10286987 tn?1410261849 It is important to make sure that this journey is followed up with medical appointments. Find out your grandparents and parents medical history. You are looking for illnesses that can affect you. You also need not to get on FAB diets. Do it right, good eating and exercise. Remember that sometime personal emotional problems create eating disorders. It is your life and you need to be positive and own it.
Avatar m tn I am 22 years old! I am losing hair to the extreme. I can wash or brush my hair and I will pull handfulls of hair out of my head! This is concerning me. I need some help!!
199373 tn?1270487632 I gave birth 2 months ago, and I'm losing weight at a semi-slow pace (I'm breastfeeding so I cannot overdo it). I ordered an elliptical, and plan to workout on it for atleast 30 mins a day. I seem to be losing well in all places but my face and arms. Any advice on how to trim these two areas? Or should I just be patient?
Avatar f tn I was wondering if any of you have successfully lost weight or stayed the same while pregnant. They only thing I plan on doing as far as losing weight is to eat healthy foods and not to overeat like I tend to do and to also excercise. I know if Im prego I shouldnt overdo myself on exercise but light exercise and walking wont hurt! :) I just would like to minimize the chance of getting gestational diabetes or preclampsia while prego! :) Thoughts, opinions, concerns, etc are all welcome!!!
Avatar f tn Muscle doesn't "weigh more". A pound is a pound, whether it's muscle or fat. Muscle is denser than fat, so the pound of muscle takes up less space than the pound of fat. Compare muscle and fat, to rocks and feathers, with the muscle being equal to the rock and fat being equal to the feathers.
Avatar f tn u really shouldn't try to lose weight while pregnant. but if u get bad morning sickness u may not have a choice. try to keep ur weight the same or if it bugs u talk to ur doc. good luck dear!
1149046 tn?1264361586 For your height, you are just about perfect weight. Losing 20 pounds would put almost in the "underweight" category. I would not advise doing that. Here's part of a height/weight chart that applies to YOU.
Avatar f tn Idk your not supposed to lose weight in pregnancy. I mean sOme ppl get really sick and help it but you really shouldn't lose just to lose. You should talk to your doctor about it.
Avatar f tn Internal parasites can prevent a dog from losing weight and they can also cause them to vomit. If she had fleas at any point in her life she could also have a tapeworm. Most wormers only handle the run-of-the-mill internal parasites like roundworm, hookworms, whipworms, etc., and a separate wormer is needed to kill the tapeworm, but there IS a wormer that you can get from your vet called Drontal that will kill all internal parasites INCLUDING the tapeworm.
Avatar f tn Diet aids such as Releana are not the best way to lose weight. While you might lose a considerable amount of weight on it, which might be nice, the chances of gaining it all back, once you go off the med are extremely high. I can't think of anyone I've ever known, who would stick to such a "diet" for any length of time.
Avatar f tn s common for woman who are overweight to lose weight while pregnant..
Avatar f tn Yes it's normal to lose weight while pregnant. I lost weight the first trimester and my doctor didn't worry as long as baby is growing. Just eat healthy and stay active! !
Avatar f tn It's also possible that 166 was not an accurate weight or was due to water weight. Not that gaining 6 lbs in a week is impossible, but it's unlikely. That would require an extra 3000 calories per day. Extra. I doubt you're eating 4500-5000 calories per day. :) More likely, you were closer to 161-162 last week aside from water weight, so the 163 this week is right on target.
29837 tn?1414534648 I saw the primary a week ago regarding this problem. His take, as well as mine, is the result of stopping the dreadful pain medication Oxycodone abruptly, which was prescribed for me after my spinal surgery. As my ideal weight is 185, I now am 173. However, that's one pound more than a week ago. What this means, is that I'm not losing anymore weight, but have gained one pound. This tell me it's a gradual recovery from the withdrawal I'm going through. I know losing 15 lbs.
5147790 tn?1364304489 t that hypothyroidism, insulin resistance or PCOS, all of which can cause weight gain and/or make losing next to impossible. Good luck and keep posting.
Avatar n tn ll plead with you *not* to do, however, is to cut your insulin, create ketoacidosis, and starve yourself into losing weight. Tragically, many young women (moreso than young men) use this dangerous method to lose weight. In doing so, they often cause irreparable organ damage and never do end up "looking" the way they long to.
Avatar f tn With my last pregnancy I only gained 4lbs my whole pregnancy. My lil girl was perfect and healthy. Ill be 30 weeks on Saturday and I've gained 5lbs roughly so far.

11100381 tn?1436779908 I am at week 10, and instead of the morning sickness getting better, it's getting worse. I went from massive fruit cravings, to eating pancakes now and then, to eating portions about half a sandwhich, and now, I can barely eat a piece of toast. I was drinking ensure to make up for what I havn't been eating, but now I can't stomach even that. I feel so hungry and everytime I try to eat, my stomach screams in pain at me and I usually end up throwing it up.
