Avatar f tn i no longer have a thyroid problem, and no longer need to take medicine for it. i have been back in the gym as of january this year and i go to the gym for an hour a day 4x a week. the reason i stopped taking zoloft was due to heavy research and testimonials i found on womens accounts basically sharing stories that mirror my own. they are taking antidepressants and antianxiety meds, and they have ALL gained 30+ lbs.
Avatar f tn there are tons of websites out there that can help you determine how many calories you need to reach a particular weight goal. oh, also remember that losing weight is a lifestyle change, not a quick fix overnight deal. so stay positive, keep at it and good luck! you'll get there.
Avatar n tn This i had done by investing a lot of time in the gym and working out and eating a low carbohydrate but a healthy diet. However, i am concerned because i stopped working out or dieting since March 2007 and my weight seemed to remain the same to 56 kilos. I have stopped exercising after that and didnot have the time to diet either but have dropped kilos since last year and this year i am down to 52 kgs. I eat a lot now, do yoga once or twice a week but that is all.
676912 tn?1332812551 Does anyone have any tips for losing baby weight? It's been 19 months since I had Elijah and I've got 30 lbs left. I gained about 40 and only lost 10 after I had him. Most of it I gained in the last two months and I thought it was from water weight because I swelled up so much.

495284 tn?1333894042 I had that creepy crawly skin thing going on. Legs arent as heavy today. The best part is getting up in the morning not in a fog even tho i feel awful. Oh i did try the steak thing and all i could do was suck the juice out but at least it was something. Still faithfully taking the vitamins. The sun is shining today so may go and sit on the back steps and suck up some sun. Havent seen much of that since last Sept.
Avatar f tn i'm 22 years old, my weight is 54kg and height 1m62. I'm at gym 2h/day and 3 days/week, i'm looking forward to losing 8kg in 2 month so what i need to eat for my meals everday ?
Avatar f tn Its good you've set a goal and are looking to find out how to achieve it! However losing 15 pounds in a month is unrealistic and unhealthy. Did you know it takes about a year for your body to adjust to losing 10 pounds? It's important to remember weight loss is a marathon and not a sprint. In order to lose weight and keep it off, you shouldn't look at it as weight loss but a way to become healthier!
Avatar n tn I have read all the stories on here and it seems that not really anyone is losing weight. I am having the opposite effect. I am on 100mg and have lost 52 pounds. I was also going to the gym 4-5 times a week and working out. I have stopped that now because i am getting too skinny. I have not gone to the gym in over a month and i am still losing weight. I am actually going to go to the doctor today to ask if maybe the dose is too high since i have lost all the wieght.
Avatar f tn A slow and steady approach will be helpful. Losing 5 pounds in month is a realistic and healthy way of losing weight. Avoid eating salty fast foods, candies and cut down on at least 500 calories per day.It is best to discuss with your doctor, dietician, physical trainer or a buddy into weight loss and chalk out a program you can start with and maintain to. This is merely an advice and not a substitute for clinical examination. Keep me posted. Best luck and regards!

10286987 tn?1410261849 It is important to make sure that this journey is followed up with medical appointments. Find out your grandparents and parents medical history. You are looking for illnesses that can affect you. You also need not to get on FAB diets. Do it right, good eating and exercise. Remember that sometime personal emotional problems create eating disorders. It is your life and you need to be positive and own it.
Avatar f tn I agree that losing 20-25 lbs in a month is an unrealistic goal. Safe weight loss is 1-2 lbs/week. I'd recommend that you calculate your daily calorie needs and just start losing now and see how far you get in a month, but don't stop there. Once you reach your goal, you'll be set and won't have to worry about losing in a hurry.
Avatar n tn Over the winter I started back to using my elliptical machine a few days a week, also started to do some yoga on the alternate days and a bit of weight training in the gym (I really hate weight training, it's just so bloody boring!) Got my bike out a few weeks ago and I've been doing about 15-20 km every other day. Got some good running shoes ordered so I can start running when they get here.
5147790 tn?1364304489 t that hypothyroidism, insulin resistance or PCOS, all of which can cause weight gain and/or make losing next to impossible. Good luck and keep posting.
Avatar f tn It's possible. Losing 1% pf your weight rvery week is ok for your body. If you will lose 1% of your weight 0.64 kg per week makes 0.64*12 weeks is 7.68 kg.
Avatar n tn why i'm gaining weight although im dieting and excercising, i've been going to the gym losing weight but now that i started a new programm i'm gaining weight.
Avatar n tn Exercise is a way of life that brings your body to good health while losing weight or mantaining weight. 1-2 lbs is a reasonable weight loss goal per week not much more. Remember 1 lbs of fat is 3500 calories so you will have to burn that much calories in order to lose just 1 lb of fat. Be patient is it happens slowly.
Avatar n tn hi there I was wondering if you can help what it is I have been going to the gym and losing wait and seem to have hit a wall I have always been big in size but not fat if you know what I mean what it is I am looking at taking these produces I was wondering if I can take them all at the same time ?

Avatar n tn (people are saying maybe the weights are gaining muscle) I lose about 400 calories on the Skiing machine machine (to work both arms and lose weight), it says in about 35 minutes. sometimes I lose 500 in 42 minutes. Why am I not losing any weight? In fact I gained 3 lbs. Do I need to cut out weights completely? Do I need to go to the gym 5 days a week and do more cardio? I ate very few carbs for many years. I have just now started eating a few because evreyone says I should.
