Avatar f tn Losing 40 pounds in 2 months is pretty much not going to happen, even if you starve. You need to stop and think about what you're doing. Losing weight by any means, other than healthy lifestyle changes will only temporary and will actually put more stress on your heart than it's under now. Avatar f tn That means you'd have to lose 40 lbs in just 3 months; I don't think you can do that safely. Safe weight loss is 1-2 pounds/week. The first thing to do is stop eating all junk food, such as chips, candies, sodas, pastries, white bread and regular pasta, etc. At age 16 your body isn't fully developed, so you have to be careful of losing weight too quickly.

You also have to be careful not to lose the weight too quickly as this can cause other health issues for you. Good luck with your new food plan. I prefer the words " food plan" to the word diet. While it is easier to lose weight initially, I would urge you to make smaller goals of 1-3 pounds a week. At one point in time, I calculated 1.76 ounds a week and believe, on the average, it is now less than that. It has taken me 27 months to lose 152 pounds through nutritional food choices and moderate exercise.

But you can start your weight loss program now and continue it after the wedding, so when something else comes up, you'll be ready for it. Start by giving up sodas, sweets and processed foods... That's the best thing you can do for yourself... Also take a 30 minute walk every day...

Avatar n tn I have never used wellbutrin for weight loss, but I was given a script for it once to help stop smoking. I took it for about 3 months; it didn't help me stop smoking, nor did it help me lose weight. You would need to talk to your doctor about getting off it safely.
