Avatar f tn For losing weight the most effective way is to sprint for about 30seconds then jog for 30seconds and keep this going for about half an hour
Avatar n tn As the first comment correctly stated, losing weight fast doesn't last and leaves you weaker, which you don't want to be if you're getting ready for basic training. Why not wait to join the military until you're ready?
2188958 tn?1346444891 I think that was the key to me losing weight, bc as soon as I stopped nursing gained the weight back. My second it took about 6 months to get to my pre-pregnancy weight, and again I stayed skinny until I stopped breastfeeding, then I gained about 15 lbs. With this pregnancy I am much older, and I have gained so much weight already that I doubt I will lose it all very quickly, if at all :/ I plan to work out if I can this time.
Avatar f tn I would like to drop my weight down to 50 or 55. Is that an unhealthy weight? And this weight tracker thing says I have to eat around 1200 calories in every day, isn't that a little bit too little? Or is that right? And a side note, I have an injury that doesn't allow me to do any high impact sport, including running, any helpful tips?
Avatar f tn Have you thought of keeping a food journal, if even for a couple of weeks, to make sure your getting enough calories and the right kinds of foods? You could also measure yourself to see if your losing inches instead of weight. Don't forget even if you know what your doing your body sometimes takes a little longer to figure it out. Don't stop what your doing.
Avatar f tn I have been over weight all my life. With the exception of losing 80 pounds in 2001 only to put it all back on and then some. I do not eat junk food or a lot of fast food. The only way I loss weight is if I exercise. Is this normal? I join the Go Figure gym on Monday. I've worked out everyday for about an hour. On monday I weighed 237 yesterday I weighed 233 down 4 pound in 4 days without changing my diet. Does anyone else only lose weight by working out?
Avatar n tn You can also try dancing as it helps in losing wight fast or get weight loss pills followed by these exercise and calorie free diet.
Avatar m tn I went into the Army but once I got married and got on BC the weight came. Even after doing PT (physical training) in the Army, which was running 4-5 miles every other day, my weight continued to sore. Are there any women out there that are experiencing the same thing from Birth Control? any success stories about losing that weight?
Avatar f tn First if your body is not getting enough foods it can easily go into starvation mode and decide to hold or even gain weight. 1200 calories seems very low, especially given how much you exercise. So maybe you should keep your food around 1300 at minimum? It's hard to know the "sweet" spot that will keep your body healthy while loosing weight, but if you don't find it you will have a really hard time loosing weight.
Avatar n tn I have been doing weight watchers for over eight months and I have hit a pleateu, so I started running for 30-45 minutes 5 days a week and instead of losing weight I started gaining weight. Any suggestions?

Avatar f tn I found out that was eating less than before just by paying attention. In a nutshell I now eat way less, lost weight (slowly but steadily) and feel way better....without any diet. (Oh - I cut back alcohol as well...). My only recipe was Consumed Calories > Calory Intake...
Avatar f tn You also have to be careful because of your current weight. Too much running at your current weight would put a strain on your heart, your legs, your back. I advise you to make an appointment with your family doctor and see what advice she or he can give you with regards to losing weight safely. Please seek medical advice. You also have to be careful not to lose the weight too quickly as this can cause other health issues for you. Good luck with your new food plan.
1066531 tn?1254969334 I’ve been working out for many years now, and i want to know how I can tone my body better without losing a large portion of weight, mostly my chest and midsection? I’m 6ft 198lbs I would like to be around 195 but in much better “shape”. My diet ***** and i’m trying to work on it, but I work out at the gym 2-3 times a week lifting weights and running. I dont run a whole bunch though, would that help my problem or will that just make me lose wieght?
Avatar f tn t have hypothyroidism, insulin resistance, etc, as these can all make losing weight more difficult, as well as causing aches/pains by themselves. I totally agree that you need to opt for low impact exercise, such as swimming, water aerobics, yoga, etc. Once you start losing some weight, you should see some of the pains diminish.
Avatar f tn Ok thank you ladies I just had well firm legs not no more I would do lots if squats and running and still losing weight lost 28 soo far it's been 2 weeks since I had mine
Avatar n tn The amount of calories that you burn each session depends on your weight and running speed. You can calculate how many calories you burn by using the HealthStatus calories burned estimator. If you are new to running, begin with a walking and running program and gradually build up your minutes running until you can run for the whole 20 minutes. this is the link for the HealthStatus calories burned estimator https://search.yahoo.com/yhs/search?
1467664 tn?1288579313 A couple thoughts, Sam. Have you been checked for thyroid? Thyroid disease is more common with us type 1's and that could make it very hard to lose weight. Do get a simple blood test for your thyroid fuction. One sure way that type 1's gain weight is to go by the philosophy of "eat whatever I want and bolus for it". That means more carbs, more insulin, more weight and possible development of insulin resistance which you do not want!
Avatar f tn -running or even fast walking (NO WALKING) for about 30min each day is really helpful (fast walking actually burns alot more calories than running and works you out more) With running or fast walking, make sure you move your arms alot. -50-100squats each day will definitely tone your legs and hips -Horizontal bicycle or situps workout your stomach (I personally find that horizontal bicycles work me out more than situps) Sooo yuup!!
Avatar m tn I've been feeling stomach pain and a generally not feeling so well symptom for like a month now. Is it from anxiety build, I thought i was losing weight from an HIV exposure" , I developed a really bad eating and drinking water disorder. Exposure happened 9/27/11 I'm in the waiting period to retest because 1st isn't accurate enough. I had to mono symptoms too, but I'm not running persistent fevers. I had one doctors ask me before while back does your stomach ulcers hurt.
Avatar f tn I disagree that running is the only exercise that increases weight loss. I've lost weight with walking briskly for an hour daily. I've also lost weight in the past, with yoga and other forms of exercise. Anything that keeps you moving will burn calories and that's the goal.
Avatar f tn But if you mean fat from a body it can be done only by burning it (apart from the surgery). You can burn the extra fat by creating the deficit of you daily calories allowance - dieting and/or by doing exercises. Combination of both of them works the most efficient.
