Avatar f tn I have read about that. Being too skinny or too heavy can affect conception. Honestly though, these are just theories. When trying to have a baby, you feel like the moon and starts have to line up perfectly, don't you? If you feel your weight may hinder pregnancy, I'd try to lose some of it. Add exercise into your daily life and begin cutting calories and eat healthy.
Avatar f tn It depends what your doctor says and how much you weight previous to being pregnant. I lost 15 lbs between conceiving and and 12 weeks pregnant (when I found out) and I am 28 weeks and I have only gained 8lbs back.

Avatar m tn It can also be treated surgically and this procedure is known as drilling. Try losing weight as it helps a lot to normalize menstruation. Try conceiving between 8-21 days of your cycle as it is fertile period. You may also try a pelvic laparoscopy to treat anovualtion if you don`t ovulate. I hope it helps. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
Avatar f tn Losing even 10lb can be enough to regulate your cycle and improve your chances of conception. Additionally, losing weight is important for good pregnancy outcomes and also for the baby--traits like obesity and type 2 diabetes can be transmitted to a child from the mother. Sorry to say so, but diet and exercise is your best answer!
Avatar f tn I'm really not sure what to do, what to try, who to talk to, what to say... I was diagnosed with PCOS about a year ago, and none of my nurses told me until I looked on the paper and saw for myself.... The stuff they tell you and the stuff you read is more than discouraging about Conceiving and losing weight and being normal. I'm close to giving up.
Avatar f tn As far as losing weight, I have pcos as well. I've been eating high protein meals and they're four smaller meals per day. It'll keep you fuller longer, will give you more energy, and help you lose weight. As far as conceiving, I don't have any answers for that. I hope this helps!
Avatar f tn I was wondering if any of you have successfully lost weight or stayed the same while pregnant. They only thing I plan on doing as far as losing weight is to eat healthy foods and not to overeat like I tend to do and to also excercise. I know if Im prego I shouldnt overdo myself on exercise but light exercise and walking wont hurt! :) I just would like to minimize the chance of getting gestational diabetes or preclampsia while prego! :) Thoughts, opinions, concerns, etc are all welcome!!!
Avatar f tn u really shouldn't try to lose weight while pregnant. but if u get bad morning sickness u may not have a choice. try to keep ur weight the same or if it bugs u talk to ur doc. good luck dear!

Avatar f tn s treated adequately, you will have a very hard time losing weight. PCOS will also prevent you from getting pregnant, if not treated. I know when you're busy, it's hard to find time to go to a doctor, but you really need to get treated.
Avatar f tn com/health/pregnancy/phentermine-and-pregnancy#before-pregnancy The big risk is if you were to keep taking it, losing weight and such while trying to nourish your growing baby. So, I am pretty sure all should be fine. DO, please DO talk to your doctor when you start your doctor's visits. They will confirm this. Prenatal care is important! But I think everything from what I've read leans toward not being an issue for your baby that you took phentermine during early pregnancy.
Avatar f tn Idk your not supposed to lose weight in pregnancy. I mean sOme ppl get really sick and help it but you really shouldn't lose just to lose. You should talk to your doctor about it.
Avatar f tn Thank you for your reply, I’ve had all tests apart from the ultrasound scan. Apparently my thyroid is fine, there’s no abnormalities with my testosterone or DHEA. I may have to go back and ask for another lot of tests because I still have no answers.
Avatar f tn Diet aids such as Releana are not the best way to lose weight. While you might lose a considerable amount of weight on it, which might be nice, the chances of gaining it all back, once you go off the med are extremely high. I can't think of anyone I've ever known, who would stick to such a "diet" for any length of time.
Avatar f tn HI, The size of your ovaries is not big, it is within normal limits. For the pain you can take pain killers. Losing weight if you are overweight will help. Periods can be irregular and will need treatment only if they are very much prolonged. Leading a healthy lifestyle, nutritious diet and exercise should help. If later on, you have a problem conceiving then your gynaecologist will be able to help you. Hope this helps.
