Avatar f tn That's to much in a short period of time. That's dangerous. Better for u to have that goal for next September_ the start of the new school year. That would give u 8 months to work at it. N u would look health skinny and not the sick skinny you get when fat is lost to quickly. I was 210 and I lost 40 pounds in 6 months.

I went from massive fruit cravings, to eating pancakes now and then, to eating portions about half a sandwhich, and now, I can barely eat a piece of toast. I was drinking ensure to make up for what I havn't been eating, but now I can't stomach even that. I feel so hungry and everytime I try to eat, my stomach screams in pain at me and I usually end up throwing it up.
Avatar f tn Hi Meggiemariee, I just read your comments. It's already April 23rd. You say your average weight loss is about five pounds. That's an awful lot in one week, Meggiemariee. Instead of putting that kind of pressure on yourself, i.e. your goal of losing 24 lbs by the end of may or early June. That's too much weight in such a short period of time. I would not advise it.

Avatar n tn I'm sure that's true. But since Hollywood stars are nutty anyways, anything they say or do should be ignored. Any legitimate source will tell you: Never take thyroid meds for the purpose of losing weight. Not only is it ineffective, it can be dangerous.

The now weight of 175 lbs. is a loss of 17 lbs. in less than 3 weeks after leaving the hospital. Funny thing is, my appetite is ravenous, my blood tests all came beck fine last week, as well as still cleared of Hep C. My energy level is normal I've heard somewhere that because muscle weighs, it has to be taken into consideration when weighing someone.
Avatar f tn Hello there, It would be really dangerous to you to lose that much weight, ie 15 lbs in 2 weeks. A good amount of weight is about 2 lbs per week. The middle of August is about 4 weeks away. Even in 4 weeks, unless you go on what I would call a drastic diet or a starvation diet which would probably put your body in shock, you can't lose 15 lbs in a healthy way. Some people might think that if you drastically reduce your calorie intake, the weight will just fall off you. This is not true.
2053729 tn?1330435506 According to what I have researched, my BMR is 2485 and I eat about 1800 calories a day, so I should be losing weight just being me. Add in the approximate 2000 calories I burn with my exercise and I should be melting into a puddle! We do a lot of weights, pilates, abs, pushups, strength bands and squats at my aerobics class so I know my body is changing. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? I have had my thyroid checked in the last 4 months and it was "normal".

Avatar f tn I have changed my diet as in replacing hamburger with ground turkey and eating fish and chicken with steamed veggies and have some fruit for breakfast with a non fat Greek yogurt I am working out I walk for 40-60 minutes five days a week and every other day do abdominal arm and legs for 45 minutes..

Avatar n tn If you're really losing and not gaining back you must be so thin. It's normal for the body to increase a few pounds before a lot of times because we crave salt which retains water in the body. During a period many bloat adding weight then when it's done that water weight, blood and bloat go down. I fluctuate 5 lbs or so. I have an irregular period so seeing a few pounds go on is sometimes a clue for me that I'm going to start soon.
Avatar n tn Its also normal to put on a little weight at this stage, If you want to look good then embrace this and keep up the sports, Focus on fitness not weight. if you do will find that weight to be the right shape and in the right places. If you try to hold on to your childhood figure you may end up looking very unhealthy despite being thin.
