Avatar f tn i am taking methadone and tried many different antidepressants, until finally staying with zoloft. i gained almost 40 lbs since 2011 after becoming sober. i was bound to an opiate addiction for almost 10 yrs due to chronic pain and am now 2 and a half yrs sober. i had a hypothyroidism problem as well, and was prescribed medicine to help with metabolism. to give you an update as to where i am today... i am still taking methadone for chronic pain.
Avatar f tn It depends on what your starting weight is and the way you are losing it. If you have a higher starting weight and you are losing weight because you are eating healthier and exercising than your okay. If your doctor says its okay, you should be fine. Plus you have more than half your pregnancy ahead of you to gain some of that weight back. Don't stress, i am sure you'll be fine.
Avatar n tn I was 126 when i fell pregnant the first time. Got up to 155. After the first week post partum i was back to prepregnancy weight (after having a 10pounf baby which helped ;) ). With breastfeeding and good genetics i got down to 110 which im at now with my 2nd pregnancy. My belly was never taut again and still have a bazillion stretchmarks but i grew my son and im proud of them. Hard work, movong and eating healthy, breastfeeding and genetics were what did it for me. Everyone is different.

I started trying to lose weight then SURPRISE. so i looked up how to safely lose weight and it said to know how much you need to gain... 5891248 tn?1406410864 I was very active before I got pregnant. I weighed 135 and 5ft5inches tall. I used the treadmill, elliptical, my bike about 4-5 days a week. Then became pregnant and felt sick and couldn't work out. When I started feeling better and I'd walk, which lasted a couple weeks, then felt yucky again. Then I lost motivation because I think what's the point? I won't use weight so I've decided to just wait till after I have the baby.

Anyhow I was wondering if the weight comes off after I get off the meds? or am I stuck with excess weight forever in which case I will be contacting my doctor because they lied to me.

1467664 tn?1288579313 m 5/5)and at one point was 81 pounds(yuck) I lookwd gross and felt worse.but in answer to losing weight the healthy way and not only am I a type 1 I also am a personal trainer.Timing meals ,excercise and insulin are important.Cutting out carb stotally is not a good idea because your body does need the enrgy especially when you are workinh out.Not sure what dose you are on but once you start a workout plan you will see your needs decrease .

Avatar f tn I gained 65 lbs with my first little boy, lost 40 lbs almost immediately after having him, he was a big boy..mw wasn't really concerned with it. Everyone gains differently, some gain more, some gain less.

Avatar f tn For my daughter i lost almost 30 lbs through my whole pregnancy and they would get concerned because they said that she was little, she was born 40+1 and weighted exactly 6 lbs, but if your loosing a lot of weight they should check if the baby is gaining weight the way it should be
2053729 tn?1330435506 According to what I have researched, my BMR is 2485 and I eat about 1800 calories a day, so I should be losing weight just being me. Add in the approximate 2000 calories I burn with my exercise and I should be melting into a puddle! We do a lot of weights, pilates, abs, pushups, strength bands and squats at my aerobics class so I know my body is changing. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? I have had my thyroid checked in the last 4 months and it was "normal".
