Avatar n tn Ramadan rituals can make it hard to lose weight during this holiday, so you'll have to go your own way during the holiday to make it work for you instead of against you. Most of those observing this holiday don't eat less, they eat more because eating is such an important part of the holiday, and they compress this eating into a shorter period of time than they would usually. While you fast during the day, most then stuff themselves in celebrations after dark and before daylight.
Avatar f tn Ramadan mubarak for all I have been fasting this day I feel fine and happy hope continue with the same level This my first ramadan pregnant
Avatar n tn Let's see a 10 yr old cat that's losing weight and losing hair. This, to me, sounds like your cat has an overactive thyroid. Try doing a google search or yahoo search on hyperthyroidism and see if the symptoms fit. There's also a possiblility of kidney disease, as well. That could cause weight loss, too, but not hair loss. My main suspicion is hyperthyroid disease. This can be extremely dangerous because the heart rate increases big time. This can cause heart failure.

8574772 tn?1403805320 For those of you that don't know ramadan is something muslims observe. For 30 days you cannot eat or drink between sunrise and sunset. It starts this weekend. My husband will be observing ramadan but I won't as im 6 months pregnant (pregnant women are exempt for obvious reasons) however I was talking to some of the women from my husbands side of the family and they were saying how they still did ramadan even though they were pregnant.

1028452 tn?1537448484 This year the period of Fasting month ( Ramadan Month ( Fasting Arabic month)) will be in the middle of summer ( because Arabic year is 355 days, therefore Ramadan moves by 10 days among the seasons) which will be so hard. I used to fast but these days I am drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day and I don't believe not drinking water from sun set to sun down would be helpful to my health during Ramadan. So with God's permeation I won't fast during this this summer.
5727805 tn?1378193052 I am glad that you are not going to fast that would be so hard on your body and your babies. I am not Muslim but I grew up in Saudi Arabia and remember everyone else fasting during Ramadan. I hope that you will not be looked down on for not fasting.
163305 tn?1333668571 ” For Asmahan Ramadan, whose family owned land and engaged in traditional agriculture in their original Palestinian village, Zakaria, near Jerusalem, the experience of rooftop gardening has made her feel more connected to her family’s past. “It gives me a connection to the land. My family was farmers and I’ve come back to my roots,” said Ramadan, who was born in the Dheisheh refugee camp. “It gives me the feeling like I’m sitting in a big field. This is my big field.

1225178 tn?1318980604 I didn't think I'd make it, and I am sure I wouldn't have been able to hang in there with just the info that I got at my doctor's office, but I will be taking my last shot tonight. I made it because of this forum. Knowing what to expect before it hit, and having people who knew what I was talking about made the rough spots a lot easier to bear. Thank you everybody for being there for me all of this time. Sorry I haven't been so active lately...

Avatar n tn Hi there, Hope you are doing well. A good dietary regime and exercises all will be helpful in losing weight. Losing weight in a healthy way is important for maintaining the glow of your skin. Eat lots of fruits, dark green leafy vegetables, fruits and consume less of potato, sweetened and processed foods. Start your day by drinking lemon juice in warm water. Have fruits with lots of vitamin C in breakfast that will help you cut fats as vitamin C is a fat burner.
Avatar f tn Hello there, It would be really dangerous to you to lose that much weight, ie 15 lbs in 2 weeks. A good amount of weight is about 2 lbs per week. The middle of August is about 4 weeks away. Even in 4 weeks, unless you go on what I would call a drastic diet or a starvation diet which would probably put your body in shock, you can't lose 15 lbs in a healthy way. Some people might think that if you drastically reduce your calorie intake, the weight will just fall off you. This is not true.
Avatar f tn I cannot exercise a whole lot do to a medical condition where I suffer from daily headaches and pressure in my head. Losing weight will actually help this condition. Besides my overall health, this is why it is so important that I lose weight. I have lost weight in the past, but always seem to gain it back. I think that I was not eating enough calories. i was staying at about 1000 a day. I lost 70 pounds, but gained it all back plus a lot more.
