I just come from a very heavy meat & potatoes background, as does my husband. Honestly I am not going to ever be perfect about eating everything healthy, but I would like to make a lot of what goes in my mouth beneficial to better health. Avatar m tn When I was going to college, I took a workout class that was actually ROTCs pt class. The group encouragement was amazing!! Try looking into group classes offered by your gym or get a friend with similar goals. The buddy system is such a motivatior. Good luck!

Thats a good idea to allow yourself some sugary snacks twice a week. How about cheese? I hear that cheese is good protein.

I was told I was pre diabetic & that I would almost 100% become type 2 in a few years. Since that shock report I have managed to lose weight & get fit. I am 61 years old & I feel quite well .. Question is just by losing weight & keeping fit would that stop the onset of type 2?
