Common Questions and Answers about Losing weight in less than a month

Avatar f tn I'm 18 wks & I've been losing weight & then gaining it back in my belly so I've stayed the same, my doctor seems pleased though cause I am slightly over weight pre preg :)
Avatar n tn if i had focused more on my health and less on my weight, i would have been happier, healthier, less injured, and a stronger dancer and athlete. You are an excellent weight that is very low for your height, and if you are active you should work on maintaining a strong healthy body, not necessarily a small body. if you are worried about your image, focus on the image, not the numbers on the scale. muscle really does weigh more than fat.
Avatar f tn So I'm 7wks4days and I've lost about ten pounds in less then a month. I have really bad nausea. Is it normal to lose that kind of weight?
Avatar f tn My doctor said It was normal change of diet mixed with me being a bit bigger. I have since gained the weight back and a littlw more.
Avatar f tn I lost 10 pounds In less than a month but i had problem getting food into my system because of all the queasiness but weight loss during the first trimester is normal as long as you make sure to drink your prenatal vitamins, that will help you a lot with all the nutrients you and your baby need during weight loss.
Avatar f tn Ill be 6 months this month should I be be concerned that I'm not really gaining weight?
930138 tn?1244345904 It is not a supplement, per se. It is a hormone that you inject for six days a week and then eat a very low calorie diet at the same time. It works to reset your hypothalmus to metabolize your fat instead of storing it all the time.
Avatar f tn I'm 37 weeks and 3 days. I've gained 7 pounds but I've lost 5 pounds in less than a week because I can't seem to keep anything down. I'm beyond stressed at the moment and I'm wondering if that's why I've been so sick. My medicine just doesn't seem to work anymore. Any ideas on how to actually keep things down?
Avatar f tn I do feel losing 15 kg in 3 months is unrealistic if you plan to do this healthily. I've lost 15 kg but it has taken me 12 months. However, it hasn't been an onerous task, whereas diets I've done in the past have been. This time, I changed my life style as well as my eating habits. I haven't cut out chocolate altogether, and I cut it down gradually (which is why it's taken 12 months). I found that the craving for it dissolved over time, and now I rarely eat it.
Avatar n tn Cutting down on calories to less than adequate is not considered healthy. Also when aiming at losing weight the protein intake may be slightly increased and the carbohydrate intake slightly lowered. The calorie requirement should also be adjusted for ones physical activities as well. Lower than adequate calorie intake can also cause weight gain, due to the stress hormones kicking in also causing erratic sugar levels in diabetics.
Avatar n tn Fighting through the sluggishness and fatigue of hypothyroidism is difficult, but adding daily exercised can be a great aid in losing weight. If you aren't currently exercising, start with an easy walk. Get plenty of rest. The National Sleep Foundation reports that people who sleep less than 6 hours each night have a higher body mass index than people who sleep 8 or more hours.
Avatar f tn I weigh less now then before I had my daughter at my 6 week check up I was 10lbs less than my pre pregnancy weight. I only gained 2lbs my whole pregnancy tho. With my son I gained 15lbs and lost 10lbs at my 6 week check up. I didn't do anything after either of them to lose the weight.

Avatar f tn ve been steadily losing weight over the past few days even though I eat at least 3 meals a day (3 normal portioned meals, or 5 small meals). When I first weighed myself when I found out I was pregnant, I was about 145. Then when I went to the doctor 2 weeks ago I was 140, now I'm 137. Anyone else going through weird things like this? Oh and keep in mind I'm constipated, so I feel like I should weigh more?
Avatar f tn I agree with Barb135 losing weight in a month is not a magic. Exercise and diet plan are the most important things to achieve your weight goal. Exercise plays an important role in maintaining a healthy body, and it makes it possible to create a calorie deficit and lose weight without starving your body.
Avatar f tn s easier on our bodies if we maintain a weight than yo-yo back and forth, and this is one area where we see the effects as girls. If you feel you would be healthier at a lesser weight, lose the weight in a healthy manner (healthy diet including portion control and exercise) and then maintain the weight. I don't know that anything would help make your breasts perky unless you went the extreme of surgery.
Avatar f tn First of all, you might get more responses if you posted on Type II forum, as this is Type I. Also there isn't a lot of traffic here in general, so I suggest you go on to a board with a lot of people who are considering these issues and you will get a lot more info. Two good ones are: TuDiabetes.com and Diabetesforums.com Just to give you some general feedback, you don't mention what your medication regimen is or if you take insulin.
Avatar f tn The ideal aim should be to lose about half kg per week or two kg in a month. Some can effortlessly lose about 3 kg in a month. Too fast weight loss can cause rebound weight gain. Also, it can cause other problems such as loose skin, flabs at unwanted places etc. Apart from losing weight, you need to tone up the body. A combination of aerobic, strength training and stretches works best. Many people find it difficult to fit an exercise regimen into their lives.
Avatar f tn Your health-care provider might have a booklet or flyer about the topic also. I would check his weight and keep track on a chart, if he is really losing weight, contact his doctor.
Avatar f tn Suggest improving your eating habits to help lose weight which recommend a Heart Healthy diet which is a moderate fat diet. You need approximately 1500-1800 calories per day which is spread across 3-5 meals a day with snacks between meals. Moderate fat diet means = use polyunsaturated (omega 3, corn oil, nuts, etc) fats and monounsaturated (olive oil, canola oil, peanut oil, etc) fats, no saturated fats (high fat snack foods, butter, fat spreads) and no trans fats.
