Common Questions and Answers about Losing weight in ramadan yahoo

Avatar n tn Ramadan rituals can make it hard to lose weight during this holiday, so you'll have to go your own way during the holiday to make it work for you instead of against you. Most of those observing this holiday don't eat less, they eat more because eating is such an important part of the holiday, and they compress this eating into a shorter period of time than they would usually. While you fast during the day, most then stuff themselves in celebrations after dark and before daylight.

Avatar n tn Let's see a 10 yr old cat that's losing weight and losing hair. This, to me, sounds like your cat has an overactive thyroid. Try doing a google search or yahoo search on hyperthyroidism and see if the symptoms fit. There's also a possiblility of kidney disease, as well. That could cause weight loss, too, but not hair loss. My main suspicion is hyperthyroid disease. This can be extremely dangerous because the heart rate increases big time. This can cause heart failure.
4500180 tn?1360087130 GillyJay, you might want to consider joining the K-9 kidney diet group on yahoo. The moderators in the group are amazingly knowledgeable about all aspects of canine renal disease. As I understand it, while there is no cure for chronic kidney failure, there is a lot that can be done - mostly through diet - that can extend your dogs life and more importantly, the quality of the time he has left.

5727805 tn?1378193052 I am glad that you are not going to fast that would be so hard on your body and your babies. I am not Muslim but I grew up in Saudi Arabia and remember everyone else fasting during Ramadan. I hope that you will not be looked down on for not fasting.
1028452 tn?1537448484 This year the period of Fasting month ( Ramadan Month ( Fasting Arabic month)) will be in the middle of summer ( because Arabic year is 355 days, therefore Ramadan moves by 10 days among the seasons) which will be so hard. I used to fast but these days I am drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day and I don't believe not drinking water from sun set to sun down would be helpful to my health during Ramadan. So with God's permeation I won't fast during this this summer.

Avatar m tn Hello! I have been fasting for the month of ramadan for a few days now and have been experiencing light burning sensations starting above my belly button and now in the region below it. Last night, after I broke my fast I ate a large meal, and my condition was worsened a bit. The pain is not bad, it's just a very annoying nagging feeling, as if I have just eaten a very hot or spicy meal.

1225178 tn?1318980604 I didn't think I'd make it, and I am sure I wouldn't have been able to hang in there with just the info that I got at my doctor's office, but I will be taking my last shot tonight. I made it because of this forum. Knowing what to expect before it hit, and having people who knew what I was talking about made the rough spots a lot easier to bear. Thank you everybody for being there for me all of this time. Sorry I haven't been so active lately...

Avatar n tn I am 9 weeks pregnant and this is my first pregnancy and instead of gaining weight I am losing weight. I haven't had any nausea or vomiting in the past 2 days but I am still losing weight. I am scared that this could affect my baby. Is there something wrong or is this normal ?
Avatar f tn My average healthy weight is 60kg and I'm 161cm tall, now I'm 75kg which is overweight. I just finished the 3rd month yesterday. Is there a way to lose weight without hurting the baby? Cuz it's not healthy for me to stay in this weight while I'll gain 12kg more while pregnancy. Nothing hard or hurtful, walking is hard here since I'm in saudi Arabia and the heat reach 40c. I'm looking for healthy diet that won't hurt the baby if I do it.
