that she didn't find it concerning as their are tons of changes going on with my breasts because I'm pregnant. She ordered me to have a ultrasound of it but I'm unAble to get in for 3 weeks!
900105 tn?1241939323 and I doubt that they are related. It could be the type of lump that is related to homonal levels in the body. In any event I would suggest that you make an appointment with you Dr. for a clinical breast exam and possibly an Ultrasound to determine the nature of the breast lump. Anything new or different involving the breasts should NEVER be overlooked for any reason. Regards ...
Avatar f tn I'm 21 years old, I just finished my period like a week or so ago. I've noticed that my right breast pains when I'm pressing on it. The pain can be pinpointed and it feels as if a part of the breast itself hurts. The upper outer part. I don't really feel a lump but then again I'm not quite sure because I'm not sure how a breast lump is supposed to feel like. So what this could be? I don't suffer from any other symptom. It's just the pain that's bothering me.
Avatar n tn I had a lot of close male friends in high school. In fact, my very best friend was a male. No problems on either end.
Avatar f tn i had 3-4 i-pills 3 years back and i think that can be one of the reason for such changes in the breast. i want to know whether i should have the lump removed or let it stay as it is noncancerous. i had evion for a month and after completing tlone month course, the pain disappeared. some suggest me not to have it operated but i am confused. please respond.
Avatar f tn I will be 22 in 3 weeks and I recently found a lump in my left breast above my nipple, I called my doctor and had an appointment 2 days later, he sent me to have an ultrasound done, it came back and he said my "lump" is 3.8 centimeters an something about " echo" and " float", and that there is no liquid inside my lump, my app was June 26, my doc said to keep eye on it and if it he's bigger to call him for another app before my 6 week breast check up.
Avatar f tn It is not bad, just enough for me to notice. I also noticed that there is a lump in the middle of my armpit. My L armpit does not have this. Could this just be a swollen lymph node?
Avatar m tn Risk factors for the development of male breast cancer include increased exposure to estrogen, reduced androgen, history of orchitis secondary to mumps, undescended testis, testicular injury or cirrhosis of the liver, and a family history of breast cancer. I would suggest you have yourself seen by your doctor. The tender lump you are experiencing in your areola could be caused by a localized infection or an abscess. Good luck.
Avatar f tn She also said it feels like she has padding laying on the top of her breast. Also, her breast have changed in size. Her right breast ( the side with the lump ) looks as if it has shrunk. It is atleast a size and a half smaller. I noticed right away. I am a very protective husband. I guess what I am wanting to know is, should I be concerned?
Avatar n tn The most obvious symptom in males would be a palpable or visible lump in the breast tissue. As a rule male breast cancer appears in the later years but anything is possible. If you have noticed a lump (no matter how small) please make an appointment with preferably a Breast Specialist for an exam and possible Mammogram. Regards ...
Avatar m tn Im 23 and I have a lump in my breast and its been there for over 3 years. Its been the same size but sometimes it seems like it shrinks.. It seems to be moveable and I only feel achy or dullness in the spot where the lump is or where it moves. Around when my period starts it seems to become worse but lessens when my period is over. The lump seems to have a ridge like texture I dont know can this be a cyst? Im scared to get it checked out (im a worry wart indeed) but i know i have too .
