Avatar f tn Losing and maintaining weight is 80% nutrition and 20% exercise. I have some ideas for you, if you'd like to message me privately.
Avatar f tn I'm a 19 year old girl and I'm 5ft. I do cardio 4 times a week (elliptical machine) and I do toning workouts with weights for 5-6 days a week for between 15-30mins. I try to eat healthy, but I do have my off times when I go above my 1200 calories intake. However, I'm not losing any weight. I'm 106 pounds and my goal is to be 99 pounds. I know its not a lot but its really important for me to get my figure back. Someone please help?
Avatar n tn Small fluctuations in weight occur frequently - it is sometimes worth it to think globally about your weight and step back. Your body may naturally fluctuate within a 5-10 pound zone depending on little changes here and there in your diet or the type of exercise you are doing. If you are dead set on losing five pounds, I would start by increasing your water intake, and think carefully about not only how many calories a day you are consuming but what type.
Avatar m tn Walk 5 miles every week and work out at the gym with weights. The problem is that I am not losing any weight in the last two weeks. I am keeping my calorie intake around 1200 to 1500 calories daily. I understand that I may be putting on muscle but I am also getting discouraged with not losing weight. When can I expect to see the pounds start to drop off?
Avatar n tn Won't losing fats result in weight loss too? I am not a "veteran exerciser" and don't want to push a lot. I need to lose fats' weight first and then move on to something vigorous.
Avatar m tn I can't seem to lose any fat no matter what I do. I eat a lot of small meals instead of a few big ones, and I eat slightly under my recommended intake (about 200-400 calories less depending). I don't always eat healthy because I can't always afford to but I do pretty well--fruits, veggies, whole grains, yogurt, lean protein. I ride a bicycle between 45 minutes and 2 hours every day.
Avatar f tn If you are walking 3 to 6 miles per day solely for the purpose of losing weight, consider cutting back to about 2 to 3 miles per day. That will be enough to maintain health without making your body think that it needs to operate at maximum energy efficiency. If you need to walk that much for other reasons, then do what you need to do, but change the kind of food you eat. No sugar, no junk food, no soda pop, and cook your own meals from groceries.
Avatar f tn Not losing been on this for month. Work out 7days and eat right. Weight was 174 lost 8 lbs. Losing inches that is all. Is there something I can do better. I don't want to stop working out but am I doing to much. Work out 1hour 15 mins.

Avatar f tn Interval training is all the rage, but it has nothing to so with losing weight -- any exercise will do that. It's more of a fitness building thing. You've already located the problem, which is your diet, as you're already exercising enough for your health.
Avatar n tn I just started the pill a few days ago. In a few weeks, I'm travelling to another country that is about 15 hours behind our time zone. Now I've read that I should still take it at my usual time in my time zone. Unfortunately, I'm taking it at 6:00 PM so that means that when I travel overseas, 6 PM in my time zone would be 3 AM there. Is there any chance that I can change my time, maybe gradually, so I can go from 6 PM to say, 12 noon without losing effectivity?
