Avatar n tn One of the most effective exercises to lose weight is jogging! Jogging burns more calories than almost all other forms of cardio exercise. Since the formula for weight loss is burning more calories than you consume, jogging can be the ticket. You can lose weight by jogging for 20-minute sessions with a workout plan. Track and record your weight each week to see your progress. Losing 1 to 2 lbs. per week is recognized as being a healthy, sustainable rate of weight loss.
Avatar f tn First if your body is not getting enough foods it can easily go into starvation mode and decide to hold or even gain weight. 1200 calories seems very low, especially given how much you exercise. So maybe you should keep your food around 1300 at minimum? It's hard to know the "sweet" spot that will keep your body healthy while loosing weight, but if you don't find it you will have a really hard time loosing weight.

Avatar n tn Hello- I weight about 275 lbs. I have always been interested in running/jogging as a hobby but A- I have no motivation. and B- I have asthma and even walking up the stairs winds me. I am wondering if anyone has any tips for either obstacle and if anyone has overcome them.
Avatar n tn I have been doing weight watchers for over eight months and I have hit a pleateu, so I started running for 30-45 minutes 5 days a week and instead of losing weight I started gaining weight. Any suggestions?
Avatar f tn ve lost some of your weight. Jogging is a high impact exercise and you have 2 things against you right now. One of them is your weight; that's hard on your shins, ankles and feet to start with. Add to that, the fact that you don't have proper running shoes to cushion the impact (it does make a difference) and you could be in for a lot of trouble down the road.
Avatar m tn Over the past two months I have been walking, jogging and all other types of exercise’s and haven’t been eating as much and avoiding things like bread but gained weight instead of losing it. If someone has any idea’s please write back.
Avatar f tn As far as the physical exercises are concerned best results can be obtained with rotating between various activities like gymming, running/ jogging, yoga, pilates, aerobics, biking, swimming etc. The weight loss would need to be gradual 0.5-2 pound/ week is decent. With gradual consistent efforts, you should be able to lose weight in a healthy way. Hope this helps. Take care!
Avatar f tn Cardio can be aerobics, running, skipping, jogging, swimming, skiing, sports or anything which has complete physical workout. Take care!

Avatar f tn I wish they were smaller and more manageable. Would losing weight resolve this issue? Probably not because like I said they're still big even when I'm thinner. My PCP is a man so I'm embarrassed to bring up this issue with him. Any suggestions?
768251 tn?1256734583 Go for cardio for a period of 45 minutes to 60 minutes regularly as in jogging, running, skipping, swimming, at least 6 times a week and with time you will cut down your weight. Do not worry if you have to lose the extra weight in an year but go in a continuous progressive way for a healthy life ahead. Take care!
4193337 tn?1355698372 im 36 weeks pregnant and still go jogging. Does anyone else? Not sure if I should even still be jogging...
Avatar m tn Hiya, You probably think that losing weight involves hardcore exercise which can be so strenuous and tiring, however even just 15 mins of stationary cycling (for example) can make a big difference long- term. Stationary biking, cycling, running, treadmill, dancing, jogging... There is so much that can be done and is so easy, you can even do them while watching TV or listening to music. 15 mins a day and a healthy diet with slightly smaller portions will make a difference.
Avatar m tn Exercises- walking briskly, jogging a small amount of running, too much running can be bad for you and your bones as your still young and developing. Horse-riding, swimming, karate. even like using a skipping rope or trampolining half an hour a day can make a difference. I would also recommend cutting out or reducing sugary and yummy foods, this will include fizzy drinks, sweets, chocolate, cake, biscuits, crisps.
Avatar n tn So as far as I now, the more muscle you have, the harder it is to lose the fat, and that's kind of my problem now. As a kid, when I started to take my training seriously, I didn't really lose my fat first. A few years later and I'm pretty muscular (I actually want to lose that, too...), it's really hard for me to lose weight. What kind of exercise should I be doing (that will go along with a diet) that I'll be able to lose weight more effectively?
7677085 tn?1395374075 Kudos to you hun! I hate jogging/ running. I'd much rather amp up the height and resistance on the elliptical than run. But I've been too nauseous to keep up with housework let alone work out. I'm hoping when I get over this morning sickness I can start back up with my workouts.
