I am also breastfeeding and noticed a small pea size lump under my right armpit...do u think it is a cause of concern or probably a milk gland?
I woke up this morning and my armpit was swollen and i have a lump there. This has happened before and i always goes away. It is sore. I am really scared and i am unsure of what to do. I work a demanding job as a police officer and it is impossible to get into a dr for a few days. It hurts into the right side of my neck. That is the same arm that is swollen.

Hi, I'm not sure if I'am in the right place or not. I'am 26 years old I have had this lump in my left armpit for many years. I canno't see the lump (not like a pimple or ingrown hair), it is under the skin. You can only know there is a lump if you feel the area. The left armpit is also larger than the right, I'm guessing from the lump inside. (when you wear a bra..the fat that tends to stick out at the corner of your armpit..the left it sticks out a lot more).

Aside the possibility that this lump could be a cyst or a fibroadenomas, this could also be a blocked milk duct which happens quite frequently when breast-feeding.There are milk ducts that go up near the armpit.
Try nursing first from the breast with the lump, apply warm compresses before nursing and massaging in the direction of your nipple and see if the lump goes away after a few days.
I had the mammogram and the tech asked if I had any symptoms and I told her about the lump in my armpit. She said she would try to get it in the mammogram. After the radiologist read my mammogram he asked that I come back for another mammogram and ultrasound to look a little close at my left breast. While I was with the ultra sound tech I told her about the lump in my left armpit.
I have a 14 year old daughter. Two days ago she said she had a lump in her right armpit and that it was tender. You could not see it and you could barely feel it. Last night she said the right armpit did not hurt anymore but her left one does. I can definately see this lump and feel it also. I read on the internet it could be hormones, cysts, etc.... Should I give it a day or two to see if it goes down or, God forbid gets bigger, go to the doctor now?
A little over a month ago, a lump started growing in my left armpit. It was hot, tender, painful, and eventually about the width of a quarter. About a week later, it started decreasing in size, until it shrunk to about the size of a dime. By then it was no longer hot or painful, barely noticeable. Then at about 3 weeks it began growing again, not painful, but noticeably larger. After a few days, it started shrinking again. As of right now, it is currently increasing in size, but not extremely.
I am 24 years old male and I have a lump type swelling near my armpit. Not exactly armpit, but like 4 fingers below the armpit and its on the back side of the body. I found it when i was watching a movie on my laptop lying down. I felt pain and when I touched there I found it. At frst I thought its muscle cramp or something. So I stretched my hands forcefully, and it went away. Later it come back again within hours. I did the stretching again. It was going away. But one time it didnt went..
I have a lump in my armpit and I don't really know what it is or where is came from. I went to my doctor and he said that it was just a lump and it would go away in a few days. That was 3 weeks ago. It is still here. I don't know what to do but I hope you people can help me out just a bit.

Hi i'm 21 years old overweight woman. I've been having a lump in my right armpit and it really hurts. The first time i found it was months ago and that time it burst and kinda gone but sometimes it would appear again in my armpit (but not on the same spot), sometimes in my left armpit. I've been using ichthyol cream and doesn't seem to make it all gone.
as for my breasts, I never felt any pain on my breast or find a lump.
should i be worried?

About 2 years ago I noticed a lumpy thickening in my left armpit as well as a large grainy lump on my neck on the right side. I was actually more afraid about the lump on my neck than with my armpit, mainly because I've suffered from swollen lymph nodes on and off my whole life (asthma as well as allergies) so I figured my armpit was more or less related to that.
The lump under my armpit is 3" long by 1" wide. It does not hurt when I press and freely move my hand around the lump and it is not hard. I had a CT scan done this past Thursday and will meet with my doctor to see the results on Monday. My doctor will also have me do an MRI scan before he does a biopsy. I noticed yesterday another lump is beginning to form on my other armpit.

Hi. I'm 14 years old... and this lump under my right armpit is bothering me. It's painful that's why I searched some home remedies. I tried hot compress. It worked... after 1 week, the pain is gone but I'm curious why my lump doesn't go away. Right now, the lump is smaller and I can barely feel it. but when I take a bath, I can feel that there's still a lump. It's been 2 weeks since it first appeared but it still doesn't go away.
Thanks vance..but in my life never had armpit pain..usually people have fever,diarrhea,sore throat..that and all common illness, which i might not had scared.but this is new to me.even after taking pills for the last 2 months, it did'nt goes away..will all the condoms in india are good enough to protect from hiv and other STI's, i wonder.feeling very nervous.
Found a lump in armpit pea sized dosen't hurt. But right breast has been feeling tender should I be worried I am only 16.
The most prevalent cause of a lump in the armpit is infection. An infection can be localized to the armpit itself (perhaps a nick from shaving) or it can be more widespread.. you may also have a boil or abscess just under the skin.
If it's a swollen lymph node,this could be caused by an infection somewhere in the body.
