Avatar f tn i no longer have a thyroid problem, and no longer need to take medicine for it. i have been back in the gym as of january this year and i go to the gym for an hour a day 4x a week. the reason i stopped taking zoloft was due to heavy research and testimonials i found on womens accounts basically sharing stories that mirror my own. they are taking antidepressants and antianxiety meds, and they have ALL gained 30+ lbs.

495284 tn?1333894042 I had that creepy crawly skin thing going on. Legs arent as heavy today. The best part is getting up in the morning not in a fog even tho i feel awful. Oh i did try the steak thing and all i could do was suck the juice out but at least it was something. Still faithfully taking the vitamins. The sun is shining today so may go and sit on the back steps and suck up some sun. Havent seen much of that since last Sept.

Did you know it takes about a year for your body to adjust to losing 10 pounds? It's important to remember weight loss is a marathon and not a sprint. Avatar n tn Over the winter I started back to using my elliptical machine a few days a week, also started to do some yoga on the alternate days and a bit of weight training in the gym (I really hate weight training, it's just so bloody boring!) Got my bike out a few weeks ago and I've been doing about 15-20 km every other day. Got some good running shoes ordered so I can start running when they get here.

Avatar f tn I agree that losing 20-25 lbs in a month is an unrealistic goal. Safe weight loss is 1-2 lbs/week. I'd recommend that you calculate your daily calorie needs and just start losing now and see how far you get in a month, but don't stop there. Once you reach your goal, you'll be set and won't have to worry about losing in a hurry.

Avatar f tn the stair climber is the BEST machine for cardio in my opinion. Does your gym have classes? I would also recommend doing one or a couple in addition to your regular work outs. Muscle confusion is proven sucessfull in aiding people to lose weight. If you do the same thing everytime you are not challenging yourself. 30 mins of cardio is something that will help you maintain your current weight - aim for 45 mins to an hour if this is all you're going to do. My mom is down 22 lbs in a few months just cutting out grains, she has gotten rid of her acid reflux and is her lowest weight she's been since before she had me. I had a scare last year with a tentative finding of pulmonary hypertension, which has yet not been proved nor ruled out. However, since losing all the weight, I'm no longer having shortness of breath when I exercise. Anyway, I can't seem to increase my endurance on the elliptical. 20 min is the most I can do, and I'm dying after that.
