Avatar f tn Is anyone else losing weight? I am 38, 23 weeks along and overweight. My first 12 weeks I was very nauseous, but tried eating small amounts often so baby got adequate nutrition. Well I am not sick anymore and I am still losing. 14 pounds so far. The baby is very active, I just want to know if anyone else is experiencing this.
Avatar n tn t think this is the right forum for you - the first step would be to talk to your parents about your goals, and then your pediatrician. Short term weight loss is never a good long term goal, especially when you are still growing.
Avatar f tn Idk your not supposed to lose weight in pregnancy. I mean sOme ppl get really sick and help it but you really shouldn't lose just to lose. You should talk to your doctor about it.
Avatar f tn You never want to intentionally lose weight, but women might in the first trimester due to nausea/vomiting. Depending on how sick you are you could lose 10-20 pounds. I myself lost 25 pounds while pregnant with my daughter. Just try to make sure you're keeping yourself hydrated.
Avatar f tn Ive lost 3 lbs. I have no morning sickness yet. Mine is just from eating really healthy and chasing my 8 months old around now that she is crawling. As long as you are eating healthy when you can get food down you should be fine. :) I would still bring it up at your first appt so they can monitor you! Congrats tho!
Avatar n tn Why do you want to be underweight? If you love sports you most likely have a lot of muscle mas making up your current underweight BMI. Get a fat percentage measurement done and you may find that you should actually worry more about properly nourishing and taking care of your body's needs than losing weight. Don't hurt yourself, and your body will continue to play sports. Underweight is not good. http://www.nhlbi.nih.gov/guidelines/obesity/BMI/bmicalc.
Avatar f tn I'm 15 weeks and haven't put on weight, but lost 5lbs. As long as your doctor isn't worried, you're good.
Avatar f tn If you have extra weight on before your pregnant you usually lose weight at the start or stay the same weight which is what happened me, I was losing weight as he.
Avatar f tn Have you tried taking Vitamin B6? My midwife recommended this but I didn't have morning sickness nearly as bad as you. Tried to stay hydrated, you may be lightheaded because you're not getting enough fluids.
Avatar f tn I have also lost 3 inches around my bust but gained 2 inches around my baby bump within the last 2 weeks! I am plus size so losing weight is exciting but is it NORMAL!? I feel fantastic no more morning sickness. So where is it going?
Avatar f tn Our bodies are made to survive, and when you skip meals your are burning your fat and losing weight. But the next time you do eat you are more likely to overeat and since your body doesn't know when it's gonna get its next meal it stores all of the energy you took in as fat.
Avatar f tn So my dr told me that I am losing weight today at my appointment. I know its natural in the first trimester but my dr is concerned and says I need to start gaining. Problem is I am never hungry. I eat a small meal at lunch time and feel completely stuffed the rest of the day/night. Anyone have any suggestions?? I'm already high risk, I don't want anything else to happen too!
Avatar n tn I know the feeling. There is always a tomorrow or next week when it comes to proactively losing weight. And if I feel overweight then yes I want the weight gone yesterday. Some advice. Don't drop the weight quickly, this is rarely a long-term solution. If I took time and had the mental discipline I could have lost weight many times over. Do it once, do it right. Issues with weight and body image are taxing (emotionally, physically and financially) and demoralizing.
Avatar f tn I thought pregnancy was ALL about gaining not losing weight...anywho this is my third pregnancy and its never happened before.
Avatar n tn You'd actually be better off to eat regular, healthy meals, instead of doing all the constant snacking, which is probably what's keeping you from losing weight. By eating regular meals, you can better incorporate a mix of vegetables, protein, whole grains and healthy fats into your diet. Snacking, typically, ends up being fruit, candy bars, crackers, sandwiches, chips and all the things that aren't so good for you and tend to make you, either, gain or hold onto weight.
