Avatar f tn So I had an ultrasound today again, I'm about 11 weeks. In the last month I've lost about 8 lbs. I was a little bigger before my pregnancy. I haven't been vomiting or anything but I've been losing weight. The baby's heart beat and everything was normal. Have any of you other ladies lost weight during pregnancy without throwing up? I'm kind of worried.
Avatar n tn m not sure what the issue is with losing facial weight; it was a good thing when I lost facial weight because it meant that my thyroid med was working and took away the puffiness, so I was thrilled; however, if you don't like the way your face looks, there are exercises you can do to tone the muscles in your face....... You might consider doing a "google" search for facial exercises and see what you come up with.......
Avatar f tn The problem is that I just want to lose my belly, face, and neck without losing my hips, butt, and legs. I need help can someone give me some advice.
Avatar f tn Wow your one of the lucky ones I've gained a good bit of weight but now it looks like its all my baby ya know so I guess I'll find out soon enough how much I'll lose after
Avatar n tn "yo yo" dieting (losing weight in a rapid manner, then gaining it all back and then some) is a very unhealthy practice as it stresses our bodies. Have you figured out why you overeat, (which later leads to the compulsion to lose weight)? I find with a lot of people (myself included) it's from some combination of anxiety / boredom. Address those issues in a non-food way, and you may have found your long term solution.
Avatar f tn I Don't Know If It's Normal But I AM Losing Weight and I'm just 7 weeks. My face is thinning out and I'm fitting into a 2 size smaller.
Avatar f tn If your A1C is high you are likely pre-diabetic. That combined with PCOS will make it tough getting pregnant. Ask your doctor about taking metformin. This will help regulate your insulin levels which will help your diabetes and will work with your ovaries to hopefully get them to ovulate. Metformin has also been known to help women lose weight combined with diet and exercise. Watch your portion size. When you eat a carb make sure you've got a protein. Cut out sugars.
1149046 tn?1264361586 For your height, you are just about perfect weight. Losing 20 pounds would put almost in the "underweight" category. I would not advise doing that. Here's part of a height/weight chart that applies to YOU.
Avatar f tn One lb of weight is equivalent to about 3500 calories. So if you want to lose a pound of weight your going to need to cut back a total of 3500 calories in three or four days and you will likely lose about 1 lb. I hope this makes sense to you. If your body is burning 2000 calories daily and you are eating 1300 calories daily that is a 700 calorie deficiency per day. So... in about 5 days you would loose 1 lb. (700 calorie per day X 5 days= 3500 calories. Now...
Avatar n tn Why do you want to be underweight? If you love sports you most likely have a lot of muscle mas making up your current underweight BMI. Get a fat percentage measurement done and you may find that you should actually worry more about properly nourishing and taking care of your body's needs than losing weight. Don't hurt yourself, and your body will continue to play sports. Underweight is not good. http://www.nhlbi.nih.gov/guidelines/obesity/BMI/bmicalc.
Avatar n tn As the first comment correctly stated, losing weight fast doesn't last and leaves you weaker, which you don't want to be if you're getting ready for basic training. Why not wait to join the military until you're ready?
11696213 tn?1420470907 As long as you are eating healthy and regularly and taking your prenatals you are good loosing weight could be good for you and your baby being over weight can put you and your unborn at higher risk if it becomes a big concern for you bring in up to your ob they will give you a professional opinion i wouldnt be worried though praying for you and your unborn you are going to have an awesome pregnancy :)
Avatar f tn No it's normal at during your 1st trimester for your weight to be down and up.. Keep taking your prenatals and whatever you could keep down make it healthy.. I lost 13 lbs from my 1st and 2nd trimester.. If it gets worse your doctor will help you don't worry.
10286987 tn?1410261849 Birth control pills can cause weight gain. You should talk to your parents about getting a different type of birth control.
Avatar f tn I lost 20 pounds the first 19 week of my pregnancies from morning sickness. I just started gaining weight and I've already gained 10 pounds. So be happy your losing it because once you start gaining it your going to gain like crazy. But they say you usually lose weight with boys, and well everyone I know with boys has lost weight like crazy so if you haven't yet found out what your having this might be a good wives tale.
Avatar f tn Your bones don't change. Why do you want to weigh 80 lb. Are you 4'9"? If you are 5'2", then go tell your doctor you have anorexia nervosa and he will hospitalize you before you go into organ failure. Maybe they can help you.
Avatar f tn I just want to say first off. Never give up! It will get better. I know its hard to not feel like your at a weight, or skin your unconfortable with, but try having a chat with your family doctor. They should be able to set and appropriate goal weight for you, and give you some tips on losing some weight. Never try starving yourself or making yourself throw up. You are wonderfully made. Keep going. You can do it.
Avatar f tn I thought pregnancy was ALL about gaining not losing weight...anywho this is my third pregnancy and its never happened before.
Avatar n tn A good dietary regime and exercises all will be helpful in losing weight. Losing weight in a healthy way is important for maintaining the glow of your skin. Eat lots of fruits, dark green leafy vegetables, fruits and consume less of potato, sweetened and processed foods. Start your day by drinking lemon juice in warm water. Have fruits with lots of vitamin C in breakfast that will help you cut fats as vitamin C is a fat burner. Exercise daily for 30-40 minutes like walking or aerobic exercise.
Avatar f tn It depends on what your starting weight is and the way you are losing it. If you have a higher starting weight and you are losing weight because you are eating healthier and exercising than your okay. If your doctor says its okay, you should be fine. Plus you have more than half your pregnancy ahead of you to gain some of that weight back. Don't stress, i am sure you'll be fine.
Avatar f tn First of all, you might get more responses if you posted on Type II forum, as this is Type I. Also there isn't a lot of traffic here in general, so I suggest you go on to a board with a lot of people who are considering these issues and you will get a lot more info. Two good ones are: TuDiabetes.com and Diabetesforums.com Just to give you some general feedback, you don't mention what your medication regimen is or if you take insulin.
Avatar f tn Idk your not supposed to lose weight in pregnancy. I mean sOme ppl get really sick and help it but you really shouldn't lose just to lose. You should talk to your doctor about it.
Avatar f tn Some people might think that if you drastically reduce your calorie intake, the weight will just fall off you. This is not true. Actually, if you drastically reduce your calorie intake, your body thinking its not going to get food, goes into something called starvation mode and holds on to every calorie. This is real. This isn't an exaggeration.
Avatar f tn s best to calculate number of calories needed, based on your current age, weight, height and activity level. That way you can make sure you get enough, but not too many.
