199373 tn?1270487632 I gave birth 2 months ago, and I'm losing weight at a semi-slow pace (I'm breastfeeding so I cannot overdo it). I ordered an elliptical, and plan to workout on it for atleast 30 mins a day. I seem to be losing well in all places but my face and arms. Any advice on how to trim these two areas? Or should I just be patient?
Avatar n tn There are facial exercises you can do, but you shouldn't have saggy cheeks when you lose weight, unless you're losing a very large amount of weight.
Avatar m tn It seems when I am dieting and losing a lot of weight my nose gets smaller I mean it doesnt change its shape but its less wider, less puffier than when I am fatter, I was told though the nose doesnt change at all with weight changes, but it looks different when I am slimmer than when I was larger, is it true the nose shrinks a bit as you lose weight?
Avatar m tn Sometimes burn victims get that kind of thing after some skin grafts, and sometimes people get that from losing a lot of weight. Hard to say otherwise, but there are a lot of odd skin conditions.
Avatar n tn My daughter has always been a picky although healthy eater, but she has begun holding all foods in her mouth and cheeks until it is liquified, and/or chews her food into tiny pieces before swallowing. She barely ate one of her favorite foods (sesame chicken) saying it was too crunchy or hard. We have tried ignoring it, as well as talking to her about it, but it seems to be getting worse. She is losing weight now, and was pretty slim to begin with.
Avatar m tn He never ate well but we chalked it up to his newness and figured the appetite would kick in. Now, he has lost a lot of weight. He has almost no sucking reflex. He came with a severe case of thrush and we have been treating that with Nystatin q.i.d. He is also now receiving Amoxycillin syrup 2 x's daily (1.5ml/dose). In between 3 hour apart feedings where we are barely able to get 25ml of formula into him we give him an ORS and sugar drink.
Avatar m tn Hi David. When I was your age I actually had very chubby cheeks as well (I was also overweight, but I digress :-) ) As I got older, I "grew into my face" and my face slimmed down a lot. Even now that I'm a healthy weight, I still have slightly chubbier cheeks than most other people in my opinion. My dad had chubby cheeks so I guess just take after him! I wouldnt worry about your "chubby cheeks" though.
3229119 tn?1347503299 Are you going to breast feed? I've heard tooooons if women say it really helps with losing weight and helps your vagina heal better. I plan on trying to do so for at least 3 months, if i can go longer great! But I'm also going to buy this Nike Workout game for xbox Kinect and try to work out a few times a week. Lol i wouldn't know why your cheeks feel big? Maybe just from the weight gain, so they feel big to you lol.
Avatar n tn I am 9 weeks pregnant and this is my first pregnancy and instead of gaining weight I am losing weight. I haven't had any nausea or vomiting in the past 2 days but I am still losing weight. I am scared that this could affect my baby. Is there something wrong or is this normal ?
Avatar f tn My average healthy weight is 60kg and I'm 161cm tall, now I'm 75kg which is overweight. I just finished the 3rd month yesterday. Is there a way to lose weight without hurting the baby? Cuz it's not healthy for me to stay in this weight while I'll gain 12kg more while pregnancy. Nothing hard or hurtful, walking is hard here since I'm in saudi Arabia and the heat reach 40c. I'm looking for healthy diet that won't hurt the baby if I do it.
Avatar n tn Safe weight loss is considered to be 1 to 2 lbs/week (1 lb = 0.453 kg), so the most you should lose in one month would be about 10 lbs or 4.53 kg... You'd need about 7 weeks to lose 15 kg or 33 lbs, safely, if you work at it diligently.
Avatar m tn I was wondering if any of the prescriptions I take, may be making it harder for me to lose weight? In fact i've gained about 45lbs since last year. This year some of my prescriptions have changed. I am now taking 60 mg of Paxil last year it was 40 mg. I am taking lisinopril and diclofenac and 50 more mg of atenolol. I believe I am getting about the same amount of exersise as I was last year if not more. Thank you.
Avatar n tn Hi there, Hope you are doing well. A good dietary regime and exercises all will be helpful in losing weight. Losing weight in a healthy way is important for maintaining the glow of your skin. Eat lots of fruits, dark green leafy vegetables, fruits and consume less of potato, sweetened and processed foods. Start your day by drinking lemon juice in warm water. Have fruits with lots of vitamin C in breakfast that will help you cut fats as vitamin C is a fat burner.

Avatar f tn I cannot exercise a whole lot do to a medical condition where I suffer from daily headaches and pressure in my head. Losing weight will actually help this condition. Besides my overall health, this is why it is so important that I lose weight. I have lost weight in the past, but always seem to gain it back. I think that I was not eating enough calories. i was staying at about 1000 a day. I lost 70 pounds, but gained it all back plus a lot more.
Avatar f tn Hello there, It would be really dangerous to you to lose that much weight, ie 15 lbs in 2 weeks. A good amount of weight is about 2 lbs per week. The middle of August is about 4 weeks away. Even in 4 weeks, unless you go on what I would call a drastic diet or a starvation diet which would probably put your body in shock, you can't lose 15 lbs in a healthy way. Some people might think that if you drastically reduce your calorie intake, the weight will just fall off you. This is not true.
Avatar f tn Its good you've set a goal and are looking to find out how to achieve it! However losing 15 pounds in a month is unrealistic and unhealthy. Did you know it takes about a year for your body to adjust to losing 10 pounds? It's important to remember weight loss is a marathon and not a sprint. In order to lose weight and keep it off, you shouldn't look at it as weight loss but a way to become healthier!
29837 tn?1414534648 This is the weight I weighed at 27 years old. For many years now, my weight has been 185. The now weight of 175 lbs. is a loss of 17 lbs. in less than 3 weeks after leaving the hospital. Funny thing is, my appetite is ravenous, my blood tests all came beck fine last week, as well as still cleared of Hep C. My energy level is normal I've heard somewhere that because muscle weighs, it has to be taken into consideration when weighing someone.
Avatar f tn I am a little bit chubby and i want to lose 9 kg in fastest amount of time to still be healthy. So i don't support starving and belive in moderation. I want to lose this weight till the end of 2014 anybody have any ideas?
676912 tn?1332812551 Does anyone have any tips for losing baby weight? It's been 19 months since I had Elijah and I've got 30 lbs left. I gained about 40 and only lost 10 after I had him. Most of it I gained in the last two months and I thought it was from water weight because I swelled up so much.
Avatar f tn I'm due April 24th and I've lost 20lbs since I found out at 6 weeks and am continuing to lose weight. My OB said that as long as I'm losing the weight in a healthy manner then all is good.
