Avatar f tn I've gained 10lbs and I'm 16 weeks. My doctor only said for me to slow it down. I weigh more than you, I'm also 5'8, not sure how tall you are, but 116 is a low weight. I wouldn't worry about other moms who are loosing weight while pregnant. I've gained weight with all three of my pregnancies, I lost all of it from the first two and will do it again!
Avatar f tn I was wondering if any of you have successfully lost weight or stayed the same while pregnant. They only thing I plan on doing as far as losing weight is to eat healthy foods and not to overeat like I tend to do and to also excercise. I know if Im prego I shouldnt overdo myself on exercise but light exercise and walking wont hurt! :) I just would like to minimize the chance of getting gestational diabetes or preclampsia while prego! :) Thoughts, opinions, concerns, etc are all welcome!!!
Avatar m tn It is stopping me from eating and im losing weight because of it. Its very scary and frustrating, is this the result of anxiety or is it something else? I am NOT allergic to any of the things I am eating and it is not a hypoglycemic issue. Anyone else going through this, anyone find a solution?
Avatar f tn u really shouldn't try to lose weight while pregnant. but if u get bad morning sickness u may not have a choice. try to keep ur weight the same or if it bugs u talk to ur doc. good luck dear!
Avatar m tn Sounds like you are not eating right, which is not going to help you lose weight at al if your body is always in starvation mode. Most diabetic diets should be 45-60 grams of carbohydrate per meal and 15-30 for snacks (usually half of your meal amount).
Avatar f tn Idk your not supposed to lose weight in pregnancy. I mean sOme ppl get really sick and help it but you really shouldn't lose just to lose. You should talk to your doctor about it.
Avatar f tn Diet aids such as Releana are not the best way to lose weight. While you might lose a considerable amount of weight on it, which might be nice, the chances of gaining it all back, once you go off the med are extremely high. I can't think of anyone I've ever known, who would stick to such a "diet" for any length of time.
944604 tn?1283198925 Ok sorry for the shortness of explaination, so here is a longer one. :) I want to the doctors, because I have been excercising, am normally hyper and wasn't losing and sometimes gaining weight. Very frustrating I was having some issues so the doctor took a blood test and discovered after fasting my numbers were a little high, then she told me to cut back on my sugar intake and keep track of my sugar levels.
Avatar f tn s common for woman who are overweight to lose weight while pregnant..
Avatar n tn Body temperature is controlled by your thyroid, which is controlled by your pituitary gland, which is controlled by your hypothalamus...it could be a problem somewhere along this line (and you haven't shown any other symptoms, yet), or it could be something as simple as a viral or bacterial infection. You're sure there are NO other symptoms?...thinning hair? dry skin? losing weight? gaining weight? puffy eyelids? tremoring hands (even when you're not cold)?
Avatar f tn Yes it's normal to lose weight while pregnant. I lost weight the first trimester and my doctor didn't worry as long as baby is growing. Just eat healthy and stay active! !
Avatar f tn It's also possible that 166 was not an accurate weight or was due to water weight. Not that gaining 6 lbs in a week is impossible, but it's unlikely. That would require an extra 3000 calories per day. Extra. I doubt you're eating 4500-5000 calories per day. :) More likely, you were closer to 161-162 last week aside from water weight, so the 163 this week is right on target.
29837 tn?1414534648 I saw the primary a week ago regarding this problem. His take, as well as mine, is the result of stopping the dreadful pain medication Oxycodone abruptly, which was prescribed for me after my spinal surgery. As my ideal weight is 185, I now am 173. However, that's one pound more than a week ago. What this means, is that I'm not losing anymore weight, but have gained one pound. This tell me it's a gradual recovery from the withdrawal I'm going through. I know losing 15 lbs.
5147790 tn?1364304489 t that hypothyroidism, insulin resistance or PCOS, all of which can cause weight gain and/or make losing next to impossible. Good luck and keep posting.
1396598 tn?1283945721 My doc doesnt seem to be worried at all about the blood pressure or my weight. He did say losing a bit would help, but he never said lose weight and then come see me!
Avatar f tn With my last pregnancy I only gained 4lbs my whole pregnancy. My lil girl was perfect and healthy. Ill be 30 weeks on Saturday and I've gained 5lbs roughly so far.
11100381 tn?1436779908 I am at week 10, and instead of the morning sickness getting better, it's getting worse. I went from massive fruit cravings, to eating pancakes now and then, to eating portions about half a sandwhich, and now, I can barely eat a piece of toast. I was drinking ensure to make up for what I havn't been eating, but now I can't stomach even that. I feel so hungry and everytime I try to eat, my stomach screams in pain at me and I usually end up throwing it up.
