Avatar f tn You should try to lose what you can lose in a healthy manner now. Start a healthy eating plan now and avoid all type of junk food, soda, dairy products and white sugar.
Avatar f tn I am a little bit chubby and i want to lose 9 kg in fastest amount of time to still be healthy. So i don't support starving and belive in moderation. I want to lose this weight till the end of 2014 anybody have any ideas?
Avatar f tn Getting down to 120 lbs brings you almost to the under weight category. Be very careful losing that much weight, at this point.
Avatar f tn Aside indulging in moderate amounts of physical exercise it is also essential to maintain a healthy diet plan. It is important to know that a diet plan is not about cutting down calories; it’s about ‘healthy’ eating. With cutting on diet one may initially lose weight but this may remain static or increase later.
Avatar f tn I do feel losing 15 kg in 3 months is unrealistic if you plan to do this healthily. I've lost 15 kg but it has taken me 12 months. However, it hasn't been an onerous task, whereas diets I've done in the past have been. This time, I changed my life style as well as my eating habits. I haven't cut out chocolate altogether, and I cut it down gradually (which is why it's taken 12 months). I found that the craving for it dissolved over time, and now I rarely eat it.
Avatar f tn It also helps to plan your meals ahead of time so that you know before hand how many calories your going to eat that day. You dont have to eat much of some foods to keep from losing weight. You can purchase the calorie counter book in a paper back at most any book store... Id also suggest that you try eating 1,500to 1,600 calories daily. Most males usually use or burn about 2400 calories daily.
Avatar f tn I would suggest making an appointment with your family doctor to discuss a realistic weight loss and a possible new food plan to achieve this new realistic goal. Losing 15 lbs in 2 weeks is not realistic and can put your health in jeopardy, big time. I wish you well.
542730 tn?1234673838 thank u. i havent had this weight on for a long period of time. maybe a year. so i'm hoping if i stick to what i plan on doing i hope i can lose it before then. as sad as it sounds, yes i dislike all veggies but i think i might force myself to eat them. i havent tried them in a long time so i'm hoping i will like them this time. :) thank u again!
Avatar f tn I too have the same problem and I am also trying to lose weight. First and foremost is changing your eating habits. Eat healthier, have your 3 meals and snack on healthy snacks like almonds, raw veggies, fruits, yogurt... every 2 to 3 hours to keep your metabolism up. Try keeping a food diary, I suggest using the app My Fitness Pal to track calories and exercise. Start off with easier exercise programs. Try an hour a day. Cardio will help get your heart rate up but don't over do it.
Avatar m tn Hi there! If you are aiming at losing weight, it is important to calculate your current BMI and the target BMI. The target BMI should be in a healthy range. Aside indulging in moderate amounts of physical exercise it is also essential to maintain a healthy diet plan. A healthy diet should consist of adequate amounts of calories with carbohydrates, proteins, fat and plenty of fruits and vegetables to supply vitamins and minerals.

Avatar n tn I have a hard time losing weight fast? What are some of the healthy foods that you should be eating that will give the proteins and vitamins; not the fats and carbs?
Avatar f tn Yes definitely going to plan on losing more and get back to my weight I was when I just got out of school a few years ago. But I guess we will take it as being healthy when we pick up weight. I see I'm picking up about 0.5kg per week now. Which probably means the Lil man is growing rapidly.
594189 tn?1386916607 Well... the recommended amount of weight per week is 1-2 pounds. Just wanting to ask, do you exercise and follow a healthy meal plan?
Avatar n tn s keeping you from losing weight. By eating regular meals, you can better incorporate a mix of vegetables, protein, whole grains and healthy fats into your diet. Snacking, typically, ends up being fruit, candy bars, crackers, sandwiches, chips and all the things that aren't so good for you and tend to make you, either, gain or hold onto weight.
Avatar m tn Skipping any of the food components is not considered healthy. Also when aiming at losing weight the protein intake may be slightly increased and the carbohydrate intake slightly lowered. The calorie requirement should also be adjusted for ones physical activities as well. Lower than adequate calorie intake can also cause weight gain, due to the stress hormones kicking in. Start with a healthy breakfast, moderate lunch and light dinner. Also keep a track of calorie intake and your work out.
Avatar m tn The mantra to a healthy body weight is a healthy lifestyle. If you are aiming at losing weight, it is important to calculate your current BMI and the target BMI. The target BMI should be in a healthy range. Aside indulging in moderate amounts of physical exercise it is also essential to maintain a healthy diet plan. It is important to know that a diet plan is not about cutting down calories; it’s about ‘healthy’ eating.
649848 tn?1534633700 You can have more than one goal. If weight loss is your goal, safe weight loss is 1-2 pounds/week. Since losing weight too quickly can be dangerous and often results in gaining much, if not all, of it back, I don’t recommend that you try to lose much more than that. We advocate healthy weight loss vs fad diets, pills, etc.
Avatar n tn Are you losing weight at all? The best way to keep weight off is to lose a bit at a time so it stays off, and you don't say if you're getting anywhere or getting nowhere. I would ask, if this exercise is new to you, meaning you weren't doing this before, do you notice anything positive happening in the shape of your body?
1961938 tn?1398718101 I am in a weight loss group from before I was pregnant. I'm only still in it because its paid up for another year and I am the assistant weight recorder in it. Of course I have a doctors note saying I'm pregnant and can't be losing lots of weight so my weight doesn't help or hurt the group. Anyways, my sister is in the group as well, as the official weight recorder. She is on my case about my weight constantly!
Avatar f tn Its good you've set a goal and are looking to find out how to achieve it! However losing 15 pounds in a month is unrealistic and unhealthy. Did you know it takes about a year for your body to adjust to losing 10 pounds? It's important to remember weight loss is a marathon and not a sprint. In order to lose weight and keep it off, you shouldn't look at it as weight loss but a way to become healthier!
3156883 tn?1359463777 I heard that it does help you lose weight, but not necessarily inches around your tummy...which is what I would nd must concerned about. This pregnancy I am all tummy. Plus with my first my baby was really sensitive with what I ate...it was like all I could eat was boiled chicken (some seasonings made his colic worse) and mashed potatoes. Most veggies gave him gas too. I don't see how he could be getting very many nutrients that way, even with the prenatals...
