Avatar f tn Eat more vegetables and fruit and small amounts of lean meat/fish/poultry, reducing calories sensibly. Then exercise - climb stairs, dance, do yard work, do yoga, pilates, lift free weights. You will tone up an lose weight.
Avatar m tn Try changing the type and intensity of your workout. Try pilates or yoga as a change. The smaller you get the more effort it takes to lose a pound.
Avatar f tn I gained about the same with my daughter. I lost it all pretty quickly with breastfeeding yoga and pilates but now that I'm 30 I'm not sure how my body will respond this time around. I stay active now by taking very long walks at a moderate pace. I just hope to snap back.
Avatar f tn I do yoga and Pilates

Avatar f tn s hard to bring weight down I worry about health. But so far so good losing fat gaining baby and keeping nutrition healthy. Gosh why didI go with belly dancing classes pre pregancy. I'm at least two sizes bigger than I should be.
Avatar f tn I agree that you should eat as few processed foods as possible. I don't agree that you need to invest in a guided fitness plan. Look up some yoga videos or pilates, etc... even "walk" videos, where you walk to a DVD... love doing those, when I can't get outside.
Avatar n tn I don't understand how you can gain fat, while losing weight. Have you lost a lot of weight, which could contribute to lose skin that "appears" flabby? It's possible that you need to be doing more toning exercises, rather than the high intensity exercises. I love yoga and walking. They are both great for weight loss and toning.
429615 tn?1204504480 I definitely recommend Yoga and Pilates. When I was Pregnant last year I told was to immediately stop tough and challenging Cardio and any ab routine as your stomach is very sensitive right now. So I basically stuck to Yoga, Pilates and light weight lifting. I was 13 weeks and hadn't gained a single pound. I think the exercise helped and just try and remember to eat healthy...
Avatar f tn Aerobic or cardiovascular exercises help burn off fat, but strengthening exercises tone and firm muscles. Do ab-specific exercises like the Plank and bicycle crunches; along with Yoga and Pilates to help tone and tighten your core. Perform your toning exercises every second day; or yoga every day. You have to create a calorie deficit in order to burn fat. Cutting 500 calories a day is good; but never drop more than a 1000 calories from your diet.
Avatar f tn As far as the physical exercises are concerned best results can be obtained with rotating between various activities like gymming, running/ jogging, yoga, pilates, aerobics, biking, swimming etc. The weight loss would need to be gradual 0.5-2 pound/ week is decent. With gradual consistent efforts, you should be able to lose weight in a healthy way. Hope this helps. Take care!
Avatar f tn Im 16 about 5"6 and saddly 17, ive been losing weight witch is great but i really want to lose the inches... i want to tone my stoumch and my thighs and if possible a thigh gap...
5623242 tn?1371127079 It may be a bit difficult to lose weight with diabetes but not impossible. If you are aiming at losing weight, it is important to calculate your current BMI and the target BMI. The target BMI should be in a healthy range. The key is to follow a healthy diet plan with a balanced amount of physical activity.
Avatar f tn com/calculatorsprograms/calculators/caloriesburned/Pilates maybe you can still track your pilates as yoga, but you can change the calories number.
952296 tn?1249305476 I actually wanted to know what type of exercises that is can get rid of my belly fat because it is the hardest part of my body to shape. I have tried pilates, crunches, sit-ups, and now yoga but nothing seems to be effective enough for me to get rid of the belly fat. I have also kept a balanced diet since 2007. Besides that, I also would like to know how to get rid of the annoying back fat because I'm also having some problems shaping that part of my body also. Thank you.
Avatar f tn I purchased a prenatal yoga and a prenatal pilates. I do it 3 times a week. I really like it so far. But I have only done prenatal yoga so far but I will be trying the other one soon!
3360193 tn?1365871889 t concerned with the length of time it will take to lose the weight, I would suggest starting with yoga or pilates, that way you can get reacquainted with your body, and then after a couple months try a zumba class! It's a great way to have fun and workout all at the same time. And as always, make sure you eat well balanced meals!
Avatar f tn You can try doing some yoga or pilates to firm up the area under your butt and that might also help attain a thigh gap; however, you should be aware that there are those of us who have never and will never have a thigh gap. Even when I weighed less than 100 lbs, I had a bit of chub rub.
Avatar f tn Has anyone looked into Pilates or Yoga? Ive heard its great to get into while pregnant and helps with the labour? Your thoughts?
Avatar f tn t be scared, or worried. Working out is a charm, for some people. I also do Pilates and Yoga, a lot too, so im a relatively active 13 year old :P But, its all part of motivation. Find a workout for either cardio(legs, running), upper body, lower body, core(abs), or all, stick to it, or create your own workout plan that's best for you. I work out, do pilates, and yoga 2 times a day, and im so happy for where i am. So, just motivate yourself. Its all that.

501045 tn?1331083136 Hi. I was diagnosed with PCOS several years ago. Initially it was a relief to have an explanation for what I was experiencing. I was about to have boy/girl twins through IVF and love being a mom. Now that my twins are almost 3, I'm trying to get a handle on my PCOS. Losing weight seems impossible. The excessive hair is overwhelming. Mood swings, horrible cycles every month. Its just all too much. Does anyone share my feelings and concerns?
