And this weight tracker thing says I have to eat around 1200 calories in every day, isn't that a little bit too little? Or is that right? And a side note, I have an injury that doesn't allow me to do any high impact sport, including running, any helpful tips?
Avatar f tn Yes it's normal to lose weight while pregnant. I lost weight the first trimester and my doctor didn't worry as long as baby is growing. Just eat healthy and stay active! !

Avatar n tn I know the feeling. There is always a tomorrow or next week when it comes to proactively losing weight. And if I feel overweight then yes I want the weight gone yesterday. Some advice. Don't drop the weight quickly, this is rarely a long-term solution. If I took time and had the mental discipline I could have lost weight many times over. Do it once, do it right. Issues with weight and body image are taxing (emotionally, physically and financially) and demoralizing.

Did you know it takes about a year for your body to adjust to losing 10 pounds? It's important to remember weight loss is a marathon and not a sprint. In order to lose weight and keep it off, you shouldn't look at it as weight loss but a way to become healthier!

He has never gotten over 23 pounds, but he has dropped both percentage and pounds. We have tried to keep his cup for only at meal times, but he still eats very seldom. And short of actually forcing the food in his mouth, the only veges he will eat is potatoes.

I have a new job and I walk constantly. Today I walked 5 miles just at work. I'm not eating differently but I'm losing weight because of the activity. I know I'm supposed to be gaining weight. I was wondering if anybody had any tips on how to not over gain weight? I'm already 10 lbs over what they wanted me to gain. I don't eat fast food, I only drink water and juice, and I eat as healthy as possible, exercise daily and can't figure out why I'm still gaining so quick.
Avatar f tn I would suggest making an appointment with your family doctor to discuss a realistic weight loss and a possible new food plan to achieve this new realistic goal. Losing 15 lbs in 2 weeks is not realistic and can put your health in jeopardy, big time. I wish you well.
Avatar f tn Losing 10 pounds by Sept 23 is not a reasonable goal, as that's too much weight to lose in such a short time. Most likely the reason you can't stick with a "diet" is because you're cutting your calorie intake too severely. Nobody can stick to a diet in which they don't provide enough food. If you provide adequate calories of healthy foods, chances are you won't have any trouble losing the weight and keeping it off.

Avatar n tn Why do you want to be underweight? If you love sports you most likely have a lot of muscle mas making up your current underweight BMI. Get a fat percentage measurement done and you may find that you should actually worry more about properly nourishing and taking care of your body's needs than losing weight. 1657318 tn?1312172783 Sounds like you are experiencing a "Plateau" phase which the body seems to take a 'rest' from losing weight and you are just staying the same in weight. You could be gaining lean muscle weight from your exercising. Muscle does weight more than fat so the scale may not reflect what is happening to your body. Suggest you continue what you have been doing and measure your body to determine weight loss/toning, not a scale. Thank you for your question.
Avatar f tn I lost 17 pounds in the first trimester im now 2 days shy of 30 weeks and baby was 2 lbs 3 oz last Tuesday, it's ok to not gain or loose weight in the first trimester. Take your vitamins and drink ensure (what I did) don't worry! Everything will be fine!

Avatar f tn Hey ladies this is mysecond pregnancy I had my first when I was 19 and my daughter is beautiful and will be 2 in January with my first pregnancy I gained 85 pounds my former on said there was nothing wrong with it and my new on/ midwifery office says my former on put myself and my baby at risk allowing me to gain so much weight. I still have most of that weight on me.
Avatar f tn Apparently, that type of diet is not agreeable with you. Losing 9 lbs in 9 days very unhealthy. You should try to make changes that you can live with, because fad diets don't last. They aren't meant to be long term and when you go off it and start eating normally again, you'll gain back all the weight.

Avatar n tn I have to agree with evewisewoman, runali. losing too much weight in one go is unhealthy for you and 44 lbs IS too much.so yes, you should go to a doctor first- better yet, do you only want to lose weight or do you have to? think about that. but 2 methods I have tried have got me to lose weight at a relatively fast rate without harming my body. first method is having no more than a certain amount of a certain type of food during a meal.
