Common Questions and Answers about Losing weight running machine

Avatar f tn First if your body is not getting enough foods it can easily go into starvation mode and decide to hold or even gain weight. 1200 calories seems very low, especially given how much you exercise. So maybe you should keep your food around 1300 at minimum? It's hard to know the "sweet" spot that will keep your body healthy while loosing weight, but if you don't find it you will have a really hard time loosing weight.
Avatar f tn Guess I should have looked to the internet along time ago...I have used my CPAP for 12 or 14 years now...Never had the "oh my goodness...Great relief" that so many people say they have...It has been a struggle at best but...I can not sleep without it ...and since my dad died at 67 years old of a massive heart attack after decades of horrific snoring..I need to learn to use it. I have had a horrible time with my sinus. At first I thought it was related to a new job.

Avatar n tn I am 54 years old and having a difficult time losing weight. During the past 8-9 months, I have not been able to continue my typical exercise regimen due to knee pain and surgery. As a result, I have gained the nine pounds I lost and added 7 more.Approximately two weeks ago, I started to exercise again, managing to workout four days each week, although no change in weight. Any suggestions?

Avatar f tn I would like to drop my weight down to 50 or 55. Is that an unhealthy weight? And this weight tracker thing says I have to eat around 1200 calories in every day, isn't that a little bit too little? Or is that right? Avatar n tn So as far as I now, the more muscle you have, the harder it is to lose the fat, and that's kind of my problem now. As a kid, when I started to take my training seriously, I didn't really lose my fat first. A few years later and I'm pretty muscular (I actually want to lose that, too...), it's really hard for me to lose weight. What kind of exercise should I be doing (that will go along with a diet) that I'll be able to lose weight more effectively?
Avatar m tn m not sure if not having enough protein is contributing to me not losing weight. I hear people talk about how they lose a pound a week and the such, but I've run 5 miles a day for 5 days straight for 1 month and have only lost 1-2 lbs. What am I doing wrong?!
Avatar f tn For losing weight the most effective way is to sprint for about 30seconds then jog for 30seconds and keep this going for about half an hour
Avatar f tn Have you thought of keeping a food journal, if even for a couple of weeks, to make sure your getting enough calories and the right kinds of foods? You could also measure yourself to see if your losing inches instead of weight. Don't forget even if you know what your doing your body sometimes takes a little longer to figure it out. Don't stop what your doing.
Avatar n tn As the first comment correctly stated, losing weight fast doesn't last and leaves you weaker, which you don't want to be if you're getting ready for basic training. Why not wait to join the military until you're ready?
Avatar f tn I realize my weight is a great factor in my overall health. I am losing. I need to drop just 33 more lbs to meet his surgery requirement. But does weight play a factor in the outcome or recovery of bypass surgery ? Seems to me that I should get the surgery asap because that would probably kill me before my weights does.
Avatar m tn I am a 51 year old male, 6'5" 335. I recently made a commitment to losing a goal weight of 75 pounds. I recently had surgery(October) for a torn meniscus on my left knee. A weird injury that I never knew when it happened? Last week I was on the elliptical machine at the gym running my daily 2 miles. However, that night I came home and my knee was very sore. I iced it down and took some motrin.
Avatar m tn Weight training is a key element in weight management. You need muscle to burn calories and as we get older we lose muscle. Look for some type of weight training you can do with your condition; a pilates machine may be something to consider. I have an Aero Pilates machine, a mid-price range one that I found on Craig list used. You can buy these new on QVC also; go to their website and type in Aero Pilates to watch one of their presentations.
Avatar n tn You can also try dancing as it helps in losing wight fast or get weight loss pills followed by these exercise and calorie free diet.
338416 tn?1420045702 I'm kinda irritated about it, actually. It looks like I can't lose weight unless I'm running. Which means that when I have another flare, wham, the pounds come back on. I've got to figure out the foot thing. And the bladder thing. Maybe it's just a stamina problem - as I get in better condition, I'll be safer on the treadmill. Who knows... I'm just going to keep plugging away until I flare up again.
Avatar f tn Last July I was diagnosed sleep apnea mild but found it last month is moderate, not mild. I have the same problem with nose running and sneezing all day for about almost a month now. I got a new ResMed Elite CPAP machine for the very first time end of last July at air pressure 6 then increased to 9 last month that is when it started to cause my nose running and sneezing all day. I have boxes of Kleenex everywhere! Wow! I thought it was allergy, and I took pills but it didn't work.

Avatar m tn I stop breathing an avergae of 40 times an hour. My pressure level is set at 12. Ive been using the machine for about three weeks now. Last week i started to feel pressure in my chest. It feels like i have a 20lb weight sitting on my chest all day. The pressure subsides later in the evening, but in the morning its right back to heavy pressure. They have run EKG's blood pressure tests ( which is running high) and stress tests thinking it could be my heart.
Avatar f tn -running or even fast walking (NO WALKING) for about 30min each day is really helpful (fast walking actually burns alot more calories than running and works you out more) With running or fast walking, make sure you move your arms alot. -50-100squats each day will definitely tone your legs and hips -Horizontal bicycle or situps workout your stomach (I personally find that horizontal bicycles work me out more than situps) Sooo yuup!!
Avatar m tn Can I do any kind of (light) weight training or use a rowing machine after healing up?
