Avatar n tn Hello, I have had a problem with my c-sec scar for a approx 3 weeks and wondered what i could do to improve it personally if poss. my scar opened up a day after surgery by a minor almost 1 cm. i had the surgury 2 yrs ago in june. my scar now where it had opened ( healed within 1 month of c sec) at one side has bubbled up and it feels quite sore only when touched though. just above more towards oneside i have mild pain which has been there for almost a week.
Avatar n tn my c section scar from 8 years ago bothers me from time to time. mine is because of scar tissue. scar tissue can cause pain, but i would think your dr's would have thought of that. have they considered endometriosis? really they can find symptoms but cant tell you for sure unless they go in. im sorry you are going through so much pain, and its not good to stay on pain killers for so long. i hope they figure it out for you and soon.
Avatar f tn I was born with gastroschisis 18 years ago and I have a huge horrible scar that never was suturated; moreover, I have no belly button. I'm wondering if there is someone in the same circumstances that can get in touch with me. I'm desperately looking for an expert reconstructive surgeon in this matter. Can someone has had a gastroschisis scar revision? I was told that the right surgeon is able to create a belly button, as well as remove this shocking scar. Please recommend me the right surgeon.
Avatar m tn i gave birth to my third child by c-section and got my tubes tide as well, all of my births have been by c-section and have, within the past 6months or so gotten high fevers, a lump above my c-section and sharp pains where my insecion is, i also feel extreme back pains.
Avatar f tn Hi, I burned the back of my arm a few years ago by a black light bulb. My arm touched the light bulb for literally a second and gave me second degree burns. About a year ago, four small bumps have appeared on the edge of the scar- three in a row and one on the opposite side of the scar. Now, a year after they formed, they are itching like crazy!!! I've read over some things on the internet and it seems the general concensus is just that the scar tissue is still healing, causing the itching.
Avatar f tn Hi. Since April I have had pain above my left breast. It's not constantly there, but it comes and goes. Sometimes it feels like a burning pain, other times it feels like a cramp. I've also felt it in my armpit at times and it will also creep up over my shoulder. Although I VERY RARELY feel it on the right side, it DOES happen once in awhile. But for the most part it's been my left side.
Avatar n tn And if you have please come back and let us know what you found out. I too have a lump that I've recently found but its above my breast and closer to the center of my chest. Definitely feels like its on my rib - hurts to the touch and like someone else said, it actually feels like the pain extends to my back. I have shortness of breath - easy tasks now make me out of breath. Bizarre.
Avatar n tn After I had finished reading the other post, I decided that I had held this long enough, when I took the cloth from the lump I noticed that there was a lot of brown puss coming from the lump. I am so glad that I found this site and that you all have had the same problem, being that I don't have any insurance I haven't been to the doctor for this. Now I am wondering how long it will be before the lump is completely gone since the puss has begun. Please help me.

I have tried many otc drugs to calm pain. i know it is related to my reproductive system cuz its worse when i have my periods. I have alwys bled heavily but now thee are more clots and it looks like fresh blood. had a mri hope this reveals some answers...what could this be?
Avatar n tn Since then, I have had an abdominal mass (which is located just above my c section scar) and more bleeding in my stools as well as blood coming out of my bum on its own accord. I had an ultrasound for the abdominal mass and was told that there was nothing to worry about, it was subcutaneous tissue (possibly related to the c section) However, during my monthly periods this lump swells up and is very painful. During the rest of the month it calms down until my next cycle.
640907 tn?1223438588 Ever since then, I have a lump below my belly button and above my C-Section scar. The lump is about 5 inches wide and 5 inches long. It feels like a huge ball. When I lay down on my back and push my stomach muscles (like a sit up), the lump becomes very visible and has the shape of a cone. Otherwise, when I'm standing it can only be seen a little bit. It only hurts if I press on the left side of it. I am overweight. I am 5'0 and weigh 200 pounds.
676912 tn?1332816151 So the day before yesterday I leaned against my kitchen counter to get something off the top shelf of my cabinet, and a spot on my right side about four inches above my c-section scar started to hurt. I put my hand on my stomach to see if I could feel what it was, and felt this little hard spot. I thought it may have been a bug bite, here in Korea there's so many mosquitos they bite everywhere even if you have on clothes, but I couldn't see anything.
Avatar f tn I have had 2 c section and then a hestroectomy in 2011 I have a knot above my pelvic bone that comes and goes I have so much pain in the whole bottom part of my stomach all the way down I have gone to several doctors and obgyns and they cant find n e thing wrong when I walk it feels like im ripping apart I hurt so bad I cant move it was for a week at a time til the doctor tried a new medicine now its been going on for 5 weeks strait is there n e thing I can do to help with the pain and has n e
12758 tn?1201223280 The moisture helps the scar heal w/o skin flaking and drying out and, thus they say a better scar and stitches don't get buried where they have to dig them out. It hurts around the muscles for 2-3 days around the excision and then it gets better and better .. different type of hurt vs. thyroid .. more ouch from a "clean cut" like you got hurt and got stitches.
Avatar n tn Yet another one said it was a much faster way to her stomach. The other sister said it was a botched C-section. Yeah, sarcasm is the only thing that would get us through.
Avatar n tn I too have this same thing! I'm a mother of 2, average weight. By abdominal ultrasound, I was told that it is scar tissue from my c-section that was 18 mos ago...but this "scar tissue" is inches above my scar. All my bloodwork came back normal (which is reassuring.) But I too have recently lost about 7 lbs. The only thing I've changed is started takine Sudafed several times a week for allergies and a multivitamin. How is everyone else doing? Any new diagnosis?? Thanks!
Avatar n tn I am 23 and 7 months ago i got a sharp stabbing uncontrollable pain in my stomach along with a lump it was about 3 inches below my belly button and 2 above my c-section scar. 1914587 tn?1322606059 26 more staples, a drainage tube, and a scar that looks like I had a C section later, my intestines were better but I hadn't eaten in more than 14 days, and at that point food looked and smelled repulsive to me. I was on several medications in the Escanaba hospital during my 14 day quarantine: Dilaudid 2 mg every 2 hrs, 50 mg of Benadryl, all kinds of antibiotics (all intravenously), and Xanax because my anxiety was out of control.
Avatar f tn I have a small hard lump under the belly button and a larger one above. I also have a hard mass under the lowest incision on my right side with some residual visual bruising. 2 days ago I took a shower and was ready to out when I looked down and noticed reddish brown blood/discharge coming from my belly button incision. I tried cleaning it up and it would stop for a minute an then start again.
168348 tn?1379360675 Woke up this morning yet again with a golf ball size lump of swelling behing my scar and above and below my scar! Hadnt had time to get out of bed and overdo it!
127512 tn?1193745816 Just wanted to mention that my brother had a lump also in same area above belly button, and it turned out to be a hernia. Did the doc mention this as a possibility?
Avatar n tn I have a 5 inch scar running down from almost my sternum to almost my c-section scar. The surgeon, in my case, was forced to perform a "minni" tummy-tuck for the area around my belly button and also made me a new bellybutton. Now the problem is that all of the skin below my belly button has bunched up and looks worse than before the hernia repair. He says that he would have no problem getting this covered from my insurance because of a ponounced diastis recti that is still there.
Avatar m tn I just had an umbilical hernia repaired. I felt great the day of the op, and the first post-op day. On the 2nd day, I ended up in the hospital with severe dehydration. I took a whole bag of fluid. While there, the ER doctor squeezed a sore lump in my stomach I hadn't noticed before, about 2-2 1/2" directly above where the lump had been in my navel (navel was removed during surgery). It's a fairly good sized lump (about baseball sized) and is more pronounced when I stand up.
Avatar n tn my gyno that did my cone biopsy several years ago and also delivered my middle child via c-section. He is a wonderful gyno and I am waiting to get an appointment with him. I know he will listen to me so I have great comfort in that. I forgot all about him and found him in a new practice near where I now Iive. I think his speciality, although not onco, is of diseases.
1408746 tn?1283678948 I am attaching a picture of my surgery scar to correct my Nutcracker Syndrome and I would also like to state that although I just had my surgery, my pelvic pain has improved dramatically. I hope this helps someone!
Avatar n tn It is impossible to predict when DCIS will become invasive. Therefore the standard of care for DCIS is to remove the lump or the breast (depending on the evaluation and recommendation from the surgeon) and follow-up with appropriate treatments depending on the final pathology. It is not uncommon to experience bruising and discomfort at the biopsy site. A biopsy does not impact cancer growth.
Avatar f tn I had this as well, and had it removed before I had my kids. Funny, though, when my milk came in after each pregnancy, this area was swollen again! However, when I stopped the "engorged" stage, it went back down. It was a great surgery for me, b/c the lump rubbed against my bra when my arm was down, and did cause some discomfort.
