11100381 tn?1436779908 I am at week 10, and instead of the morning sickness getting better, it's getting worse. I went from massive fruit cravings, to eating pancakes now and then, to eating portions about half a sandwhich, and now, I can barely eat a piece of toast. I was drinking ensure to make up for what I havn't been eating, but now I can't stomach even that. I feel so hungry and everytime I try to eat, my stomach screams in pain at me and I usually end up throwing it up.
Avatar f tn yes, i agreed with the post above. losing weight is a combination of diet and exercise. you can't have one without the other. and definitely, do not skip any meals. that's a big no-no. make sure the food you're eating are healthy options such as lean meats, whole wheat, good fats (low-fat), and lots of fruits and veggies. remember, to lose 1 pound, you must burn or get rid of 3500 calories. it's recommended that a healthy weight loss is 1-2 pounds a week.
Avatar f tn Losing 10 pounds in a month means losing 2.5 pounds per week. That translates to a calorie deficit of 1250 kcal per day. Assuming your BMR is 1800 kcal. Your daily intake allowance would be 550 kcal. A safe diet would be eating at least 1200 kcal. That means you should do 650 kcal of exercise. Exercising that much would be tough though.
Avatar n tn I'm trying to join the air force but I'm 10lbs over the limit. To lose weight I started doing 2 hours of cardio one in the morning one at night. At first I started losing but after 2 week I'm gaining what cardio should I do to lose weight without muscles?
Avatar f tn If you have extra weight on before your pregnant you usually lose weight at the start or stay the same weight which is what happened me, I was losing weight as he.
Avatar n tn I know the feeling. There is always a tomorrow or next week when it comes to proactively losing weight. And if I feel overweight then yes I want the weight gone yesterday. Some advice. Don't drop the weight quickly, this is rarely a long-term solution. If I took time and had the mental discipline I could have lost weight many times over. Do it once, do it right. Issues with weight and body image are taxing (emotionally, physically and financially) and demoralizing.
Avatar f tn Hello there, It would be really dangerous to you to lose that much weight, ie 15 lbs in 2 weeks. A good amount of weight is about 2 lbs per week. The middle of August is about 4 weeks away. Even in 4 weeks, unless you go on what I would call a drastic diet or a starvation diet which would probably put your body in shock, you can't lose 15 lbs in a healthy way. Some people might think that if you drastically reduce your calorie intake, the weight will just fall off you. This is not true.
Avatar n tn Approximately two weeks ago, I started to exercise again, managing to workout four days each week, although no change in weight. Any suggestions?
Avatar f tn It's also possible that 166 was not an accurate weight or was due to water weight. Not that gaining 6 lbs in a week is impossible, but it's unlikely. That would require an extra 3000 calories per day. Extra. I doubt you're eating 4500-5000 calories per day. :) More likely, you were closer to 161-162 last week aside from water weight, so the 163 this week is right on target.
5147790 tn?1364304489 I did not plan my last one. I am now 444. I have just increased these past years. I had the lapband put in in 2006 and out in June 2011. No help for me. My 18 year Anniversary is today. I have seen a dietician in the past and started one again today. I got the "shakeweight" and I just get encouraged to use that and whatever else I can. So please keep in touch. You can't start out fast, because all you will do is fail. I learned now.
9455625 tn?1412820762 No losing weight is actually normal if not in excessive amounts
Avatar f tn Hi, I'm near the end of week 10 and I haven't gained any weight, actually lost about 3lbs. I haven't been sick or really had any strong food aversions. Is this normal?
Avatar f tn I lost a total of 15 pounds this pregnancy and have only gained 4 lbs. So im still down in weight. At my 36 week appt and 37 week appt I weighed the exact same. And when I weighed at home yesterday (my 38 week appt is in 2 days) I lost almost 2 lbs. Hopefully baby boy is still growing good since at my 36 appt my ob said I measured 36/37 and at my 37 week appt I measured 37. Has anybody stopped getting bigger?
Avatar f tn I'm a little confused. Is anyone else losing weight? I'm 11weeks 5days. My weight before pregnancy was 180. 6weeks prego my weight was 168, 8weeks was 161, today i'm at 155. I thought in the beginning it was from morning sickness and being actually sick, but for 3 weeks i haven't had a lot of morning sickness since i started drinking sprite and i haven't been sick. I thought for sure by mid 11 weeks i would have gained at least a pound or two. Am I the only one losing?
Avatar f tn Is it normal to loose so much weight in 1 week?I was 184lbs last week and now i am 177lbs and I should gaining since im almost 37 Weeks.
4715985 tn?1371582997 Im just wondering if there would be a reason why i would lose weight in only a week? Im so scared that something bad will happen, is this normal?
Avatar f tn Here is the answer to this question. In order to lose weight, you have to subtract calories. Safe weight loss is 1-2 lbs/week, so in order to lose 1 lb/week, you'd have to drop 500 calories from your BMR each day (1 lb is equal to 3500 calories, so 500 calories X 7 days = 3500 calories or 1 lb). OR you can drop 250 calories from your diet and increase exercise to use an additional 250 calories. Changing up calorie counts and exercises will help prevent plateau.
Avatar f tn -) Hang in there and again count it down :-)
198506 tn?1251156915 t start noticing a diffeent in my weight until after 10lbs. keep on losing and you will notice your weight loss soon.
1519805 tn?1291058650 As you mature, it will be more and more difficult to lose weight. However, large amounts of weight gain--with no change in diet or activity--usually hints at a medical condition. So make sure you rule those out first. First of all, there's nothing easy or quick about losing weight. I'm so frustrated with commercials and billboards that promise fast results. A fat camp means you'll lose weight while at camp, but then what happens when you get home?
Avatar f tn lets try to cut your daily calorie intake to about 1200-1300 per day. One lb of weight is equivalent to about 3500 calories. So if you want to lose a pound of weight your going to need to cut back a total of 3500 calories in three or four days and you will likely lose about 1 lb. I hope this makes sense to you. If your body is burning 2000 calories daily and you are eating 1300 calories daily that is a 700 calorie deficiency per day. So... in about 5 days you would loose 1 lb.
Avatar f tn Am so glad you are feeling better now and beginning to be able to eat again. My doctors would probably stick me in the hospital if I'd lost that much weight, they get upset if I haven't gained (Don't know why as I am very far from underweight, LOL!). Glad your baby is ok and growing normally. THe next few months you'll be able to hopefully get things back to normal.
Avatar f tn ve calculated your needs, you will need to subtract calories in order to lose weight. A pound is 3500 calories, so if you want to lose a pound a week, you would need to eliminate that many calories/week. That would average out to 500 calories/day (500 calories/day X 7 days/week = 3500). You can do this a couple of ways.
Avatar f tn on lunch you eat one full plate of whatever you have cooked, you can cut this quantity by half. Another thing, you can make lots of salads that are healthy and satisfying, this way you won't consume as much calories as you usually do. This also affects your mood and the your energy through the day. Also try avoiding alcohol drinks/ soft drinks.. And try not to eat too much sweets. You can still eat chocolate.
Avatar f tn Its good you've set a goal and are looking to find out how to achieve it! However losing 15 pounds in a month is unrealistic and unhealthy. Did you know it takes about a year for your body to adjust to losing 10 pounds? It's important to remember weight loss is a marathon and not a sprint. In order to lose weight and keep it off, you shouldn't look at it as weight loss but a way to become healthier!
