Avatar f tn You also have to be careful because of your current weight. Too much running at your current weight would put a strain on your heart, your legs, your back. I advise you to make an appointment with your family doctor and see what advice she or he can give you with regards to losing weight safely. Please seek medical advice. You also have to be careful not to lose the weight too quickly as this can cause other health issues for you. Good luck with your new food plan.
Avatar f tn For losing weight the most effective way is to sprint for about 30seconds then jog for 30seconds and keep this going for about half an hour
Avatar f tn Have you tried tracking your calories in the food diary so that you can keep track of everything that you eat? If weight watchers (a very low calorie eating plan) worked in the past, chances are, you are currently eating too many calories and need to cut back on the calories and increase your exercise. As much as I hate to hear it and say it.....it is calories in vs calories out. Maybe consider joining weight watchers again if that has worked in the past. Good Luck!
Avatar f tn Have you thought of keeping a food journal, if even for a couple of weeks, to make sure your getting enough calories and the right kinds of foods? You could also measure yourself to see if your losing inches instead of weight. Don't forget even if you know what your doing your body sometimes takes a little longer to figure it out. Don't stop what your doing.
Avatar f tn I do feel losing 15 kg in 3 months is unrealistic if you plan to do this healthily. I've lost 15 kg but it has taken me 12 months. However, it hasn't been an onerous task, whereas diets I've done in the past have been. This time, I changed my life style as well as my eating habits. I haven't cut out chocolate altogether, and I cut it down gradually (which is why it's taken 12 months). I found that the craving for it dissolved over time, and now I rarely eat it.
Avatar n tn As the first comment correctly stated, losing weight fast doesn't last and leaves you weaker, which you don't want to be if you're getting ready for basic training. Why not wait to join the military until you're ready?
Avatar f tn Honestly, I'm more healthy now than before the pregnancy. I've stayed in the normal range of weight gain and developed better habits. I plan to breastfeed and keep walking and eating well to lose the weight. Also I hear you don't have as much time to eat, so I think it will just happen. I was trying to lose weight before the pregnancy with paleo.
Avatar f tn I have a daily workout plan I found online and plan doing daily cardio on top of that but I really need to drop this weight... its time. Anyone know a good diet plan. It looks like I should be on a 1200 diet. I smoke so running is very hard for me.
Avatar f tn Running fast is better for performance, running far is better for endurance. Just do what you like, both are good exercise, but running fast gets the work done more quickly if time is a factor. For me, I always liked running when I was still able to run and had no desire to get it over with too quickly, but for performance training, sprinting will make you stronger and more athletic overall.
Avatar f tn First if your body is not getting enough foods it can easily go into starvation mode and decide to hold or even gain weight. 1200 calories seems very low, especially given how much you exercise. So maybe you should keep your food around 1300 at minimum? It's hard to know the "sweet" spot that will keep your body healthy while loosing weight, but if you don't find it you will have a really hard time loosing weight.
Avatar f tn I cannot exercise a whole lot do to a medical condition where I suffer from daily headaches and pressure in my head. Losing weight will actually help this condition. Besides my overall health, this is why it is so important that I lose weight. I have lost weight in the past, but always seem to gain it back. I think that I was not eating enough calories. i was staying at about 1000 a day. I lost 70 pounds, but gained it all back plus a lot more.

10286987 tn?1410261849 how do i loose weight. im 14, 5'3" and i weigh 200 lbs. i've been on birth control for almost 2 years and my family's weight is right around 110-130 lbs. what is a good diet or exercise plan or what may be the problem?
Avatar f tn If I find a book I'll let you know because I'm on a mission now! And no, haven't heard about the Living Well with Hypothyroidism. I'm on the waiting list at the library for the Thyroid Solution which I've heard is very informative. But I really want a book written by a medical person explaining how my body is functioning without this gland. And as far as the weight goes, I don't think I'm a good measure of that.
Avatar f tn I still have not gained any weight and I think I am still losing but its not as drsmatic as before, because my weight is staying same even though I've a bump now. Your doctor sounds as though they do not understand HG and the difficulty of it. I was a healthy bmi before pregnancy and while I still am it's now at lower end of the scale. My doctor told me that right now they are not worried as baby is growing on target and I am taking my anti-nausea vitamins.
Avatar n tn I ran my first marathon a month before I got pregnant. My plan is to continue running throughout my pregnancy as long as I can,(which includes running a half-marathon). I'm just curious to know if there have been any other moms out there that can share their stories of running while pregnant. My doctor says it should be fine & that I just need to listen to my body when it starts to hurt.
Avatar m tn m not sure if not having enough protein is contributing to me not losing weight. I hear people talk about how they lose a pound a week and the such, but I've run 5 miles a day for 5 days straight for 1 month and have only lost 1-2 lbs. What am I doing wrong?!
Avatar f tn Losing weight quickly is never good and causes yo yo effects. Regardless to one of the comments earlier swimming is the number 1 best over all total body work out. Have you ever seen a fat swimmer??? No. As for losing 5 lbs in one week that is probably mostly water weight and not actual fat loss. You need to find your calorie maintenance number and shoot to be calorie deficient by no more that 500 to get the body to lose weight healthily.
Avatar n tn I have recently lost a lot of weight and I have struggled with my weight for a long time but there is no quick fix, you need to follow a plan of healthy eating and exercise and I know that is not what you want to hear but losing weight is a life choice and you will need to think about what you eat for the rest of your life as your body has got to be with you for the rest of your life.
2188958 tn?1346444891 I think that was the key to me losing weight, bc as soon as I stopped nursing gained the weight back. My second it took about 6 months to get to my pre-pregnancy weight, and again I stayed skinny until I stopped breastfeeding, then I gained about 15 lbs. With this pregnancy I am much older, and I have gained so much weight already that I doubt I will lose it all very quickly, if at all :/ I plan to work out if I can this time.
