Avatar f tn I gained about the same with my daughter. I lost it all pretty quickly with breastfeeding yoga and pilates but now that I'm 30 I'm not sure how my body will respond this time around. I stay active now by taking very long walks at a moderate pace. I just hope to snap back.

Avatar f tn I agree that you should eat as few processed foods as possible. I don't agree that you need to invest in a guided fitness plan. Look up some yoga videos or pilates, etc... even "walk" videos, where you walk to a DVD... love doing those, when I can't get outside.

You have to create a calorie deficit in order to burn fat. Cutting 500 calories a day is good; but never drop more than a 1000 calories from your diet.

Besides that, I also would like to know how to get rid of the annoying back fat because I'm also having some problems shaping that part of my body also. Thank you.
3360193 tn?1365871889 t concerned with the length of time it will take to lose the weight, I would suggest starting with yoga or pilates, that way you can get reacquainted with your body, and then after a couple months try a zumba class! It's a great way to have fun and workout all at the same time. And as always, make sure you eat well balanced meals!

I have got to get this weight off me once and for all!! Baby not due til Sept but I know this is something I have to do.. I can't stand myself like this.. Avatar f tn I disagree that running is the only exercise that increases weight loss. I've lost weight with walking briskly for an hour daily. I've also lost weight in the past, with yoga and other forms of exercise. Anything that keeps you moving will burn calories and that's the goal.
Avatar f tn I am sorry - just so focused on gaining weight the losing weight and all is not even registering... there are over the counter creams which I do not think work - but maybe a dermatologist can presribe something that will smooth the appearance. Yoga and Pilates help strenghten, elongate and tone as well. Maybe you can look into the weight/health area and a trainer might be on and advise of some other suggestions.

Avatar f tn I really recommend pregnancy yoga in your 2nd and 3rd trimester, before that aqua aerobics, swimming, normal yoga and Pilates, gym workout, light jog, stationary bike and cross trainer, anything really as long as you are feeling well and comfortable doing it.
Avatar n tn It's a great addition. Yoga tends to be more mussel building and toning your body, when working out to loose weight you need a good combination of cardio and body toning. I love doing Yoga and it's very helpful to me, but if I didn't walk/run on a treadmill I wouldn't have lost any weight.

We're getting rain some days, which does help cool it down but as soon as the sun comes out, it's like a sauna (or steam bath). It's been pretty quiet in my world this past week. I did get the stitches out of my hand/arm on Friday.
