Common Questions and Answers about Losing weight jillian michaels

losing-weight

Avatar n tn Iys not recommend to lose weight too fast. I think its like 2-4lbs a week. Losing weight you need to do it in a very specific way as if you use those "lose weight fast" its hard to keep it. I would talk to your dr and see a person to help with diets and you can find lots of fun activities to lose weight. Remember a lot of people lose weight fast at the beginning but then slows down.
Avatar m tn Jillian michaels is the best!!!! And in combination with calorie counting best way to do it!!!!
Avatar f tn Not sure about pregnancy weight ftm.
Avatar m tn Third week lost 2lbs. I did Jenny Craig 9 years ago and had no issues losing weight in fact I was losing approx 2lbs per week and lost 40lb in 6months. So I can't help but feel discouraged because I don't know what I'm doing wrong, I follow the menu planned out for me during the week by Jenny Craig, and exercise religiously, what do you think is going on, why am i not losing as much as i would like?
Avatar f tn I eat small portions also. I mainly workout with videos and stuff like Jillian Michaels. Can anyone make suggestions in my routines?
Avatar f tn Instead of cutting all pastas, why not switch to whole grain versions, which are much healthier, and limit portions? You should also switch to whole grain breads. Don't cut out meats; they're a major source of iron and vitamin B12, both of which are essential for providing energy. Make sure you opt for leaner (low fat) cuts and stick to smaller portions. Opt for chicken or fish, as much as you like; just make sure it's grilled, broiled, or baked vs fried.
Avatar f tn I know many of you, like myself, have looked far and wide to have this thyroid stuff explained in a manner that makes sense. Well, I am reading Jillian Michaels "Master Your Metabolism" and I can't say enough great things about this book. She explains it all in a way that is so understandable. Not just about thyroid hormones but adrenal fatigue and all of the hormones that make up our endocrine system.
Avatar f tn I too have the same problem and I am also trying to lose weight. First and foremost is changing your eating habits. Eat healthier, have your 3 meals and snack on healthy snacks like almonds, raw veggies, fruits, yogurt... every 2 to 3 hours to keep your metabolism up. Try keeping a food diary, I suggest using the app My Fitness Pal to track calories and exercise. Start off with easier exercise programs. Try an hour a day. Cardio will help get your heart rate up but don't over do it.
Avatar f tn There is no guarantee that you will have no loose skin at all, but slow, steady weight loss from exercise and a healthy diet (nothing extreme) is your best option. Losing the weight slowly gives your skin time to regain it's elasticity. Exercise helps you tone up as well which again should help the skin tighten. I'm no expert, this is just what I've read! But I do wish you all the best and hope it works out for you!
Avatar f tn Tweaking your diet and getting at least 20-30 mins of cardio will also help shed fat there eventually because you cant spot check fat. It has to leave in the order it came for the most part but weight training those areas can help build muscle which in turn aids in burning fat.
Avatar n tn Have you tried the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred? If not then you should give a go its only 10$ at the store and it WORKS!! I plateaued after getting halfway and losing 10 lbs and as soon as i started it the scale starting moving and the tape measure even decided to be my friend!! LOL!!
Avatar f tn Hi Kim, If your levels are truly where they should be, you should not be gaining weight if you are eating correctly. Diet is the biggest factor in weight loss, and exercise helps out a lot too. I'm reading a great book by Jillian Michaels - Master Your Metabolism. I haven't completed it yet, but it seems good so far. Also, there's another book I've read which was very informative and helpful. It's named The Thyroid Diet by Mary J Shomon.
583580 tn?1231136383 I was just wondering if anyone has ever tried those online programs for diet and exercise tips? I get an online newsletter for the Jillian Michaels Online Program (coach from the biggest loser) and right now she is offering a one week free deal (its regularly $4 a week). I'm hesitant because what can she really do for me over the internet.
649848 tn?1534633700 I enjoy the Jillian Micheals DVDs (ie. 30 day shred, shred it with weights and 6 week six pack). I work long shifts 4 days a week so i can usually get in a workout 3 maybe 4 days a week. Its worked for my weight loss and I really enjoy exercising at home. Great cardio and gives you a good burn!
Avatar m tn lets all try to have a good day!.......dont make me send jillian michaels over to your house!!!!

Avatar n tn keep an HONEST food diary for a week - write down EVERYTHING you eat and figure out the calories (knowing the protein would be helpful as well). Then come up with a sensible eating plan - not a diet! Diets make you fat, in the long run. Weight watchers is sensible. Or go to a registered dietician after you do your food diary for a week or two and get a consultation. They will tell you what you need to do, if anything. Health and fitness are the only things that matter.
684175 tn?1295477838 t get to touch it until Christmas. Hopefully there will be a wii fit for me under the tree as well. Hoping to get the Jillian Michaels workout as well. Looks interesting. Going to the gym after I get off of work. Thats the plan. The bed is really trying to tempt me, but I really need to get my workout in. Then errands, then sleep and work another 12 hours tonight. It never ends. LOL!
10156295 tn?1408171838 I used to weigh 220lbs. I started exercising with Jillian Michaels 4 years ago, and last year not only do I do that I also have a personal trainer. I can run 3, probably more, miles. I exercise 5 days a week. I struggle with the dieting, as I grew up on fast food and I do not understand dieting and have lost patience with trying to learn. I don't understand carbs, calories, whatever.
Avatar f tn A friend told me to try Master Your Metabolism by Jillian Michaels, so I started reading it. Many things in the book make complete sense so I am going to try her plan starting this week. The basic premise is to each as much natural and fresh food as possible and avoid anything boxed or loaded with preservatives. I've also started to increase my exercise (was doing 3-4 days of cardio and I'm bumping up to 5 with increased distances). Hopefully, the combo of those two things work.
Avatar f tn Well I am positive now that it is due to Depo. In January I started the Jillian Michaels Ripped in 30 and was religious about it. I actually gained weight do to muscle but was so disappointed! I should have had a six pack and instead my stomach looked like I was 4 months pregnant. My boobs are so extremely tender all the time too. I've always had a wonderful metabolism and have always been active. I am 5'4" and since highschool my weight has always been a constant 110-115.
Avatar f tn thanks for your answers ladies...actually I started doing 30 days shred with jillian michaels from yesterday...then suddenly it occurred to me that it must not be appropriate to do those exercises if I have conceived....I really need to drop some lbs as I have a dance recital in April...
Avatar f tn I am doing the Jillian Michaels pogram. I do weight resistant, aerobic, high impact circuits for 20 minutes 4 days a week. Then I do a high impact kickboxing aerobic workout for 30 minutes once a week. I take two days off a week to let my muscles rest. My workouts burn 500+ calories. I even make sure my heartrate is with in the 70-80% range the entrie time through my workouts to obtain that. I am 5'9", 190lbs female.
443968 tn?1288612689 endorsing quicktrim. i also glanced over a box of the new Jillian Michaels (biggest loser trainer) weight loss starter pack or something...it was tempting because i guess id trust jillian michaels over a kardashian, ha ha, but any weight loss pill makes me nervous. i put the box down, picked it back up, and then put it down again! ha.

395769 tn?1318449682 I've been really enjoying this workout video from Jillian Michaels called the 30 day shred. I'm 4 weeks pregnant and because of a past miscarriage paranoid about continuing my usual workout. It consists of a mix of cadio strength training and ab workout for a 20minute non stop work out. Do you all think it is safe to continue ?? Am I being paranoid?? I don't have an appointment until next week.
1666434 tn?1325262350 Hi everyone :) This will be great motivation for myself to finish losing my weight! I am a mommy of b/g twins who are almost 8 months old (born December 24, 2010). I had them at 32 weeks 5 days and when they were born had gained 40 lbs. I have lost it all but 5 lbs, but still have a little "pooch" if you will. I've been on myself to get back into shape, but really my motivation was severely lacking. With new babies it's rough & with twins is twice the craziness.
4614494 tn?1368356385 I really had to push hard today to do a jillian michaels video. Lol. Lil B!! Makes u wanna punch her out sometimes. In a good way. Ha. This is such an up and down experience!! I feel fine right now. But my goodness was getting an anxiety attack for lunch. until I finally posted on the forum. Hmmm I guess u could say I'm addicted to this forum and u guys. Lol. I always seem to trade 1 addiction for another. Ha. I think this ones ok tho.
1457025 tn?1290023640 I was tol by my NS that any high-impact exercise or bouncing would aggravate the CM...which, coincidentally, is what brought the symptoms to the forefront...I'd been training for a 10K and had been following the Jillian Michaels boot camp (lots of bouncing). So, I am looking to go the route of low-impact (walking, elliptical, etc)...The few times I decided to run (before official CM dx), I got popping in my head/neck and pain...
