Real fat, from REAL, UNPROCESSED SOURCES, does not make you fat, it helps your body process the foods you are eating, and actually makes you thinner & healthier. Now, by FAT, I'm not talking about snack foods because that's processed sugars, carbs or trans-fat (not real). I'm talking about real foods like butter, cream, coconut oil, avocadoes, etc...
978106 tn?1285108401 I do not expect to lose alot of weight at a time. I want to do this slowly so it will stick, but the problem is im gaining weight. I lost 11lbs at first and have since gained back 3 in the last 2 weeks. I also have been more active over the last month, but admit not so much in the last week, I took a full time temp job and go to school full time so I have not had the time as of late. Help!
Avatar n tn Well first let me say im no expert here ...but i see a few things. 1. you're doing wieght training so you're likely adding muscle while burning fat..muscle weighs more than fat so i would suggest you ignore the scale for a bit. 2. you might try doing weigth training only 2 or 3 days a week to stay toned and add a bit to the cardio.. may not be eating enough ..
Avatar f tn My ages 32 yo and 10 days ago my weight 74kg. I try my diet program call OCD (obsessive corbuzier diet) and now my weight 68kg and still doing the OCD. The main idea is we must keep away from calorie consume to our body for 16 hour a day. Within 16 hour only pure water and tea. Trust me it's work for me.
Avatar f tn Hi im 36 years old, weigh 62 kilos (136 pounds) and im 5 foot 2 inches, ive been using the Wii Fit plus for 3 weeks 1/2 hour of jogging and 1/2 doing step with weights for my arms every day, im eating healthy lots of fruit, smoothies and keeping to 1200 calories a day, i am an active person without excercise but have been keeping to my 1 hour a day and im not losing weight, infact my weight goes up and down by 2 pounds nearly everyday!
Avatar n tn Fighting through the sluggishness and fatigue of hypothyroidism is difficult, but adding daily exercised can be a great aid in losing weight. If you aren't currently exercising, start with an easy walk. Get plenty of rest. The National Sleep Foundation reports that people who sleep less than 6 hours each night have a higher body mass index than people who sleep 8 or more hours.
Avatar f tn There can be a medical reasons why you are not losing weight such as hypothyroidism so it would be a good idea to see your doctor/pediatrician. Also, do not make the mistake of skipping meals hoping that the lack of calories will help you; it actually works the opposite. When a person skips meals, the brain gets tricked into thinking that the body is in starvation mode and therefore the brain tells the body to hold onto every fat cell!! A lot of people don't know that, especially teens.
4202320 tn?1366272200 Just to clarify - muscle isn't really "heavier" than fat...A pound is a pound, no matter what it's made of.... muscle is denser so a pound of muscle takes up less room than a pound of fat. Compare muscle with a rock and fat, with feathers........ You can have a relatively small rock that weighs a pound because its molecules are packed so densely, but think how big that pound of feathers is going to be because of all the "fluff".

Avatar m tn I was still kinda fat though at 130 so for 6 months i got a ton of protein and worked out and i gained some muscle and to this point i havent gained a ton of muscle even while eating/working out properly. I am 145ish now but i am still very fat for my weight . I an 5' 10' by the way. Why do i still have so much body fat after all this weight loss and working out? Is it possible i have hypothyroidism?
Avatar f tn actualy i've mentioned i do have fat on my waist.. the abdomen area to be precise and my waist is like 36 inches.. and the problem is i know running and walking are effective in raising the metabolism but due to my schedule i cant find time for it ! but really thanks for the advice... will try to exercise atleast !

(For the past year or two, I haven't worked out and have eaten whatever I wanted...although still pretty healthy overall, and I've always stayed in the 140.7-145 range.) (About me: I never weighed over 100lbs 'til my 30s. I never exercised and ate whatever I wanted, although I did lead an active lifestyle.

I am at wit's end because I feel like a freak. Moreover, even with this new weight, my stomach still holds a few too many inches of fat. Avatar n tn because my stamina fell and I could not keep up with everyone else in my ballet company. after a certain point of weight loss, you will begin to lose muscle, not fat. this is a very dangerous thing for a girl your age, or anyone of any age for that matter. At one point I was you, and I thought I was too big at 130lbs. but honestly when i look back at the images of myself from that time period, i ask myself "why did i think i was too big? i looked great.

Avatar f tn even if your not hungry id eat fruit, nuts and good nutritous snacks that wont make you feel so bloated. Almonds are a good source of fat but a healthy fat and calories. I hope your taking a prenatal vitamin because eating once a day will not nourish that baby. your want to eat 3 times a day and two snacks mini meals throughout the day. speaking you are getting full id eat mini meals.
Avatar f tn I worked out and ate less like you did, I am a teenager, I am 5'7" and was 170 lbs, then I lost weight by just excercising because of this fun dance team Ijoined, which I find quite odd because I still eat the sam junk that I did when I had a sedentary lifestlye. Now it is summer and I am 5'8" this year(I get taller every year) and I weigh 150 pounds.
