1961938 tn?1398718101 I am in a weight loss group from before I was pregnant. I'm only still in it because its paid up for another year and I am the assistant weight recorder in it. Of course I have a doctors note saying I'm pregnant and can't be losing lots of weight so my weight doesn't help or hurt the group. Anyways, my sister is in the group as well, as the official weight recorder. She is on my case about my weight constantly!
Avatar f tn I agree with you! I am having a very hard time eating...this is my first pregnancy and I'm 35 weeks....

You may lose weight naturally as baby takes up some of the excess calories you were consuming. I'd consider yourself weight neutral right now and just eat healthy with proper portion control and not worry about the end result of your weight.

Avatar n tn You will naturally fluctuate in weight. You're calories in and calories out will change depending on your day to to day to begin with. Water weight will also effect your weight. High sodium will cause you to hold water. Don't quote me but I believe that 40 milligrams of sodium will cause your body to hold 1 pound of water. Also depending on when you weigh yourself will effect your fluctuation in weight.
Avatar f tn Losing 10 pounds in a month means losing 2.5 pounds per week. That translates to a calorie deficit of 1250 kcal per day. Assuming your BMR is 1800 kcal. Your daily intake allowance would be 550 kcal. A safe diet would be eating at least 1200 kcal. That means you should do 650 kcal of exercise. Exercising that much would be tough though.

Avatar f tn It's usually water weight, which is normal. It can fluctuate a lot. Unless your Dr is concerned, I would not worry about your weight. Just eat healthy and take the prenatals.
Avatar n tn Most people can improve the quality of the food they eat and lose weight. The first thing to do is switch from soft drinks to water. Soda should be a rare treat once or twice a month, not every day. Avoid fast food and eat home-cooked, well-balance meals focusing on a variety of vegetables as well as poultry, fish, and lean meats. Whole fruits are fine, and better than juices because they have more fiber you need. Don't fry food. Use healthier methods and healthy oils.
