Common Questions and Answers about Lower back pain herpes

pain

Avatar m tn well lots of more logical explanations....lol you have a back injury that when it flares up it can leave you bedridden. Yes herpes could aggravate it during recurrences but if the back pain is worse and no obvious lesions, herpes isn't likely the cause even if you do have herpes. make sense?
Avatar f tn I posted a week or two ago about concerns I had re potential herpes symptoms (under Title "herpes or tinea, or...??") My wife is suddenly experiencing lower back pain - started 2 days ago. If this is a sign of a herpes outbreak, how long from the onset of lower back pain to the forming of lesions (if they do form)? Does this happen in primary and recurrent outbreaks? PS: I did not post to my original question, as I did not know if it was truly related question.
Avatar m tn no reason to think that herpes is causing her back pain. Just back pain and no obvious lesions at this point in her symptoms wouldn't be herpes related. also the odds that you contracted genital herpes yourself, had no signs and transmitted it are incredibly low too. It was a one time protected encounter, not a real big risk for any std's. don't confuse guilt with risk!
Avatar m tn This is when the back pain first started. The pain went away after about 2 weeks, and now is back again, along with the hip aches. The pain in my back usually goes away when I lay down, so I'm not sure what to make of it. Does this sound like the type of back pain that people with HSV2 have? and if not, what does HSV2 induced back pain feel like? (sharp, dull, etc)? Also, is back pain ever the only symptom? Thank you!
Avatar f tn In my heart I believe these problems are attributed to herpes. Can herpes cause lower back and hip pain along with all of these other symptoms and can it be reoccuring again and again? This whole thing seems to cycle continuously with my period and vaginal discharge is prevelant in the midst of these symptoms. The lower back pain seems somewhat consistent and my primary care doctor believes it is a pinched nerve. I am having a hard time accepting this.
Avatar f tn is the pain associated with when you get recurrences or is it constant /random?
Avatar n tn Hello all, I am male and I had protected oral sex 12 weeks ago with CSW and I tested for everything (Gono, Chlamydia, Syphilis, HIV, Hep B&C, Herpes 1&2) last week and all came back NEGATIVE. But I didn't test for NGU. For the last 1 week or so, I have a lower abdominal pain that is always constant and occasionally I feel a sharp pain (for 5 sec) on my tip of penis. It subsided afterwords and come back in couple of hours.
Avatar m tn Hello all, I am a 22 year old male and last week I had protected sex with a few seconds of unprotected oral. A few days after I noticed sciatic pain in my lower back and hips as well as itchiness in my rectum. I have not had any blisters or Outbreaks (that I can see) but I am concerned that this signs of herpes. The girl I slept with claims to be clean and has tested negative in the past. Any hell will be appreciated.
Avatar m tn Back pain only when you lean back is not a herpes issue. The back pain that is associated with herpes occurs with recurrences of the virus and would be constant during the ob.
Avatar m tn This doesn't sound herpes related. typically any back pain from your genital herpes would be just prior to a recurrence. As we get older, all sorts of aches and pains develop unfortunately and it may be worth a trip to the chiropractor or your regular doctors for further evaluation. Another option is to visit a therapeutic massage therapist when you have pain so that they can help narrow down the area and help you see if it's muscular or not ( plus any excuse for a massage!!! ).
Avatar m tn hii, lower back pain is a sign of an initial herpes outbreak but it can also be caused by a TON of other things. usually a herpes blemish will consist of many tiny blisters or clusters of blisters in the mucous membrane areas such as the mouth or genitals. they will then usually explode by themselves and scab over causing kindof a goldish scab. they also usually reoccur in the same spot.
Avatar m tn Now it is back and almost looks sacral herpes. 2 questions. Would antibiotics suppress the herpes outbreak (since herpes is a virus and antibiotics attack bacteria) i might be answering my own question but just curious. 2nd) has anyone experienced something similar this?
1951021 tn?1324580615 There are various causes of a burning sensation in the lower back, which could range from muscle sprains, or spasms, infections like herpes zoster and conditions like pinched nerves. Zoster symptoms would be dermatomal in pattern and there would be skin lesions like blisters, limited to the area supplied by the affected nerve. Since you have the burning sensation extending to the hips and down until the feet, I suggest that you consult a neurologist soon.
Avatar m tn I have not had any herpes symptoms in terms of blisters, fever or swollen lymph at all. I have however started to develop some lower back pain and some pain in the upper part of the buttocks. All on the same side. The pain started about two weeks ago and has gotten worse after I played some sports a few days ago. The pain is similar to the feeling you get after an injection into the buttocks. Could this pain be associated with herpes?
Avatar n tn My situation is that my girlfriend and I have gotten away from using condoms and after having sex the other night I woke up with horrible lower back, glute and back of leg pain. I know that this can be an early indicator of an outbrake coming on. My worry and wonder is if this pain was the next morning and I have still not noticed any other sign of an outbrake, could I have been contagious at the time of intercourse.
Avatar m tn The majority of the pain seems to be a tingling feeling in my shins and almost an aching in my ankles. There has been no actual groin pain but I do feel a slight nerve type pain in the back of my knees from time to time when sitting. Also there was one day early on that my lower abdomen was sore however they may have been the muscles sore due to overstress. I have had no lesions or rashes anywhere in the genital area or on my thighs and have been inspecting pretty thoroughly.
Avatar f tn Back pain can accompany genital herpes outbreaks, but even this is rare. HSV is not a known cause of chronic, ongoing back pain. What do you mean by "never told her my diagnosis"? Do you have genital herpes? Or a positive HSV blood test? Even if you do, I doubt Valtrex will make any difference in your back pain. Probably the ID doc prescribed it hopefully but not really expecting it to help.
Avatar f tn I can hear it as well as feel it. I feel severe pressure and deep pain underneath the crunching in my lower back. This is a recent issue as I have not had time to Andreas my physician just yet. This problem is very concerning and alarming for me. Has anyone had similar problems, or perhaps know what this may be caused from? Please advise, thank you and God Bless.
11091907 tn?1415221745 I also found out that I have a blood clot in my left leg. I am now having a lot of lower back pain. Been to the doctor and they gave me some pain meds and scheduled me for another ultrasound to determine when the surgery is. I have not felt pain like this since I was diagnosed. Sometimes it hurts so bad to even walk. Not sure what to do. Called the doctor and they told me to keep going to the ER to get the cycts looked at. Don't know how much more of this pain I can take.
