Avatar f tn The easiest way to loose weight is to identify what type of food you consume the most, then quit eating it for a few weeks. For example: if you drink soda everyday stop drinking it. If you eat dairy products a lot, eleminate them. If you want drop the pounds in a few days, follow this plan. Drink only tea for breakfast and lunch, then have a big salad with chicken or something healthy for dinner; Don't forget to drink lots of water!!

Avatar f tn Eat healthy and stay away from bad carbs and starchy foods. Bad carbs would be white bread, white rice, basically white anything lol, soda, sugary stuff, fried stuff, and try not to eat starchy veggies such as potatos. Eat white lean meats, lots of veggies, fruits, and all the water you can drink. You can go for walks, and do different kinds of squats and lunges, and even lift light hand weights. Go on youtube and try the prenatal workouts on there. You can also do yoga!

Avatar f tn Have you had your thyroid checked to make sure it isn't under active? I have hypothyroidism and losing weight is a real struggle for me. Best thing to do is watch portion sizes. I don't really believe in eliminating certain food groups from the diet (except junk and even that shouldn't be completely eliminated, because it makes us feel deprived). Most veggies are considered "free", so make sure you load on them.

A healthy lifestyle starts within yourself first and the way you see your self-image. You need to find the beauty in your own body before you can ask your body to shape itself further. The irony behind eating disorders and losing weight is that you actually aren't losing any fat mass by way of these disorders.

Avatar f tn Hello there, It would be really dangerous to you to lose that much weight, ie 15 lbs in 2 weeks. A good amount of weight is about 2 lbs per week. The middle of August is about 4 weeks away. Even in 4 weeks, unless you go on what I would call a drastic diet or a starvation diet which would probably put your body in shock, you can't lose 15 lbs in a healthy way. Some people might think that if you drastically reduce your calorie intake, the weight will just fall off you. This is not true.

While you might lose a considerable amount of weight on it, which might be nice, the chances of gaining it all back, once you go off the med are extremely high. But maybe, since you're under weight you don't really have fat to burn, you just need to tone your muscles? If that's the case, exercise will be the key. You might try yoga for that - works great.
