I took my son to the doctor today because earlier this week he noticed a larger than pea sized lump above his jaw on the right, a couple of inches from his chin. He doesn't really complain about it hurting unless it's touched. His doctor is sending us to a ENT on wednesday, and I am absolutely terrified. His doctor has no clue what it could be. He just kept saying it was strange.
I have recently found what feels like a lump on the back lower curve of my jaw bone. It doesnt move, is really hard, and is maybe pea sized. It actually feels like its part of the bone. I am not sure if its just a misformation and has been there all of my life, or is something new. I found it three days ago, and I don't think it has grown at all.
I have had pain in that side of my jaw, but its sort of the same pain I have had in it for the last ten years or so.
Hi, went to doc's today about lump on neck just above collar bone and another higher up on other side of neck.
Had these for a couple of months and apparently have more smaller lumps that I hadn't noticed. Doc thinks all ok and nothing sinister but feeling a bit worried anyway.
I have severe pain in my jaw and it is difficult to close my mouth without tension/pain. It sends stabbing pain both in my jaw and ear at night. I also have a lump on the jaw joint near my ear!!! I has been going on since begining of september.I wake up screaming. It is like some stabbed me with a long knitting needle after held over a flame!!!!!!

I had a root canal and several weeks later noticed a pea-sized hard lump on my lower jaw bone, directly down from the root canal. The dentist who put my crown on after the root canal, said that the lump had nothing to do with the root canal, and that I probably always had this lump. Does this sound reasonable?
I have had a lot of pain in the left side of my neck and jaw, with a lump above my left side of collar bone. Pain started over 2weeks ago. But as i was waiting for my breast biopys results, doctor couldnt do anything but give me pain killers and wasnt that intrested in the lump. My breast biopys came back fine. So now i have to go back and doctor again to sort out the pain ive got. I had a ctscan in Febuary to find out how much damge ive got to my kidney due to kidney stone.
I have a small lump near my ear right above my jaw bone. It's not visible. It doesn't hurt but when I press it I can feel it throbbing. I've had this for years and it hasn't effected me. But I'm starting to wonder if it could be something serious.
I noticed yesterday a hard lump right on my jaw bone, about half way between my ear and chin. It seems a bit like the beginning of a zit, but is very large and I am concerned it may be a tumor. It seems too large to be the beginning stage of a zit and I rarely get them. Should I be concrrned? Is there any way to tell if it is cancer? If it were cancer, would facial hair NOT grow on the bump? Any thoughts?
Last night, my husband noticed a large lump on the side of his neck just above the collar bone. It was very soft, more like fluid build-up than knotted muscle tissue. I searched online and concluded that it was most likely a lymph node, so we went to the walk-in clinic today. The nurse practitioner that saw him confirmed that his lymph nodes were swollen and did blood work for infection and when it came back with nothing, she told him he was fine and nothing was wrong.
When I touched just under my chin, seemingly attached to the right side of the chin bone, just to the right of that center line where the two sides of the lower jaw meet, I felt a very hard, immobile bump. It will not budge---I've pressed on it with all my might from each side and from straight up; it's hard as bone, but I cannot tell if it's definitely attached to the jaw/chin.
It is significantly larger than my left side. I also developed a lump between my ear and jaw. (same side) It is not something that is easily felt from the outside by others. However, I can feel it and move it around. It hurts to do so though. After six months of on and off again low grade fevers of 99-100 degrees (my normal temp is 97.8 - 98) I went to a walk in clinic. The doctor ran a blood test on me and determined that my blood work was fine. they thought I was okay.
On the left side of my neck (from the jaw bone to the center, between collar & jaw bones) I have a lump 2" x 3". Very hard , oval in shape. You can see it is under the skin & is easy to see , It is "big". "Should I try to "lance/drain it"???
About 1 year ago I had a pea-sized lump on my right jaw. My mum took me to the doctors and they said it was nothing to worry about. After a couple of months, it grew a bit more so we went back. Again, they told me I had nothing to worry about. Now, the lump is a bit bigger than a marble size and I am worrying a lot. I have also been having jaw pain. Sometimes I can't even swallow properly. I'm really scared. What should I do?
Hi all anyone any ideas ? I have this lump in my neck about 2-3 years behind my jaw bone and under my ear ..I brought to my gp years ago n he said probly a cyst never gave me any trouble ....but now ...I was admitted to hospital a few weeks back in horrific pain in my jaw n felt like this lump was exploding in my neck ...no amount of pain relief would take it away I was practically unconscious from all of it ...anyways pain has subsided but still there ...

dont really know where this would go , but anyway iv found a lump on the side of my face you cant see it but can defo feel it and it hurts abit wen i do touch it , its just under where my ear joins to my jaw , i dont know whether its a bone thats come loose but it just rolls round abit , i can eat fine etc just have no idea what it is !!!

Had root canal last Thurs and by Sat I was in extreme pain and with swelling to lower jaw & lump on inside of cheek & gums. I was given Amox. I have been taking Amox for 3 days & NSAID. Get HA, tired/dizzy off/on. Endodontist saw me today told me the lump was actually bone swelling not soft tissue but not to worry. Has anyone heard about this condition? Is it due to too much injected anesthesia or is it an immune response or the infection? Please advise thank you.
I have a hard knot/lump on my lower right jaw bone behind my wisdom tooth which is still there. I noticed it yesterday and it makes it hard to close my mouth or eat on that side and it's painful. I just wanted to know if anyone might know what it could be. I have jaw pain from time to time which makes my wisdom tooth ache because I have TMJ, so my doctor told me last year. If anyone has any ideas let me know.
I have just found a lump on my lower jaw, underneath my ear right at the jaw joint. It is approximately the size of half of a grape. It definitely feels attached to my jaw feels like s grape- not too hard or soft. It is slightly uncomfortable when felt. Any ideas of what this might be? I am going to go ahead see an ENT- but I have month and a half before I could get in. Just a little concerned. Thank you for any help!
