Avatar m tn Hi, Unfortunately to lose 35 pounds before June is impossible. Try to aim at losing 2 pounds per week, you would lose 16 pounds ! Exercises- walking briskly, jogging a small amount of running, too much running can be bad for you and your bones as your still young and developing. Horse-riding, swimming, karate. even like using a skipping rope or trampolining half an hour a day can make a difference.
Avatar f tn There are plenty of exercises that use only your own body weight for strength exercises, or you can try yoga, which is excellent. You can google "yoga" and come up with hundreds of yoga videos.
Avatar f tn The same was true in losing weight. I set small goals and trying to imagine losing 165 pounds was too daunting. I have lost 146 pounds to date and have set goals of 2 lbs, 3 lbs, 5 lbs and 10 lbs along the way. I never thought of losing all the weight, I focused only on those small goals, celebrated my achievement upon reaching it and then set another small goal. It is not shocking to think of the total weight loss because it never seemed like more than 2-10 lbs!

Did you know it takes about a year for your body to adjust to losing 10 pounds? It's important to remember weight loss is a marathon and not a sprint. In order to lose weight and keep it off, you shouldn't look at it as weight loss but a way to become healthier!

This is sufficient to achieve satisfying results. You can exercise daily or on alternate days, depending on the availability of time. Walking is one of the simplest aerobic exercises. You can vary the intensity to match your fitness level.

I have come to a dead stop though, I watch everything I eat and stick to a very strict calorie regimin and I excersize very heavily 5-6 days a week. I cannot lose anything no matter how hard I try! Avatar f tn another thing you need to know is that weight loss often times plateaus so you may be going along losing that 1 to 2 pounds per week and then all of a sudden, drat! you stop losing weight for a couple of weeks. Don't give up, hang in there and the weight will start to drop again. Another thing is the type of exercise can make a difference.

Avatar f tn My last visit I put on 7 pounds in 3 weeks which freaked me out but all it did was put me at 2 pounds over my pre-pregnancy weight. I go back Monday and ive been weighting myself at home, if my scale is right i dropped 3 pounds. Weight shifts like crazy.
1597722 tn?1297379694 Whilst exercising, it is a good idea to take measurements instead of weighing yourself. Excersing causes you to build muscle mass whilst losing weight, which can be discouraging when you hop on the scales! It is best to eat 5 - 6 healthy meals a day and exercise for at least 30mins a day. Walking is great. Don't go into it too quickly though or you will burn yourself out!
Avatar f tn Not if you do chest toning exercises while losing weight. You don't want to lose weight without toning up your body as you go, anyways. Doing so would only cause you to have saggy skin and stretch marks all over your body. Make sure you are toning up! Also, spend the extra money to make sure A. you have a really good supportive everyday bra and B. you have a good, supportive exercise bra. As far as exercise goes, I recommend weight training every other day and cardio on the off days.
Avatar f tn A healthy nutrition plan is the very first thing you should start with. Stay away from sugars and starches, eat plenty of veggies especially the greens, get plenty of lean protein in your diet like chicken breasts, most fish, lean pork tender loin, and very lean red meat. Exercise daily if possible. Even if only 10-15 minutes a day, don't think that because you can't spend a ton of time exercising that it's a waste of time. Any exercise at all is better than none.

Two weeks ago I started weight watchers, which I have been following faithfully. I also do zumba classes here and there when I have the time. I can feel that I am getting stronger and able to do the exercises without getting as winded, however I have not lost any weight nor have I noticed any of my clothes fitting any looser.
