Avatar f tn Has anyone started out overweight and lost weight, healthily, simply by eating healthy and exercising more? I'm honestly obese and want to have the healthiest pregnancy and was curious about the results anyone else got. Thanks.
676912 tn?1332812551 What's ok/not ok to do while BFing? I really would like to start losing all this extra weight, I want to drop 40 lbs. I know it'll take a while, and I'm gonna start a workout routine when I get my ab rocker, BUT I don't know what's ok. I don't want anything I do to affect being able to BF. I'd rather be overweight and BF than be back in my "skinny" jeans. I'm trying to start eating healthier (as I eat pizza, lol), but how much should I be eating a day?
Avatar n tn Gradually increase the amount of food that you are cutting down. Once you are accustomed to eating a smaller amount, try to begin eating a little healthier. While you are getting healthy, it is important to exercise as well. Always check the ingredients, calories, fat, carbohydrates, and vitamins of the food you buy. Do not get frustrated if you do not see results immediately. The goal is to lose weight gradually.

7606649 tn?1392686521 As long as you're eating healthy, I don't see a problem with it. I'm 31 weeks losing weight just by walking and my doc isn't concerned.
11100381 tn?1436779908 I am at week 10, and instead of the morning sickness getting better, it's getting worse. I went from massive fruit cravings, to eating pancakes now and then, to eating portions about half a sandwhich, and now, I can barely eat a piece of toast. I was drinking ensure to make up for what I havn't been eating, but now I can't stomach even that. I feel so hungry and everytime I try to eat, my stomach screams in pain at me and I usually end up throwing it up.
Avatar n tn safe weight loss is 1- 2 lbs/week or 4-8 lbs/month. Losing too much weight, too quickly is not healthy and often ends with gaining it back... You don't mention how many calories you're eating/day. If you don't eat enough calories/day, your metabolism will actually slow down in order to conserve existing fat stores.
Avatar f tn Yes it's normal to lose weight while pregnant. I lost weight the first trimester and my doctor didn't worry as long as baby is growing. Just eat healthy and stay active! !
Avatar f tn It's also possible that 166 was not an accurate weight or was due to water weight. Not that gaining 6 lbs in a week is impossible, but it's unlikely. That would require an extra 3000 calories per day. Extra. I doubt you're eating 4500-5000 calories per day. :) More likely, you were closer to 161-162 last week aside from water weight, so the 163 this week is right on target.
5891248 tn?1406410864 I don't think u should try to lose weight... If ur gaining weight too quickly try changing ur eating habits... When ur pregnant u should never try to lose weight..
Avatar f tn The safest way to lose weight while breastfeeding or any other time is by eating a healthy diet and getting a moderate amount of exercise. Sounds like a lemonade, maple syrup and cayenne pepper diet might be some kind of fad, that isn't good for you any time, let alone while breastfeeding - I suspect that cayenne pepper might come through the breast milk and affect the baby...
10286987 tn?1410261849 Drink 4-5 bottles of water a day and cut out fast food, eating late at night and junk food. that is it for now. Write me in a month and we will do this together OK. Use your Food Journal to log everything you eat, don't lie you will hurt yourself only. Remember you are too young to have this weight and yes it will come off but it's going to take work..... I wish you the best...
Avatar f tn Hi everyone, So, i had my first child almost five years ago. I gained about 65lbs with her. After I had her, I never lost it and ended up gaining more, unfortunately. Since then, I've had two miscarriages. I just recently found out that I am pregnant, only 4.5 weeks along, and I'm very scared that my weight will cause problems. Before I got pregnant this time, I had lost 17lbs just from eating right and squeezing in a workout whenever I had the chance.

Avatar f tn I'm 27 weeks and for the past three weeks I've noticed that I'm losing weight. I lost 2 pounds in two weeks. I now weigh 122 pounds and I'm worried I'm not a healthy weight. I eat a balanced diet andtry to have a snack whenever I feel hungry. What could possibly be wrong with me? Extremely worried.
Avatar f tn I have been dieting and losing weight for a little over a month now and I have been seeing results. My question is that although in the beginning I was not counting calories I noticed today that I wasn't eating very much so I figured up my calories for the day and I came out to about 850, and that's guessing high. I do not want my body to go into starvation mode, but I don't know what to do to get additional calories into my diet.
Avatar f tn Hi hun?
Avatar n tn This i had done by investing a lot of time in the gym and working out and eating a low carbohydrate but a healthy diet. However, i am concerned because i stopped working out or dieting since March 2007 and my weight seemed to remain the same to 56 kilos. I have stopped exercising after that and didnot have the time to diet either but have dropped kilos since last year and this year i am down to 52 kgs. I eat a lot now, do yoga once or twice a week but that is all.
