Avatar f tn Hey, guys! Does anybody of you know if hula hooping does anything with my abs, and if it works if I want to loose a few pounds?
610738 tn?1263111556 I do Hula hooping as one of my main exercises, it is said to burn off around 400cal every 30mins. And it works too :) Every time i jump on the scales the morning after hooping i have normally lost about 400grams. Can this be added as one of the exercises that can be tracked.
6965936 tn?1394227011 That sounds funny hula hooping but trust your doctor it might work. Sorry to hear the baby is breeched, depending on how long you have until birth the baby can move on his/her own without you evening know. Good luck & congrats.
Avatar f tn I want to get in shape and I heard hula hooping is a great excercise is this true?
610738 tn?1263111556 I worked out recently that on an average day I consume 687 calories a day, on a blow out day I will consume around 800 calories. I exercise daily, either bike riding, abseiling, walking or hula hooping. I can't work out why I'm not losing the weight. I eat healthy, fruit and veges, a few carbs and dairy. With my daily level of exercise i burn between 1000 to 2000 calories depending on if I am being lazy or not. Usually 2000 though.
5615074 tn?1378316840 even hula hooping if you can manage. Moving your hips in the circular manner is great for relieving pressure and prepping for birth. Most find relief doing it on an exercise ball but hula away. If you feel pain or get winded you should stop.. def. Stay hydrated and dont overwork yourself. Its been said if youre gonna "work out" during pregnancy you should be able to talk while doing so and not be winded. Have fun and be careful!
Avatar n tn well you know this could be cuz of something with the whole water thing but im a guy so i could be blowin smoke and if ya wanna lose tummy fat/inches do hula hooping,or crunches, or get into a belly dancing class, thats the only way to do it if diets dont work....
Avatar f tn Detox water works great my dear! Its gets all the nasty out.
Avatar f tn I met a lady last night who has been a midwife for years she said hula hooping! I've not tried it because I'm being induced tomorrow anyway but maybe worth a go? I also asked her about castor oil as I've seen a lot of ladies on here were taking that- she said it is NOT recommended and can make baby poop before birth which is obviously not good. She said hot curry hot bath and sex although it's not proven to work.
Avatar f tn Exactly the reason why peoples predictions about my baby made me so agitated. It puts an idea in your head and you sorta get disappointed. Dont lose heart. Contractions make you feel like maybe its soon but prelabor can take all day or a few days. When you can no longer do housework or concentrate on talking to others, thats when its really time to go. Prelabor is pretty exciting though! You look forward to going in! Keep taking walks to bring in those contractions .
958098 tn?1246809218 If you are eating properly like drinking your eight glasses of water, drinking milk, lots of fruits and vegetables, whole grains and lean meat (chicken, turkey) and fish and you are active and are still gaining alot of weight or not losing any weight then you should see a doctor so that he/she can run test to see if you have any underlying conditions. You DO NOT need to be engaging in any strict exercise/nutrition program at your age unless you are 30lbs or more overweight.
Avatar f tn Oh honey I feel ya. My heaviest was almost 280 size 26/28 pants & I was having issues with my blood sugars told I was borderline diabetic @ 22. I was so unhappy with my body but I've always been big & didn't know any other way of life. Then I started looking at my portions & walking. Took up hula hooping & zumba (in the privacy of my own home!) & even started jogging & running. I got down to 184 within a year & looked & felt f*ckin Fabulous!
Avatar f tn According to the National Institutes of Health, http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17061840, the fruit of Euterpe Oleraceae, commonly known as acai, has been demonstrated to exhibit significantly high antioxidant capacity in vitro, especially for superoxide and peroxyl scavenging, and, therefore, may have possible health benefits.
Avatar f tn Losing weight fast means gaining it back faster. Healthy, sustainable weight loss is 1-2 pounds per week. I know, this isn't as fast as anyone would like it to be, but every little bit makes a difference. Myself, I prefer the hula hooping diet!
Avatar f tn I need to find a moderate- intermediate exercise program while I'm pregnant. I'm nine weeks today. And I'm already showing... I'd really like to keep the weight gain healthy instead of excessive. If anyone knows where I can find a program like that let me know. Thank you!
1288436 tn?1271893636 I had to have an emergency c-section and the doctor told me that I pretty much would never see my pre-baby body ever again because its harder to lose weight after a c-section. Please tell me there is a way. I have lost about 25lbs since birth but the skin just isn't snapping back as quick. What are my healthy options??
Avatar f tn I think situps are ok until like the middle of ur second trimester when your tummy gets too big and then it starts putting too much weight on your guts when u lay on your back, thats why i really like the hula hoop one, its good for the tummy muscles
1175033 tn?1492201228 Sure you can do the hula! I've done hula on a couple vacations to Hawaii! ;) You can do just about anything you want as long as it's not high impact - no jumping or long distance running, for example. You can walk, hike, bike, do low impact aerobic exercise, yoga (carefully - certain positions you'll want to avoid), tai chi, swim, light weight training, etc. You'll probably be told not to lift anything heavier than 20 or 30 pounds, and to be careful to avoid falls.
Avatar f tn I weighed 158 before i got pregnant and I'm 20+4 and weigh 144 i actually got down to 141 a few weeks ago i hate this bcuz i did everything to lose weight before i got pregnant and could only get down yo 158 and now that i actually want to gain the weight I'm losing it!
Avatar f tn I'm 20 weeks. I'd lost 15lbs at one time. I've gained back 5 lbs but my baby's just fine. Kicking as I type.
