Avatar f tn It's also possible that 166 was not an accurate weight or was due to water weight. Not that gaining 6 lbs in a week is impossible, but it's unlikely. That would require an extra 3000 calories per day. Extra. I doubt you're eating 4500-5000 calories per day. :) More likely, you were closer to 161-162 last week aside from water weight, so the 163 this week is right on target.
Avatar f tn Idk your not supposed to lose weight in pregnancy. I mean sOme ppl get really sick and help it but you really shouldn't lose just to lose. You should talk to your doctor about it.
Avatar f tn Diet aids such as Releana are not the best way to lose weight. While you might lose a considerable amount of weight on it, which might be nice, the chances of gaining it all back, once you go off the med are extremely high. I can't think of anyone I've ever known, who would stick to such a "diet" for any length of time.
Avatar n tn safe weight loss is 1- 2 lbs/week or 4-8 lbs/month. Losing too much weight, too quickly is not healthy and often ends with gaining it back... You don't mention how many calories you're eating/day. If you don't eat enough calories/day, your metabolism will actually slow down in order to conserve existing fat stores.
2053729 tn?1330435506 According to what I have researched, my BMR is 2485 and I eat about 1800 calories a day, so I should be losing weight just being me. Add in the approximate 2000 calories I burn with my exercise and I should be melting into a puddle! We do a lot of weights, pilates, abs, pushups, strength bands and squats at my aerobics class so I know my body is changing. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? I have had my thyroid checked in the last 4 months and it was "normal".
3055148 tn?1368211800 t eat until birth (not saying this is your plan lol) baby would just suck nutrients from you and continue to gain weight, but you would be losing your own body weight so it would even out and a scale would make it look like there has been no weight change.
Avatar f tn In the beginning of my pregnancy I lost weight instead of gaining it then when I got to my second trimester I started gaining it

Avatar f tn I was concerned about this too. I'm 20 weeks and finally am gaining weight. Only5 lbs but its something. I would worry to much if your doctor isn't worried.
Avatar f tn Yes it's normal to lose weight while pregnant. I lost weight the first trimester and my doctor didn't worry as long as baby is growing. Just eat healthy and stay active! !
Avatar f tn If you have extra weight on before your pregnant you usually lose weight at the start or stay the same weight which is what happened me, I was losing weight as he.
4193337 tn?1355698372 t stopped eating or anything but I do force myself to drink lots of water and am back to eating tons of fruit. Is this safe that I am losing weight? This is my second pregnancy and I know during the last few weeks you can lose a few but I am still a ways away from that. Any thoughts?
Avatar f tn So my dr told me that I am losing weight today at my appointment. I know its natural in the first trimester but my dr is concerned and says I need to start gaining. Problem is I am never hungry. I eat a small meal at lunch time and feel completely stuffed the rest of the day/night. Anyone have any suggestions?? I'm already high risk, I don't want anything else to happen too!

10913038 tn?1424227711 I lost weight for a while too. Dr always said my weight was fine. I've been gaining a little back the last few weeks, but still not a lot.
Avatar f tn Muscle is your friend... however, make sure your strength training (weight lifting) is utilizing low weight and high repetitions... you most likely do not want to bulk up.
Avatar f tn My doctor wants me to loose weight but its cause I am over weight. I lost 3 ponds but gained it all back plus more. So it depends if you are healthy then you shouldn't loose weight.
