Safe weight loss is 1-2 pounds/week; you'd have to plan on losing a little over 3 pounds/week and wouldn't be able to backslide a bit. I think your goal is a bit optimistic. You should first check to make sure you don't have an medical issues that might prevent you from losing weight, such as hypothyroidism or insulin resistance. Your doctor can order some simple blood tests.

1428239 tn?1333457053 You could start drinking Ensure to increase your caloric and nutritional intake....that's what they recommend if you're losing weight during pregnancy. With that being said....I would talk to my doc since you are so small, you can't afford to lose a lot...but I wouldn't worry in the meantime. Just up your calorie intake by eating more caloric food, not by eating MORE. And that doesn't mean like chips...

You will need to add in regular exercise to the lowered caloric intake in order to lose. I diet but instead of losing weight, owing to heavy workout and strength training I got slip disk in L4 and L5. I was on complete bed rest. Ever since I have put on weight.
