
If you are walking 3 to 6 miles per day solely for the purpose of
losing weight, consider cutting back to about 2 to 3 miles per day. That will be enough to maintain health without making your body think that it needs to operate at maximum energy efficiency. If you need to walk that much for other reasons, then do what you need to do, but change the kind of food you eat. No sugar, no junk food, no soda pop, and cook your own meals from groceries.
