Exercises- walking briskly, jogging a small amount of running, too much running can be bad for you and your bones as your still young and developing. Horse-riding, swimming, karate. even like using a skipping rope or trampolining half an hour a day can make a difference.

Avatar f tn The same was true in losing weight. I set small goals and trying to imagine losing 165 pounds was too daunting. I have lost 146 pounds to date and have set goals of 2 lbs, 3 lbs, 5 lbs and 10 lbs along the way. I never thought of losing all the weight, I focused only on those small goals, celebrated my achievement upon reaching it and then set another small goal. It is not shocking to think of the total weight loss because it never seemed like more than 2-10 lbs!

Did you know it takes about a year for your body to adjust to losing 10 pounds? It's important to remember weight loss is a marathon and not a sprint. In order to lose weight and keep it off, you shouldn't look at it as weight loss but a way to become healthier!

Drinking water helps you feel full and also flushes out fluid from your kidneys, which may reduce bloating. Avoid eating salty fast foods, candies and cut down on at least 500 calories per day. Avoid intake of hidden calories in salad dressings, cheese, butter etc.

If this is a personal decision based on appearance, the first thing to do is analyze your food intake. You said you're busy with college. Does that mean you eat hamburgers & French fries ? Buy a bag of apples. Throw 3 or 4 in your backpack. They are better for you, but remember all food has calories. Each large apple has about 100 calories.

Start simple, with push-ups with a variety of hand positions (together, shoulder width, spread apart), and make a point of keeping your abdominal muscles tight during the exercise. You can also try yoga - you will be amazed at how it will help build your core and burn fat if you do it deliberately. Good luck!
