Avatar f tn i use to have a bubble butt. I noticed after the birth of my 4th child, and losing 15 lbs of pregnancy weight, the bubble was no longer there but still had a perky nice shape. Fast forward to 13 years later, an unimaginable family tragedy occurred. My life and that of my family's lives have been drastically altered forever. In feel numb and am thankful not to have had a breakdown. I maintained my workouts throughout, which is what probably saves me from complete despair.
Avatar f tn If you are new to working out, start by performing three sets of 15 body-weight squats and lunges. As you progress, add weight to these exercises. Your butt muscles get bigger when you force them to adapt by increasing the weight. When your body is no longer sore from performing the exercise, it is time to increase the weight or switch up your routine.
Avatar f tn When starting out, it's very important to learn proper form for squats. Begin squatting using only your body weight, allowing your muscles and joints to become accustomed to the movement. This also allows you to work only on your form until you have it perfect. Standard squats should be performed with your feet shoulder-width apart, your head up and shoulders back. When lowering down into the squat, push your glutes back and keep your weight nearly all in your heels.
Avatar f tn Sometimes when I run uphill, steep altitude gains, in the beginning my arms lose blood. It's not pain, it's not numbness, but a weird ache like all the blood is rushing out of them. I'm sure it has to do with all the blood going to my quads and glutes so they can push me up the hill. But I don't know any of my friends that have this sensation. Just wondering if it's unusual.
Avatar m tn I just noticed the OP mentuons muscle aches and pains. Do you mean in your breast or in your body? I have noticed I've had quite a few (especially in my glutes!) but assumed it was from losing weight (hard to eat when you think you are dying of cancer). Is GM linked with muscle pains too, or is it localized to the breast? I am going to try acupuncture before year end, I hope.

Avatar n tn Calorie indicators are a generalization, a starting point, but not what you in particular need. If you're not losing weight, you're not eating too little. Pretty simple. But the quality of your food might not be just right, or the time of eating, which can account for some of the pain. For example, after running, if you don't cool down and then stretch, lactic acid will build up and cause pain.
Avatar m tn Doing heavy lifting (espeically deadlifting) I doubt that I have a weakness in my glutes, but do you think that I could have a similar effect from having overstregthened glutes/hamstrings in relevance to my quads? I think we have a few foam rollers up here where I work so I will probably try to stretch it out a little awhile I am here. Thanks for the quick response.
Avatar n tn GLUTE BRIDGE WITH MEDICINE BALL BETWEEN KNEES While lying on your back with with knees bent and feet flat, place a medicine ball between your knees and raise your hips in the area to full extension. Squeeze your glutes and hold hips in air for five seconds at a time. Squeeze the ball as hard as possible with your knees as this will help emphasize more inner thighs. LATERAL LUNGE Begin with stepping to the right beyond shoulder width while keeping your toes forward and your feet flat.
Avatar n tn I'm 35 and very over weight. Besides walking what else can I do, to get a good jump start?
14110160 tn?1432940751 Hi! I am a 16 year old female who is at a normal healthy weight. However, for a while ive been trying to figure out ways to slim down my thighs. For a while, I did squats and lunges and realized I was only building more muscle on my thighs, and that's not what I want. I want to slim them up, then in the future decide on whether I want to tone them with a bit of muscle.
Avatar f tn Im 30 weeks & in the past week or so my hips hurt a lot . They are super sore when I lay or my sides or walk for some time . Is anyone else having this problem ?
Avatar f tn I took a week off work and the recovery went well. However, since I have been back at work, my glutes get very sore, too sore to sit or stand. It is fine when I lie down. Every morning, after a good night's sleep, I feel fine but the glutes start getting sore again every afternoon. I thought it would go away but it seems like it might be getting worse. Before the surgery I was relatively active, I ran and did yoga a few times a week.
Avatar n tn I am 9 weeks pregnant and this is my first pregnancy and instead of gaining weight I am losing weight. I haven't had any nausea or vomiting in the past 2 days but I am still losing weight. I am scared that this could affect my baby. Is there something wrong or is this normal ?
Avatar f tn My average healthy weight is 60kg and I'm 161cm tall, now I'm 75kg which is overweight. I just finished the 3rd month yesterday. Is there a way to lose weight without hurting the baby? Cuz it's not healthy for me to stay in this weight while I'll gain 12kg more while pregnancy. Nothing hard or hurtful, walking is hard here since I'm in saudi Arabia and the heat reach 40c. I'm looking for healthy diet that won't hurt the baby if I do it.
Avatar n tn Safe weight loss is considered to be 1 to 2 lbs/week (1 lb = 0.453 kg), so the most you should lose in one month would be about 10 lbs or 4.53 kg... You'd need about 7 weeks to lose 15 kg or 33 lbs, safely, if you work at it diligently.
Avatar m tn I was wondering if any of the prescriptions I take, may be making it harder for me to lose weight? In fact i've gained about 45lbs since last year. This year some of my prescriptions have changed. I am now taking 60 mg of Paxil last year it was 40 mg. I am taking lisinopril and diclofenac and 50 more mg of atenolol. I believe I am getting about the same amount of exersise as I was last year if not more. Thank you.

Avatar f tn I cannot exercise a whole lot do to a medical condition where I suffer from daily headaches and pressure in my head. Losing weight will actually help this condition. Besides my overall health, this is why it is so important that I lose weight. I have lost weight in the past, but always seem to gain it back. I think that I was not eating enough calories. i was staying at about 1000 a day. I lost 70 pounds, but gained it all back plus a lot more.
Avatar f tn Hello there, It would be really dangerous to you to lose that much weight, ie 15 lbs in 2 weeks. A good amount of weight is about 2 lbs per week. The middle of August is about 4 weeks away. Even in 4 weeks, unless you go on what I would call a drastic diet or a starvation diet which would probably put your body in shock, you can't lose 15 lbs in a healthy way. Some people might think that if you drastically reduce your calorie intake, the weight will just fall off you. This is not true.
