Avatar f tn The safest way to lose weight while breastfeeding or any other time is by eating a healthy diet and getting a moderate amount of exercise. Sounds like a lemonade, maple syrup and cayenne pepper diet might be some kind of fad, that isn't good for you any time, let alone while breastfeeding - I suspect that cayenne pepper might come through the breast milk and affect the baby...

Avatar f tn Thanks for your response... With everything I have read...They don't recommend that someone go 100% Raw initially, but that they begin to add more RAW & organic foods to their diet... They cut out all processed foods and sugars and replace with non-processed foods... The absence of PROTEIN has been my worry and concern but from what I have read I can transition to being 80% RAW and still eat cooked proteins like, chicken, fish, turkey...
687561 tn?1238400426 I read a great book about it called, The Raw Food Detox Diet by Natalia Rose... she is a nutritionist. Anyways everything is about detoxing your whole body from waste products... cleaning out your cells and your whole system. Your main foods should really be fruit, vegetables, grains and nuts... and raw. It's really good for me because I can't even force myself to eat all the meat and bread and all the cooked foods anyway!
Avatar n tn s keeping you from losing weight. By eating regular meals, you can better incorporate a mix of vegetables, protein, whole grains and healthy fats into your diet. Snacking, typically, ends up being fruit, candy bars, crackers, sandwiches, chips and all the things that aren't so good for you and tend to make you, either, gain or hold onto weight.
Avatar n tn I am new to the site and I just made me firt appointment. I have just one question. To those that are losing weight, are you eating what they told you needed to eat and not eat the foods that they told you to stay away from and losing the weight? I am desparate to lose weight. I am like some others that I have tried every diet I couldn't tell I was losing weight but I did realize that I was hungrey all the time. I would love to find something that work.
Avatar f tn If you are willing to try a restrictive diet try the raw vegan diet. It tastes better, it's more nutritious and you will have a far healtier weightloss. If you have only gained "some weight" it will come off quickly AND all raw vegan food is gluten-free except for sprouted grains and oat recipes. You don't want to mess around with unbalanced diets if you have celiac disease. Read the book by Sarma "Raw Food Real World": http://www.oneluckyduck.com/category-list.php?
1673594 tn?1304013943 I've been losing and gaining my last 15 pounds for a decade, ever since I left my mid 20's. But I've finally found the perfect diet for me. I'm on the raw food diet for 6 weeks now. I lost 6" on my tummy, but I've almost recovered from chronic fatigue. I look much younger! See my profile. I am never going back to yoyo dieting. I am 95% raw and can still eat my favorites, chocolate, pizza, and icecream every week.
Avatar f tn I have done Insanity, the biggest loser, ran quite a few 10ks and half marathons since, I have tried raw food dieting and juicing. I have cut out soda, processed sugars etc. I have reduced myself to what I can grow in my garden and pick up fresh at the grocery store. I am unsure at this point what to do. I know my body was used to working hard during my Marine years and now I cannot dedicate the hours to it, but I feel as though something should have happened by now.
Avatar n tn Hi, I have been on the anti candida diet since November 08. I am doing great and I'm getting better, my food allergies are slowly going away which I am very happy about! The only problem I'm having is losing too much weight. I was 58kg when I started and now I'm 51kg, this is too skinny for me. What can I eat to gain some weight that won't ruin my diet? I am allergic to gluten, dairy, yeast, almonds, psyllium and of course I can't have sugar at the moment.
Avatar n tn It's diet and exercise!!
152660 tn?1291755571 I'm considering starting homemade food diet for the cats and puppy. I know there are a few of you that do your own food so I wanted to ask a few questions. :) Some will be opinions but with the research everyone here has done I probably trust you more than the vet at times. 1. Oliver has Kidney disease and the vet put him on the Science Diet KD food- DRY (I know, I know- I hate science diet and he needs moisture not dry) and he won't eat the canned. All 3 really like that food.

Avatar f tn Suggest improving your eating habits to help lose weight which recommend a Heart Healthy diet which is a moderate fat diet. You need approximately 1500-1800 calories per day which is spread across 3-5 meals a day with snacks between meals. Moderate fat diet means = use polyunsaturated (omega 3, corn oil, nuts, etc) fats and monounsaturated (olive oil, canola oil, peanut oil, etc) fats, no saturated fats (high fat snack foods, butter, fat spreads) and no trans fats.
Avatar f tn Its a protein rich diet that keeps a check on food craving . You can lose upto 2-4 lbs every week with Optifast weight loss program.
Avatar f tn I transitioned from prescription food to limitied diet canned food to homemade, but not raw. My dogs also have allergies/sensitivities. I've found that since they've been on the homemade, their vomiting and diahhrea have all but stopped.
Avatar n tn I am not sure what your target weight is, but it sounds to me that when losing the initial amount you developed a healthier relationship to food and stopped using it to handle stress, so now you are a normal eater, eating when hungry, and your own natural body controls are taking over....if you are at , or getting to, the weight you want, then everything seems okay..
Avatar f tn Losing 10 pounds in a month means losing 2.5 pounds per week. That translates to a calorie deficit of 1250 kcal per day. Assuming your BMR is 1800 kcal. Your daily intake allowance would be 550 kcal. A safe diet would be eating at least 1200 kcal. That means you should do 650 kcal of exercise. Exercising that much would be tough though.
