Avatar n tn I know the feeling. There is always a tomorrow or next week when it comes to proactively losing weight. And if I feel overweight then yes I want the weight gone yesterday. Some advice. Don't drop the weight quickly, this is rarely a long-term solution. If I took time and had the mental discipline I could have lost weight many times over. Do it once, do it right. Issues with weight and body image are taxing (emotionally, physically and financially) and demoralizing.
Avatar n tn t really need to gain if you were over weight when the pregnancy started. Eat healthy meals, normal portions, exercise moderately. You may lose weight naturally as baby takes up some of the excess calories you were consuming. I'd consider yourself weight neutral right now and just eat healthy with proper portion control and not worry about the end result of your weight.
Avatar n tn It sounds like you're doing the basic things to help you lose the weight by cutting calories and exercising. One thing you can add to help break down the fat and move it out is b12 lipotropics (either pill form or injections). I've struggled badly with excess weight because of Hashimoto's disease, so it's a bit harder for me to lose to begin with. But adding these two things to my regimen have really helped.
Avatar n tn Are you having trouble losing weight on the Phentermine alone? I am on this too 15 mg twice a day. It isn't a complete stop appetite pill. I started out taking it once a day in the morning. Then later twice per day. I helps me to control how much I eat. I started in January and now I'm 37 pounds down. But before I started to take this medicine I got away from red meats, sweets, white bread. Basically carbs all around. That got me into a good eating habit.
Avatar n tn I need help losing weight by Christmas can anyone help? I'm 143 pounds and I'm 5'6 and 15 someone help me!

Avatar f tn I am now SVR (over 1 year now) and while on meds (Jun - Dec 2014) I lost about 25 lbs but eating a liver friendly diet, cutting out all sugar, watching my portions, and have continued to follow that diet, although a little more relaxed about ice cream, etc (still no candy). I am now down 35 lbs, and plan to continue my life style change - eating better and walking more. I truly believe that may have helped me not have problems as I was overweight - still am, to a degree.
15186816 tn?1439230887 Hey there, I'm Laura, 127lb/58kg at 5.4ft/163cm and trying to get to around 116lb permanently. I want to use this app to establish some good habits like portion control and cutting back on carbs. I'm living in Europe where dieting is all about health but I still tend to underestimate portions and snack a lot. So I try to get inspired especially by japanese women's dietary habits like cutting back on portions.
5147790 tn?1364304489 Mostly water. I need help in the food part of it all. Now! I have been cutting back in the portions. I just need a friend and motivation. All during high school I was by myself, due to the fact that everyone judged me. It was hard I let what people say effect me a great deal. But what's important Is that I'm trying now. That's all I can do. So if anyone wants to give me tips, or a good music I can listen to while working out that would be good. Or just feel good quotes!
Avatar m tn The mantra to a healthy body weight is a healthy lifestyle. If you are aiming at losing weight, it is important to calculate your current BMI and the target BMI. The target BMI should be in a healthy range. Aside indulging in moderate amounts of physical exercise it is also essential to maintain a healthy diet plan. It is important to know that a diet plan is not about cutting down calories; it’s about ‘healthy’ eating.
Avatar f tn That means you'd have to lose 40 lbs in just 3 months; I don't think you can do that safely. Safe weight loss is 1-2 pounds/week. The first thing to do is stop eating all junk food, such as chips, candies, sodas, pastries, white bread and regular pasta, etc. At age 16 your body isn't fully developed, so you have to be careful of losing weight too quickly.
284738 tn?1283106819 i read online that i should only be consuming 2000 calories to loose weight.. i think i consume over that.. Avatar f tn I am struggling to eat anything!! Everything seems to trigger the bloating and cramps. Even when I eat noting for a long period of time, I get bloated. Some weeks are better than others, but I get these periods for about a week that I feel so bloated and it just doesn't seem to go away - not even with medication. I have been to a specialist doctor who did blood tests and said everything was o.k. I even went to my gynie to see if he can't help me.
10538711 tn?1443571442 If you are an active man multiply your weight by 15 but if you are inactive multiply by 13. If you are an active women multiply your weight by 12 but if you are inactive multiply by 10. Subtract 500 or 1,000 from your calories needed to maintain current weight. Lose 1 to 2 lbs. per week by reducing your calorie intake by 500 to 1,000 per day. For example, if you require 2,000 calories per day but want to lose 1 lb. per week you must limit your daily calorie intake to 1,500.
Avatar n tn Iys not recommend to lose weight too fast. I think its like 2-4lbs a week. Losing weight you need to do it in a very specific way as if you use those "lose weight fast" its hard to keep it. I would talk to your dr and see a person to help with diets and you can find lots of fun activities to lose weight. Remember a lot of people lose weight fast at the beginning but then slows down.
Business woman2 If you have stopped losing weight, then probably you have reached your ideal body weight and need to maintain that. Hence check your BMI and see. If this is not the case then you need to change the exercises you are doing and also your diet plan. Take more of fiber rich zero calories fruits and vegetables, clear soups, lean cuts of meat, fish, egg whites etc along with smaller portions of carbs and minimal amount of good fat. Take care!
20801560 tn?1512718136 I had an operation a few months back and since then I've been losing a lot of weight. I've calculated by BMI and apparently, I'm underweight, almost severely. I know people will say "just eat more" but it really isn't that simple. It's problematic for my stomach to adjust to larger portions. My antibiotics are also causing extreme fatigue; I can't exercise regularly like I used to (exercise really helped) and I sometimes skip meals.
11100381 tn?1436779908 I am at week 10, and instead of the morning sickness getting better, it's getting worse. I went from massive fruit cravings, to eating pancakes now and then, to eating portions about half a sandwhich, and now, I can barely eat a piece of toast. I was drinking ensure to make up for what I havn't been eating, but now I can't stomach even that. I feel so hungry and everytime I try to eat, my stomach screams in pain at me and I usually end up throwing it up.
Avatar f tn Im a teenager and I really need help losing weight. during school, I would get bullied because I was fat. This is why I'm spending my supper trying to lose weight. but I get sad a lot and I noticed that I eat when I'm bored or sad. I really need to get this weight off of me. I need all the help I can get.
Avatar f tn I've lost 40 pounds more or less by cutting out mindless eating - the diet diary makes me track what I eat (ok, I do that, but the diary helps). It makes eating annoying, so I don't snack. That has helped more than I thought. I'd already done the no sugared soda, no fruit juice thing - but just cutting out grazing really helped me.
