1149046 tn?1264361586 Can you please tell us your height, current weight, activity level, etc are? Do you really need to lose weight or do you just need to tone muscles? I've read that it IS harder for women to lose weight than it is for men, but I'm sure that's not an "across the board" determination. I did try Mega-T Green Tea with Hoodia --- it did nothing for me......
Avatar f tn I gained about the same with my daughter. I lost it all pretty quickly with breastfeeding yoga and pilates but now that I'm 30 I'm not sure how my body will respond this time around. I stay active now by taking very long walks at a moderate pace. I just hope to snap back.
Avatar f tn s hard to bring weight down I worry about health. But so far so good losing fat gaining baby and keeping nutrition healthy. Gosh why didI go with belly dancing classes pre pregancy. I'm at least two sizes bigger than I should be.
1430240 tn?1290434023 I searched online for a calculator that told me my caloric needs for each trimester. Prior to becoming pregnant I had just started losing weight through reduced calories and frequent exercising.
Avatar f tn I agree that you should eat as few processed foods as possible. I don't agree that you need to invest in a guided fitness plan. Look up some yoga videos or pilates, etc... even "walk" videos, where you walk to a DVD... love doing those, when I can't get outside.
Avatar f tn Aerobic or cardiovascular exercises help burn off fat, but strengthening exercises tone and firm muscles. Do ab-specific exercises like the Plank and bicycle crunches; along with Yoga and Pilates to help tone and tighten your core. Perform your toning exercises every second day; or yoga every day. You have to create a calorie deficit in order to burn fat. Cutting 500 calories a day is good; but never drop more than a 1000 calories from your diet.
5623242 tn?1371127079 It may be a bit difficult to lose weight with diabetes but not impossible. If you are aiming at losing weight, it is important to calculate your current BMI and the target BMI. The target BMI should be in a healthy range. The key is to follow a healthy diet plan with a balanced amount of physical activity.
Avatar f tn com/calculatorsprograms/calculators/caloriesburned/Pilates maybe you can still track your pilates as yoga, but you can change the calories number.
952296 tn?1249305476 I actually wanted to know what type of exercises that is can get rid of my belly fat because it is the hardest part of my body to shape. I have tried pilates, crunches, sit-ups, and now yoga but nothing seems to be effective enough for me to get rid of the belly fat. I have also kept a balanced diet since 2007. Besides that, I also would like to know how to get rid of the annoying back fat because I'm also having some problems shaping that part of my body also. Thank you.
3360193 tn?1365871889 t concerned with the length of time it will take to lose the weight, I would suggest starting with yoga or pilates, that way you can get reacquainted with your body, and then after a couple months try a zumba class! It's a great way to have fun and workout all at the same time. And as always, make sure you eat well balanced meals!

Avatar f tn I purchased a prenatal yoga and a prenatal pilates. I do it 3 times a week. I really like it so far. But I have only done prenatal yoga so far but I will be trying the other one soon!
Avatar f tn Thank you, I will try to do more yoga, but what are pilates? Sorry, I am new to weight loss exercises.

Cat I'm looking for tips on diet and easy exercises that will help flatten the belly, lower my weight and blood pressure. I work at a job outdoors and am on my feet 5 to 8 hrs a day.
Avatar f tn I disagree that running is the only exercise that increases weight loss. I've lost weight with walking briskly for an hour daily. I've also lost weight in the past, with yoga and other forms of exercise. Anything that keeps you moving will burn calories and that's the goal.
Avatar f tn I am sorry - just so focused on gaining weight the losing weight and all is not even registering... there are over the counter creams which I do not think work - but maybe a dermatologist can presribe something that will smooth the appearance. Yoga and Pilates help strenghten, elongate and tone as well. Maybe you can look into the weight/health area and a trainer might be on and advise of some other suggestions.
Avatar f tn Most hospitals have free workout classes for pregnant women who plan on having the baby at their facility. Prenatal pilates and yoga classes is what mine offers.
Avatar f tn I really recommend pregnancy yoga in your 2nd and 3rd trimester, before that aqua aerobics, swimming, normal yoga and Pilates, gym workout, light jog, stationary bike and cross trainer, anything really as long as you are feeling well and comfortable doing it.
Avatar n tn It's a great addition. Yoga tends to be more mussel building and toning your body, when working out to loose weight you need a good combination of cardio and body toning. I love doing Yoga and it's very helpful to me, but if I didn't walk/run on a treadmill I wouldn't have lost any weight.
649848 tn?1534633700 Good morning. How is everyone doing this morning. It looks like it's going to be another hot day. I hope you're not still getting caught in the heat wave. We're getting rain some days, which does help cool it down but as soon as the sun comes out, it's like a sauna (or steam bath). It's been pretty quiet in my world this past week. I did get the stitches out of my hand/arm on Friday.
