lump behind shoulder

My 14 year oldCollie has a lump just behind her shoulder. If you go up the bone of the leg to the top of the shoulder it is just behind and follows the shoulder lengthwise about 6 cm and is about 2cm wide. she has been tender there for a while, but it is only today i found the lump when she turned a bit sharpish as I brushed her. She has not got a limp. The lump is not attached to the shoulder.

My take on this is that what ever this lump or knot is behind my ear has nothing to do w/any salivatery gland, because the lump is behind the ear and not in my mouth. As to the swelling I feel that its to the lump behind my hear that is causing my jaw muscle and neck muscle to swell, as a defense to the lump behind my ear. I am also feeling numbness in my L. side of my face, lip and arm which she said is a nuero issue.

The last few days that area also feels like it is getting a hard lump under my skin, but this lump is not sore,warm like the boil behind my ear. My right side upper shoulder/neck is also sore. When I turn my head right it is sore. I'm not really sure what this all means. Do you think I should go to the doctor?

My boyfriend developed a lump behind his right ear that hurts when touched. It recently began to swell and gave him nerve pain that shot down his neck and shoulder, he also experienced a headache from this on the right side if his head. We went to the emergency room (no insurance so no one else would see him) and the physician's asst. touched his neck and told him it was a cyst. She referred him to an ear, nose and throat doctor.

I went in for an MRI and it shows a white lump on the back of my neck behind my spine. my brother has a lump behind his right ear which sometimes throbs its were his skull meets the ear it is slightly red and inflamed and sore to touch,any help or advice would be gratefull

i m having a lump behind my right ear since 14 months.in the starting it never hurts,but recently its getting bigger and painful as well.

I've got a hard bone type lump, that's painless on my scalp, behind my ear. I've have terrible headaches on the same side too. Mostly in my temple area that radiates into my cheekbone and jaw. The skin is sore to touch as well. Feels like it's bruised. The headaches are horrendous. Facial twitching and jaw jerking. My neck feels like there's pressure on the left side (same side as lump and headache). I've got small tender lumps in both armpits.

About 8 days ago she went to the doctor with strep-throat. Now today I noticed she has a lump behind her right ear, should I be concerned? I read it could just be her body fighting the infection. Hi all anyone any ideas ? I have this lump in my neck about 2-3 years behind my jaw bone and under my ear ..I brought to my gp years ago n he said probly a cyst never gave me any trouble ....but now ...I was admitted to hospital a few weeks back in horrific pain in my jaw n felt like this lump was exploding in my neck ...no amount of pain relief would take it away I was practically unconscious from all of it ...anyways pain has subsided but still there ...

Before the lump I had heavines of arm and discomfort in shoulder and upper back shoulder same side of the lump. (I don't know if these symptoms are related to the findings).

It has now been 6 weeks and 3 days post potential exposure I have developed a slight lump behind my ear and a very mild rash across the top of my shoulder and down one arm to approximately half way down the bicep. I suffer from vitiligo and I am unsure if this rash, pink and circular in nature is the deterioration of the skin pigment . I am just curious if the test I have undergone is conclusive? I have a semi-hard lump directly behind my ear resting on the bone right behind my ear. It feels almost like cartilage. It used to be about the size of a pimple, but it just keeps getting larger. Point them out to her pediatrist at your next visit. I have a small lump behind my right ear that my doctor told me was something that made white blood cells. I've had it my whole life without any complications. Maybe its the same thing. If the lumps seem to be swelling it could be her lymph nodes swelling due to an infection of some kind.

I am a 28yr. old female. In Jan. 2007, I found a lump in my right breast. After about 2 weeks it was gone. Since that time I have had pain behind the right breast. At first the pain would come and go, now it is almost a constant. The pain will radiate up into my collar bone area and down my right arm. I will have "bad" weeks where I am very tired and not much energy along with the pain. I went to the doc Oct. 2007.

No relief what so ever, but my concern is that my collarbone feels swollen with a lump like feeling at the end of it. The lump just showed up in the midst of all this pain, and I am concerned.
