lump above chin

The lump next to the chin would not usually be looked at during a thyroid ultrasound (unless done by a physician specializing in neck ultrasound) -- the thyroid measurements are normal (perhaps in the upper end of normal) but this does not explain the lump. Would see an ENT about the lump next to your chin. It may be a thyroglossal duct cyst (relatd to thyroid but much higher in the neck than the usual thyroid position).

I took my son to the doctor today because earlier this week he noticed a larger than pea sized lump above his jaw on the right, a couple of inches from his chin. He doesn't really complain about it hurting unless it's touched. His doctor is sending us to a ENT on wednesday, and I am absolutely terrified. His doctor has no clue what it could be. He just kept saying it was strange.

While putting lotion on my neck, I feel a tender lump directly under my chin. It is clearly above the thyroid. I wouldn't even consider it's location as being on my "neck". It is right under my chin before my neck/throat area begins. Please help!

Hello. I am a 15 year old male and I am very concerned right now. About a month and a half ago, i noticed a lump under my chin and above my adam's apple. I was concerned so I went to my doctor. He explained the whole thing about how lymph nodes work and stuff. He also said it doesn't have characteristics that should be a concern. It was not rough, it was pea sized, and round. He said it should go down in about 2 weeks.

One is across from my chin and jawline area. The other one is almost touching the outside of my eyelids to my eyebrows. They do not hurt at all. The chin/jawline one has been there for about 2 yrs and the eyelid/brow one is only about 8-12 months old. I can move a ball around in them. I have tried to pop them, to no avail. People notice them right off the bat and I hate people looking at me because of it. I also have a raised red thing on my nose.

I'm 22 years old and I've recently noticed a lump that is about 1 cm in diameter under my chin, back towards the neck. It seems to be round. I first noticed it because my neck felt tender and the ear on that same side ached slightly. You can't notice it by looking. To feel the lump you have to push up under the chin near the neck, and then it pops out. I'm able to move the lump to my jawline. It's very, very mobile.

I have a swollen lump under my chin/tongue area as well as a very red (disgusting looking) throat.......what is it and what should i do??? P.S. I hate doctors, clinics, and hospitals.....any home remedies perhaps??? My Mom says I should gargle with peroxide. The 3 % kind, diluted with water. About half and half she said. Should I?????

I have pains sometimes but on the right thyroid or feels like in tarchea d now it affecting my voice. I also have tiny cyst bellow my chin or above my thyroid. I told the doctor who did my biopsy and said t too small for FNA. I appreciate any advise.

I recently noticed that when I put my chin to my chest, I could feel a lump or something on the left side of under my jawbone. I felt around, and I can't really feel anything unusual when my head is upright. Or rather, I can feel something smooth there, but I think I always had it on both sides. But when I tilt my head forwards and poke my fingers underneath my jawbone I can feel a small lump that I can "move" to the chin side of my jawbone quite easily.

however, since the accident, my chin has been numb and does not feel like it has regained any feeling. It feels like there is a lump in my chin, but x-rays did not show that anything was broken and if I hold the lump, I can move it around on my chin. The worse injury appeared to be on my upper lip, but that is getting better. Is there an explanation for why my chin is still not getting better? Is there possible permanent nerve damage to the chin area?

UNDER MY CHIN TO THE LEFT A BIT I FEEL A TINY LUMP, DOENST MOVE, AN DOESNT HURT, ADN I HAVENT BEEN SICK WHATSOEVER AND I JUST FUND IT TODAY, KIND OF WORREIS ME. ANY IDEAS WHAT I MAY BE. I OF XOURSE THINK OF CANCER RIGHT AWAY?

Re: lump under chin, I would go straight to the dr. get a blood test for EBV and be referred to an ENT. If you live in the country go to the city, don't mess around with this or wait too long. It's always better to be safe than sorry. this if speaking from experience. I pray you'll be okay.

I have this really painful lump or bump under my chin i just notices it and i tryed to see if it moves and it doesnt! what do you think it is? iam pretty scared and i have no acne so i know its not that. Do you think i should get a doctor to check it out?

i have a large lump on the right side of my chin, although i do have herpes on the right corner of my mouth but how would that cause a large swollen, bruise-like lump on the right corner of my chin? i am really worried that it might be cancer...but i have never smoked and i am wondering what kind of cancer would form if i havent done anything to provoke a tumor...i need to know how it would be possible for cancer to form there if ive taken care of myself...??

i had a swollen glan under the armpit a few years ago , also a huge one under my chin that would cause a lump on my tounge , i had samples of all these removed on the operating table as they used to come every 5 months or so . they results came back with nothing and they havent appeared since .

I found a lump on my breast and have been told to have an ultra sound, dr thinks it is a lymph node. I have also got a lump in my groin, armpit, under my chin . What could this be I am begining to worry. The one in my groin and chin has been there about six months.

It is sort of an odd thing for the nurse to say but I guess if one of the above it could be a cause. I would say the worry of the lump would cause a tension headache.
