978106 tn?1285108401 As for exercise, get in what you can. Take the stairs, park far away and walk to the store, school, etc. Or call up a friend and take a stroll around the neighborhood. You don't have to kill yourself to get a decent amount of exercise. If you can exercise, by all means, do. But don't stress yourself out over it. Remember that stress itself can cause weight gain.
Avatar f tn What to expect when you're expecting says losing weight in the 1st trimester is normal bc of morning sickness. You will just have to make up for it when you aren't sick anymore. If you can't keep anything down, you may need to see your dr incase you become dehydrated.

Avatar n tn m not losing any weight.. no matter if i watch what I eat or excerise! I dont know what could possibly be wrong.
Avatar n tn s keeping you from losing weight. By eating regular meals, you can better incorporate a mix of vegetables, protein, whole grains and healthy fats into your diet. Snacking, typically, ends up being fruit, candy bars, crackers, sandwiches, chips and all the things that aren't so good for you and tend to make you, either, gain or hold onto weight.
Avatar f tn I lost 10 using the gym and pool before my struggle with tachycardia got worse. I agree that you need motivation but I also think you need to enjoy exercise. I went with a friend and had lots of fun. Not sure if it's a coincidance or not but I lost the 10kg before my sister join us at the gym. I have a lot of anxiety around my sister as she's a controling person and given any chance she will try to control me any way. I stopped loosing weight once she joined us.
Avatar f tn I would like to drop my weight down to 50 or 55. Is that an unhealthy weight? And this weight tracker thing says I have to eat around 1200 calories in every day, isn't that a little bit too little? Or is that right? And a side note, I have an injury that doesn't allow me to do any high impact sport, including running, any helpful tips?
Avatar f tn Had an Mri and the doctor came in and asked me who I lived with. (Endcrinoligist) and he said you need to see a neurologist and that was it. This is what the paperwork said that he gave me. Findings: Flair imaging demonstrates approximately 8 subcortical white matter areas of signal aleration. These have increased in nmber as compared to prior examination. There are two new lesions within the high vertex posterior frontal subcortical white matter.
Avatar m tn t bothered, but 25 lbs (roughly 15% of my body weight) in 12 months seems alarming to me, especially since I have tried to lose weight in the past and have never been successful and now i seem to be losing it without trying. I emailed my doctor and I have an appointment with him in a few days, but I am worried about what it might be.

Avatar n tn Hi! I'm a girl teenager in high school, and I've always had a lot of trouble exercising because of school and music. This has led me to gradually gaining a bit over the years (+25lbs ish), and i have decided that I want to look better, feel better, and be more athletic. I have never played any traditional sports because I do not enjoy the sports that are avalable in my area.
Avatar m tn I was wondering if any of the prescriptions I take, may be making it harder for me to lose weight? In fact i've gained about 45lbs since last year. This year some of my prescriptions have changed. I am now taking 60 mg of Paxil last year it was 40 mg. I am taking lisinopril and diclofenac and 50 more mg of atenolol. I believe I am getting about the same amount of exersise as I was last year if not more. Thank you.
Avatar f tn the slogan is get high school skinny. I have been on it a week and 1/2 and i have lost only 5 pounds. I Only drink water and i watch what i eat. Has anyone tried this product? I just wanted to hear some REAL results...Thanks!
Avatar m tn Going in to high school can be very stressful. Can you talk to your parents or school counselor about how you're feeling?
Avatar f tn t overweight. It feels so strange I can fit in to my old high school jeans right now. My doc said the weight loss was normal but I should gain 5 pounds between our last appt. and my upcoming one nxt week.
Avatar f tn Sometime back my doctor got concerned that I might be a borderline case of PCOS ( I had irregular periods and mild hirsutism aling with difficulty in losing weight) and I got the tests done but they were all clear. I was under lots of stress, still am and Ive been taking antidepressants like Escitalipram and topiramate for the last five years. I've stopped them now. I got my thyroid profile done and all readings were within range.
Avatar n tn Fighting through the sluggishness and fatigue of hypothyroidism is difficult, but adding daily exercised can be a great aid in losing weight. If you aren't currently exercising, start with an easy walk. Get plenty of rest. The National Sleep Foundation reports that people who sleep less than 6 hours each night have a higher body mass index than people who sleep 8 or more hours.
Avatar f tn Diet aids such as Releana are not the best way to lose weight. While you might lose a considerable amount of weight on it, which might be nice, the chances of gaining it all back, once you go off the med are extremely high. I can't think of anyone I've ever known, who would stick to such a "diet" for any length of time.
Avatar f tn Hello! I was just a month ago or so diagnosed with type 1 Chiari malformation, but the fact is that I'm 17 years old and still in high school with PE classes which are mandatory. I went to a neurologist but she wasn't one I would trust because all she basically said to me was which was written on my MRI results. I have an appointment with another neurologist but it's on 19th Feb. What I'm wondering is if there are things which I shouldn't be doing in PE classes?

Avatar f tn So my dr told me that I am losing weight today at my appointment. I know its natural in the first trimester but my dr is concerned and says I need to start gaining. Problem is I am never hungry. I eat a small meal at lunch time and feel completely stuffed the rest of the day/night. Anyone have any suggestions?? I'm already high risk, I don't want anything else to happen too!
Avatar f tn If your A1C is high you are likely pre-diabetic. That combined with PCOS will make it tough getting pregnant. Ask your doctor about taking metformin. This will help regulate your insulin levels which will help your diabetes and will work with your ovaries to hopefully get them to ovulate. Metformin has also been known to help women lose weight combined with diet and exercise. Watch your portion size. When you eat a carb make sure you've got a protein. Cut out sugars.
Avatar m tn I am now taking Ortho Tri-Cyclen and have actually begun to FINALLY start losing weight. My weight loss is not much yet, but I was wondering if taking these birth control pills is actually the reason for my weight loss? I know birth control pills are supposed to help with hormonal imbalances, so would taking them also enable me to finally start losing weight, despite the fact that so many women say birth control pills cause them to GAIN weight?
