Avatar f tn I cannot exercise a whole lot do to a medical condition where I suffer from daily headaches and pressure in my head. Losing weight will actually help this condition. Besides my overall health, this is why it is so important that I lose weight. I have lost weight in the past, but always seem to gain it back. I think that I was not eating enough calories. i was staying at about 1000 a day. I lost 70 pounds, but gained it all back plus a lot more.
Avatar n tn Your Thyroid could be not working properly. I was losing my hair & gaining weight rapidly & found out that my Thyroid was to blame. That is why I take a synthetic hormone for my thyroid now. I've stopped gaining the weight but before we had discovered what was causing all of my problems I went from a healthy 150lbs to an unhealthy 360lbs in about 6months time. Now that we have me on the synthyroid.
Avatar n tn It might not be COMMON to lose weight, but I can tell you first hand that in the last year i have lost close to 15 lbs. I have not changed my eating habits and if anything i am exercising less... I think that weather you have weight loss or gain depends on many factors... such as what your body type is. I was always a very skinny child with a high metabolism. I can lose weight pretty easily and as i've been feeling worse with my Hashi's i've been losing weight.
Avatar f tn Thank you for your advice, like you said I should be put on medications to keep my thyroid in the high normal range which should keep my weight normal, could I still gain weight, that's my big issue here. With cancer in my thyroid right now I am losing alot of weight right now and I don't have the energy to workout like I used to even though I am trying. Can I still loose weight after my thyroid surgery like I am now which I hope I will it's better to loose than gain.
Avatar f tn I play basketball for atleast an hour a day, along with an hour of weight lifting and a twenty minute cardio session after that (normally on a bike). I quit drinking soda and other drinks and now only drink water, fat free milk, and an occasional gatorade. I eat less then I use too with minimal snacks. I have not lost any weight in a month. WHat am I doing wrong?
Avatar n tn Let's see a 10 yr old cat that's losing weight and losing hair. This, to me, sounds like your cat has an overactive thyroid. Try doing a google search or yahoo search on hyperthyroidism and see if the symptoms fit. There's also a possiblility of kidney disease, as well. That could cause weight loss, too, but not hair loss. My main suspicion is hyperthyroid disease. This can be extremely dangerous because the heart rate increases big time. This can cause heart failure.
Avatar f tn Only when the initial breast cancer spread did I lose weight, quite a bit, and kept losing with more chemotherapy then. This has stopped though now but I also did not regain the weight.
1688437 tn?1307982369 ve actually had friends tell me that the easiest part of losing weight was cutting out soda. Stress can also cause some weight loss so the stress of a new job cam be causing some of that as well. Try not to think the worst and be happy that youre losing some weight if you would like to lose some weight. During my worst anxiety episodes i lost 14lbs in about a month and a half. Its not uncommon for stress to cause some weight loss.

Avatar n tn I had my thyroid removed in 2007 after being diagnosed with thyroid cancer. Since then I have been taking Eutirox, 100mcg daily. I actually feel ok now, as I was having a lot of trouble with fatigue. However, my weight fluctuates terribly, and have a lot of bloating and now I am suffering with enlarged and tender breasts. I eat a healthy vegetarian diet so why am I having trouble with losing weight.. Is there any supplements or anything I can do to speed up my metabolism?
Avatar n tn Anyhow Effexor did wonders for my attitude however after 3 years I am now convinced that it was the cause for all the excess weight. Avatar f tn I think gaining and losing weight is not a hallmark or symptom of cancer. Please try to take some very small steps towards exercising, even if it is just something very simple like walking around the block. It will help.
Avatar n tn I'm trying to join the air force but I'm 10lbs over the limit. To lose weight I started doing 2 hours of cardio one in the morning one at night. At first I started losing but after 2 week I'm gaining what cardio should I do to lose weight without muscles?
1348686 tn?1310654243 I was the same way after I had it and was sure that I was going to get cancer. I still have the pain and after lots of testing I still have no diagnose. My gallbladder hasnt even shown anything. Try and relax and think about all the positives you have that would not be likely to be cancer.
Avatar n tn As the first comment correctly stated, losing weight fast doesn't last and leaves you weaker, which you don't want to be if you're getting ready for basic training. Why not wait to join the military until you're ready?

Avatar f tn Idk your not supposed to lose weight in pregnancy. I mean sOme ppl get really sick and help it but you really shouldn't lose just to lose. You should talk to your doctor about it.
Avatar f tn 4 yrs ago I weighed 138, then started losing weight without trying. Now I weigh 113 which is healthy, but losing 25 lbs unintentionally concerns me. My bloodwork is always normal, other than slightly high creatinine & alkaline phosphatase. If there were anything seriously wrong with me such as cancer surely I'd be having other symptoms after 4 yrs, wouldn't I?? I don't want to go rushing into the dr's office looking like a hypochondriac.
Avatar f tn Hello, My mom just turned 50 this year. She was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes two years ago and was 168 pounds at 5"5'. Her doctor put her on Metformin, and she is supposed to be on it for life. Her doctor told her that she would lose weight on it, and the lowest she's been so far is 143 pounds when she weighed herself within the past couple of days. She was at the doctor in December because she had laryngitis and she was weighed at 150 and he was glad about the weight loss.
