Avatar f tn I'm 52 and any female . I want to lose weight and I've been trying but it is so so hard so it's true after you turn 50 it's hard to lose weight anybody have any suggestions !
Avatar f tn t kill yourself) and no soda, alcohol or cigarette smoking. The key to losing weight (and keeping it off) is to never diet... diets don't last! Changing your life does! Remember, real changes don't happen over night, things on life worth having takes effort, dedication and time. Good luck!
Avatar m tn From your measurements, her weight is between the 50-75th percentile for her age. She has a normal weight for her age. She is not overweight at all. Thank you for your question.
Avatar f tn About 8 years ago I lost 4 stone in 3 months but I have put on the weight again plus more and not been successful in losing weight for more than a month. Recenty I have purchased a set of scales that tells you the level of fat, water, mucile and bone density. The device can only read up to 50% body fat. It cannot tell me my readings as I'm over 50% fat :-( I've checked the device and it is working correctly. So I am now panicing about the effects of my poor living.
Avatar f tn Hey, Im the same age and height as you and so is my best friend. She weighed 84 just over a year ago and now weighs 69. She doesnt exercise much a part from walking the dog but she eats super healthy. Its all about how much you consume and what you are consuming. I started the same healthy eating as she did and have so far lost 3kgs. My current weight is 74 and I want to be 68. For breakfast I have oats or boiled egg, lunch I have a protein and salad and dinner I have a protein and veggies.
Avatar n tn How tall are you? It seems that for your age your weight may be on track. I worry that losing weight may be unhealthy for you. It would depend on your height. Is the want for weight loss for a sport by chance?
Avatar f tn I would like to drop my weight down to 50 or 55. Is that an unhealthy weight? And this weight tracker thing says I have to eat around 1200 calories in every day, isn't that a little bit too little? Or is that right? And a side note, I have an injury that doesn't allow me to do any high impact sport, including running, any helpful tips?
Avatar f tn A lot of first time moms gained alot with first baby. I gained 60ls in total with my first, this is second baby and I have only gained 28lbs! & due in 5 Days. I am also over weight for my size & age. as long as your doctor tells you your ok than dont worry, but watch what you eat, being over weight can cause you to get diabetes! And try to walk alot.
Avatar n tn Why do you say your options at 55 are rather limited? A man can get a vasectomy at any age, and a woman can go on birth control at any age too.
6520484 tn?1399082398 But I still have 20lbs of fat that I put on during the pregnancy. Just wondering if anyone had success in losing the baby weight? I could use some pointers. I already eat healthy and all I drink is water and milk, no juice or pop or anything. I'm too tired to exercise (with Two week old baby and all). Anyone do anything to lose the weight that really worked?
Avatar n tn Why do you want to be underweight? If you love sports you most likely have a lot of muscle mas making up your current underweight BMI. Get a fat percentage measurement done and you may find that you should actually worry more about properly nourishing and taking care of your body's needs than losing weight. Don't hurt yourself, and your body will continue to play sports. Underweight is not good. http://www.nhlbi.nih.gov/guidelines/obesity/BMI/bmicalc.
Avatar f tn I'm about 13 weeks and keep losing weight. Not sure why. I eat, but i know I'm not getting the calories I need. I eat a lot of fruits and vegetables mostly because that's what's sounds good. I'm also eating a lot of protein too. Anyone else experienced weight loss?
Avatar f tn Losing 10 pounds by Sept 23 is not a reasonable goal, as that's too much weight to lose in such a short time. Most likely the reason you can't stick with a "diet" is because you're cutting your calorie intake too severely. Nobody can stick to a diet in which they don't provide enough food. If you provide adequate calories of healthy foods, chances are you won't have any trouble losing the weight and keeping it off.
Avatar f tn I have a short haired dachshund that we adopted over a year ago. His age was unknown, but he looks to be grown, but fairly young. He has done really well, and I try to feed the best foods. Within the past two months he has taken to drinking a huge amount of water (about a gallon a day) and eats well, but has lost an awful lot of weight. He was really really heavy before, but now his ribs are visible. He runs around and looks happy and healthy except for the weight loss.
Avatar f tn You need to calculate your actual calorie needs/day, based on your current height, weight, age and activity level, rather than pick an arbitrary figure to go by. In reality for someone your size you need closer to 2000 calories/day to maintain your current weight. To lose, you can drop as low as 1500-1700, but you shouldn't go below that, until you've lost some weight, then as you lose, you will naturally need less calories to maintain your weight.
Avatar f tn On your info, it said you were 50. Some ladies of that age group really need the boost in vitamin B-12 to continue to see results with the hcg. I would recommend you get hydroxycobalamin or methylcobalamin over the cheaper and more available cyanocobalamin. The hydroxy is normally a once a week shot, but I think the methyl can be given twice a week. This should also help with your energy. If that is not possible, you can try over the counter b-12 supplements.
Avatar f tn The problem I have is, over Christmas I put on around 10 pounds, and am now absolutely unable to shift it at all. I have never had any problem losing the weight once I put my mind to it but it doesn’t matter what I do I just can’t seem to shift it at all.
Avatar n tn As the first comment correctly stated, losing weight fast doesn't last and leaves you weaker, which you don't want to be if you're getting ready for basic training. Why not wait to join the military until you're ready?
Avatar n tn They said my TSH was at 5. which is odd as I am losing weight. As a matter of fact....too much. In one years time almost 50 pounds and in this past month 5 pounds. I think that losing weight is fine "Great" being after the thyroidectomy for an incidental papillary cancer seemed to keep weight on me for 4 years however....My legs feel very heavy from the theighs to the calves and some days feels difficult to walk.
Avatar f tn Yes, kinda stupid question and I know both are bad but if you could choose for me to be over weight (say 40-50 pounds overweight) or underweight (like 10 pounds under) and no inbetween choose what would you rather do. I'm not going to do anything bit just wodering. I know I can't keep a stable weight and I'm either over weight or underweight. So I'm thinking that going back and forth is way worse than just staying at one place. So what would be the best?
Avatar f tn So, stabilize your diet for a month and see if you are losing weight or not. If you are not losing weight, then consult a doctor to rule out anemia, diabetes, hypothyroidism and polycystic ovaries. If you have any of these problems, which can start at any age, then you will find it difficult to shed weight. Please discuss with your doctor. Take care! The medical advice given should not be considered a substitute for medical care provided by a doctor who can examine you.
Avatar n tn First, if you're at all muscular, you're not all that overweight. If you're not muscular, you don't need to lose a ton of weight. Calories aren't key to losing weight -- how quickly and efficiently you metabolize your food into sugar and how well you digest your nutrients is far more important.
1467664 tn?1288579313 m 5/5)and at one point was 81 pounds(yuck) I lookwd gross and felt worse.but in answer to losing weight the healthy way and not only am I a type 1 I also am a personal trainer.Timing meals ,excercise and insulin are important.Cutting out carb stotally is not a good idea because your body does need the enrgy especially when you are workinh out.Not sure what dose you are on but once you start a workout plan you will see your needs decrease .
Avatar f tn My 13 month old is still above normal on the percentiles but she is losing weight. She grew rapidly and was off the charts until 11 months. Her height increases rapidly but her weight has been dropping. She is very active so I figured she would drop some weight and everything would be ok. At what point should I worry about the lose of weight? Is it what I am feeding her? Is her diet of fruits and veggies not providing enough calories?
Avatar m tn Hi there, It started back in March when I decided to do something about my weight, which was 202lb at the time. Since I started losing weight, I've been spotting every month around ovulation time. Sometimes it's barely noticeable if I'm having an off diet day, just a few specks on the toilet paper but other times it gets a little worse.
